Happy Anniversary, FabFree!

FABFREE!  GASP GASP GASP!  FabFree at Fifteen is here!  Our Birthday Extravaganza has begun, and we’re so super excited to have you celebrate fifteen years of freebies, fashion and fun with us, and you know we’re going to show off the goods on the blog while we’re at it!  We hope you enjoy this shopping event which takes place in mainstores across the grid and features our very own FabFree designers, and plenty of our designer friends too!  Happy 15th!

Three of My Faves

I’m so excited that three of my fave designers agreed to join in our happy event.  My first stop was Belle Epoque where there are three lovely items to be had.  I’m showing you their 15L deal, a very pretty top and skirt combo (that also comes with matching shoes!) sized for Maitreya bodies.  At 15L, it really can’t be beat!

Second stop was Alaskametro, who always and forever makes makeup that I am obsessed with.  I may have done a little dance when Alaska said she’d participate.  Happiness!  She has three awesome items out as well, and I’m showing off the free rainbow highlighter which gives your cheeks a pretty dusting of colour.  It comes with Omega appliers and BOM layers (including some for EvoX – to get these attach the HUD). How lovely!  To get this, just activate your FabFree inworld group tag and click on the gift box.  Make sure you check out her other items out too!

Finally, I headed over to another place I just absolutely adore, Ishiku.  I’ll constantly crow about how enormously talented Nayleen Spot is, and she demonstrates it regularly with her fabulous creations.  She has these insanely cute FabFree 15 year headbands for free for our group members in three different versions (LOVE!) as well as a super cool headband dispenser that you can set out and have a party with your friends for just 15L.  Her full price item is the gorgeous champagne dispenser (hands out lovely champagne flutes like the one I’m holding) and it costs only 150L.

Toes in the Sand, Macarons in the Hand

I’m back at the beach with my fave baked goods.  I seem to take a lot of photos of me randomly eating items on the beach.  Does the sea air make me virtually hungry?  I don’t know, but it’s a trend I’m not entirely mad at.

Pridemania!

Our friends over at Second Life Syndicate are hosting a great hunt and discount event called Pridemania!  I took part in the hunt (there are some fun prizes…and a few that are not exactly PG-13, just warning ya) where each prize is just 20L.  You’re looking for a silver star hidden at each shop.  I started off at Random Matter where you all know I couldn’t resist their macaron prize.  There are lots of different pride-themed versions in the box (and I do love that bento hold).  I also went over to QE Designs to pick up this very cheerful bikini, which comes in two different shades of rainbow (ha) in the HUD.  Much fun!  You can check out all the prizes right HERE.

Nothing but Noodles

It’s a day for comfort, FabFree!  Time to get into some cozy (yet completely cute and utterly wearable) clothes, pop on the Netflix (yes I said THE Netflix for comedy purposes) and have a bowl of super awesome noodles.  Because who doesn’t love noodles?

Sometimes I get in one of those really weird moods where TPing somewhere seems exhausting.  Do you get that?  Is it just some weird thing that happens to me?  I get all “ugh but it’s soooo faaaar”.  And we all know how weird that actually is.   Anyway, EvoShop to the rescue with their 60L sales HUD.  It’s full of really cute looks, and they’re all just 60L each.  I bought this top and sweatpants set from Kymile (it comes in a full fatpack of colours and is uber adorbs) for just 60L, and the sparkly paillette sweater on top (because you need a bit of sparkle even when you’re chilling) was also just 60L from Web Dew.  The sweater has the option to have a shirt underneath as well.  You can grab your own EvoShop HUD at their inworld location.

A Shortcut to Mushrooms

On my way to the library to return some of this light reading.  You can never know too much about the magical properties of ferns and fungi, right?  It might come in handy at some point, after all.

Zooming Over

Artfully Done

Nothing like a Tuesday artistic interlude.  One of the best things about SL is always being able to switch up your interiors, your exteriors, and who knows what else.  I love decorating in Second Life, though sometimes it becomes rather time consuming and I have to take a step back before I lose my mind.  An easy way to change things up without pulling out all your hair is always through artwork, and I think I have just the place for you if you’re looking for a bit of inspiration…

First Things First

It’s all about the clothing for me in SL, most days, some of which is definitely wearable art.  I’ll first tell you about where I picked up this stunning sparkly dress!  Head on over to Posh Event, and there you’ll find that several of the designers have put out free gifts for everyone.  No need to join a group, just buy the gift for 0L.  I grabbed this cool dress (what a slit!) over at the Luna Chelsea booth (it comes with a rather extensive HUD, and also a little ribbon belt too), but there are quite a few other gifts too if you’re looking for more goodies.  The Posh Event runs until January 23rd!

Museum Visit

It’s always fun to discover new places in SL, and I was contacted about the Free Museum, which is exactly what it purports to be:  a museum filled to the gills with free artwork.  Yep, you can even take it all home with you.  Just buy the artwork for 0L, and put it up wherever your heart desires.  There are even statues so you can go full Guggenheim when the fancy strikes.  What a cool idea!  I hope you have a fun time discovering your new favourite artists.

Me Time

Oh FabFree, I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s finally Friday!  It’s time for a nice little snack, and some rather pretty and entirely autumnal sake to go with it.  I need some me time more than I can put into words, and it starts with this little Friday ritual right here.

We Continue to Hunt

I’m totally having fun showing off all the fun gifts on the FabFree Fallen Leaves & Frost Hunt.  I’ve got two awesome finds to show you today, starting with this cropped tank top from Masoom.  It’s a bright fallish orange, perfect for relaxing around the house and looking cute while you’re at it.  It’s completely free, you just need to do a bit of hunting for it!

The second item I’m showing off is the extremely delicate and detailed sake set that I picked up at Ishiku.  They are constantly blowing me away with their sweet and perfectly crafted items.  You can pick up the sake cups, little box, tray and (my fave) the japanese maple leaves for just 5L each.  Look for the glowing rainbows at both sims, and you’re well on  your way!

The Devil You Know

You know what the best thing in SL is, (no not that!) Free outfits, what makes them even better is when they come complete. Fatal Fashion is having a Haunted Halloween Hunt. LOL. Guess what you are hunting for. If you guessed pumpkins you would be right. The hunt is free but the free Fatal Fashion Group is required and runs from Oct. 22nd through Oct. 31st. Today Jacx is modeling Outfit 178. Included with the outfit, formal laced dress, shoes, leg straps, necklace, earrings (not shown), and roses headband. The Joy of the Picnic

I love picnics with an unending passion.  Especially if someone else has packed them for me!  There’s something romantic about foods all wrapped up nicely in a basket, lovingly packaged that makes me feel like Christmas on a hot day (Is this what it’s like for you, Southern hemisphere? jk….sorta).  I’m having a flashback to one of my favourite movies – A Room with A View – when they head off to the Tuscan countryside for a bit of a ramble and a picnic on the hillside.  Lovely, don’t you think?
