Happy Valentine’s Day To ME!

Good morning Fabulouses!  Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and time is running out to find the perfect outfit for date night.  While I was madly trying to teleport into the Shop Your Heart Out Event last night I came across a couple of Valentines Day gifts on my flickr feed by two different designers that seem as if they were made for each other.

I finally did make it into the event late in the evening, and picked up a ton of gifts to show you soon, however I also stopped inworld and picked up the couple of gifts I found while I was waiting and I’m super excited to show you these today.

Nerido was my first stop, where I picked up the Agata Dress in the perfectly timed heart print texture – which is a new Valentine’s Day group gift for Nerido group members.  This dress is Maitreya specific and comes with a pair of panties for modesty.  The sheer black beaded bodice is part of this sexy little number and it comes in both black and red.  I have included their vendor ad below so you can see the beautiful red colour too!  This group is 199L to join, but I’d have easily paid that for this dress.  There is another group gift available to obtain, and now I’m in the group for future offers and gifts too!

Hello Fab Free’rs, I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been in major need of some rest and relaxation. It’s been a hectic week! Fortunately there’s a little spot I’ve been meaning to check out in Second Life called BRM Radio that can provide just that. It’s a serene waterside location with awesome music to listen to while you enjoy the surroundings. Not to mention there’s some free swag! Also, I recently came across this lovely skin from a new-to-me shop called E. Vary. I really like this skin quite a bit!
First, I know we focus on free and inexpensive fashion a lot on the Fab Free blog, so I’m happy to let you know about the BRM Radio location. It’s a FREE place to hangout and enjoy some fantastic music as well as the scenery and some activities. There is a 7 Seas Fishing setup at the BRM Radio off one of the docks. Need a place to rez? The land is open to rezing for all group members. *UPDATE 6/26/2016 – Rezing is open for everyone, no group needed! Fancy a little boating? The BRM Radio location is on the open water, and there’s a FREE boat rez-er so you and your friends or perhaps a significant other can enjoy an afternoon on the water. Green Hair Don’t Care!

This year it seems like the holiday season has stretched on forever, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Just before December 25th Clawtooth sent out a free gift set of red and green hair to their subscriber group. You know what that means, FREE hair! This holiday gift style from Clawtooth named “Lady Juliette” comes in bright lemon lime and vibrant valentine tones. I can honestly say I really like the lemon lime version, not only do I enjoy having candy colored hair once in a while, green is at the top of the list. Not only does it remind me of one of my favorite alternative models, Victoria Von Violence, it’s also a little witch-y.

One thing that can certainly be said about my personal style, especially in Second Life, is that it’s a little bit witch-y. One cart I always go by at The Cart Sale events is the Kita’s Sideshow Cart. The items are always in darker colors, and tend to cater to a fun but somewhat gothic fashion sense. I picked up this ruffled sweater for just 10 linens at the Kita’s Sideshow Cart, among several other things, because really, you can’t get just one! I’m a sucker for a great sweater to begin with, and this one has the added cuteness of the faint snowflake patter in the ruffle at the bottom. Not in to ruffles, or snowflakes? No problem. This pretty dark purple sweater can be worn without the “skirt” portion for a no frills version.

So we have survived Monday, some of us just barely, and are inching toward Christmas at a faster pace than I am mentally, physically, or financially prepared for! Lucky for me and all of us in the Fab Free Second Life community, there are tons of great gifts available so we can look cute and decorate for the Holidays without breaking the bank. I found this cute little rover on the Marketplace for just 10 lindens. I named him Roscoe after my first dog growing up. The little guy was so festive, I couldn’t pass him up. Plus he looks great under my Christmas tree.

The tree is another Marketplace find, and my photos don’t do this dollarbie from a shop called Love justice. It shimmers and sparkles and is really pretty all on its own. Not to mention that I love the slightly gothic element of the spider webs.  I left mine as it is, just added a “homemade” tree skirt, but I think it would be fairly easy to dress this tree up even further with your own decorations if you’re so inclined.

Now that my house and my dog are in the holiday spirit, I thought I’d do a little dressing up myself. BYRNE recently sent out a super cute sweater dress to their subscriber members. The dress is a cozy yet sexy off-the-shoulder v-neck, with a subtle swirl pattern that makes me think of the iridescent patterns on bubbles. This FREE gift includes the mesh dress in a white version as well as the black version pictured. It’s Friday and I’m so glad the weekend is here! I’ve been away due to Real Life getting in the way, demanding thing that it is, and I feel like I was gone a month. It is nice to be back, consequently I’ve got a lot of great things I want to share with you. There are lots of great group gifts out this month, this elegant black gown is the August group gift from Glitterati. The gown from Glitterati comes in standard mesh sizes with a matching alpha layer. One thing I noticed right away is the way the gown’s texture seems to change color depending on the lighting, which I think adds a touch of whimsy to this pretty gown. The Glitterati group does have a one time join fee of 100 lindens. This gown alone is worth the join fee in my opinion, get it while you still can!
