While most people are still sleeping on this holiday Monday in the United States, I’m up at dawn and ready to catch a few waves before breakfast. While she’s off on her mini spa vacation, I slept in the van on the beach, just to be one of the first in the water. I’ll take a few waves then set out to all the backyard BBQs I’ve been invited to.

A five star resort they said! Expansive sandy beach, luxury spa, valet service, free wifi, turn down service, air conditioning, indoor and outdoor pools as well as lush green gardens. UGH! The events of last night flooded back into my brain as I winced in pain trying to hide the from the sun, which seemed to be extra bright this morning. An afternoon of Mojitos with Pru [shown here], turned into more mojitos and a girls night out. She is such a bad influence on me :O! Why, oh why did I drink so much, and since when do I dance on bars? I better call Pru and see what other “crazy girls night out” things I can’t remember!
I did manage to shower and get dressed for the day,
but no way am I ready to be upright! Thank goodness I had picked out today’s outfit yesterday so I could just slide into it this morning.

Hello there, Fab Free! In my last post {HERE}, I told you about the Flawless Sim’sAdventures in Babysitting quest that Ripley and I had recently completed. Today I have a quick post to share three more of the 11 free prizes that are awarded at the completion of the quest.
A Bird in the Hand
First of all, the Pretty Saffron Finch perched on my finger came from Zo Awesum. The cute little guy is so adorable, and comes with his own cage, but I kind of figured he’d appreciate some freedom so he could stretch his wings. Best of all, he is completely free when you finish the babysitting quest. When I was a little girl in real life, I used to sit quietly below my father’s bird feeder, with my hand outstretched, just hoping a feathered friend might land on my fingers, but it never happened. At least I get to experience that in SL. 🙂
A Free Top….Why Knot?
My free, long sleeved, knotted top from Tori Stylez was well worth all the searching for those two wandering twins. Lily features a delicate floral print and realistic folds in the texture. It includes a color change HUD packed with 8 options, so it’s like getting 8 different shirts in one. I chose to pair the crop top with simple denim shorts, but you could also dress it up with a skirt or a pair of longer pants on a cool day. I really like how the ends of the ties dangle down.

The Mark of Beauty
Sometimes in SL, it seems like everything is just too perfect, too flawless. With the freeAdventures in Babysitting gift from Arte, you can add a touch of whimsy and visual interest to an otherwise perfect complexion. With the Catwa Adored Moles applier, you can wear two versions of a sprinkling of beauty marks. I think they provide a lovely touch of character, and help to draw the eye to your face. Below, I’ve included snapshots of my face with no beauty mark applier (on the left) and with the second variation of the moles (on the right), so you can get an idea of the range of options available. One of the wonderful things about SL is the ability to change the appearance of your skin with just a few clicks.
Well, that wraps up my coverage of the Adventures in Babysitting quest at the Flawless Sim. The event runs only until May 29th, and grants you 11free prizes in all at the completion of the quest. I enjoyed reading the story as I traveled from store to store, and was very happy with the quality of the gifts at the end. To begin your own adventure, teleport to the Flawless Sim, and click the event sign to obtain the necessary Hud. Wear the HUD, which will appear as a red oval on your screen, say yes when prompted for permission, then left touch the HUD and select “Adventure in” on the sub menu. Directions for completing the quest will appear on your screen.
Yeah, I admit I spent way too much time and money standing in in front of machines just like this. If I had all the dollar bills back that I fed into that brown coin changer behind me, I could probably take a nice vacation somewhere.
Free Replay…
