A sweater is the perfect medicine, especially when it’s free!

Hello Fabfreers! I’ve been a little under the weather lately, and when that happens, all I can think of is a nice cozy sweater to bundle up in, while I’m aimlessly scrolling through Facebook. Really! LOL. {amiable} has provided such a sweater, and I naturally have to show it off.

I have on the {amiable} Vitamin Color Glitter Balloon Knit Top in red, and it is a group gift put out for Christmas, as well as a thank you for the group reaching 2000 members. What’s really fun about it, the little white undershirt collar, is a separate piece, so you can choose to wear it, or go without. The sweater, and collar piece are mesh, and come in the standard sizes. All you need to do to grab this cozy sweater is join the free {amiable} group, if you aren’t already in it, and put on your tag, and it’s yours for free! I think the balloon sleeves are so sweet!

I was recently discussing the upcoming FabFree Shoe Day (Jan 15th, how exciting is that!) with fellow blogger Glimmer, and she sent me a Marketplace link for a store, called xbody,  that I was not familiar with. I ended up doing a quick browse through other item listings for this store, and came across these fun, texture change sneakers. The xbody Xaris hipster shoes [Slink Flat] are unisex, with a resize script allowing them to fit both male and female SLink flat feet, as well as standard av feet, and though I am not familiar with the shapes of other flat mesh feet, you may be able to fit them to those too. The HUD that comes with these shoes, has a few different textures to choose from, and you can change each individual part of the shoe. You also have the ability to change the colour of each part. I put together a few different looks to show you the options, but really there are so many more than what I am showing you. These puppies will only set you back a tiny little L$10!

I’m Off Your Rocker and in a cozy sweater.

While the holiday season is quickly coming to an end, there are still gifts out there for you to go and grab, that are not themed to a specific holiday, so you can still get away with wearing them. Another thing that will be coming to an end, but maybe not as quickly, is the Wash Cart Sale. My outfit today is a fine example of a holiday gift you can still grab, and a great staple every gal needs in her wardrobe, from the Cart Sale.

First off, is my sweet, cozy sweater. It is a free for everyone gift from Neve, which used to be coldLogic. This mesh sweater comes in all the standard sizes, as well as sizes for Physique, Isis, and Lara bodies. You also get a hud that has a few different options on it. The main part of the sweater comes in 4 colours, I’ve added a picture below to show you them, as well, you can choose the colour of the under shirt that is peeking out from the waist, and at the sleeves. Or, if you’d like, you can turn the undershirt off completely. So many options! I’m really not sure how long this gift will stick around, so if I were you, I would not wait to go grab it. Just buy it for L$0 and you are set!

Now, the item I mentioned, that should be a staple in every gals (and even some guys) wardrobes, a great pair of neutral toned skinnies! My lovely grey skinny pants are courtesy of the Off Your Rocker Cart at the Wash Cart Sale. Of course, these mesh pants comes in the standard sizes, and for only L$10…what a steal. The texturing is superb, with little wrinkly details, and the cutest little zippers at the ankles. I am going to get a lot of wear out of these babies, that’s for sure. If you also are in the market for a black pair, they have them too!  You only have until Jan 6th, so if you are one of the few who has not already made it to the Cart Sale…what are you waiting for? LOL.

Alrighty, as if you couldn’t tell from my pictures, while I was working on this post, my cats and I were being a bit lazy, and honestly…I’m going to just go back to being lazy with them. Boxing Day dog walking

Hello again! It’s Boxing Day here in Canada, as well as in a few other countries. What that means for us, big sales! It’s kind of like Black Friday for Americans. While neither of the items I’m going to show off today were for Boxing Day, 1 is a great sale price, and the other is a Black Friday gift that’s still available. So it’s kinda like Boxing Day shopping 🙂

While I did obviously make it into SL for a little while yesterday, I did not have enough time to run around and take a look at any of the Fifty Linden Friday items that were available. However, today I started looking through notices, and saw what Ingenue had put out for their FLF sale item. I had to run over and see if it was still up. Yay for me, it was! So, fair warning…I do not know how long you will be able to get these fabulous Lydia D. Booties in the Frosty Morning colouring, for the L$50 sale price. They are meant for the medium height feet for SLink, which I am wearing, Belleza, and Maitreya. I really do love the aqua colour of these, and they conveniently matched my new sweater I’d only just picked up at Uber, from Blueberry (I seriously got the sweater first, and then saw the boots. I love when it works out like that!). I’ll cross my fingers for you all that they stay out at this price for quite a while.

I love a warm, cozy scarf. Heck, even my new Husky friend has one! It was great for me then, when I headed over to amiable to pick up their Christmas gift (which I may show off soon in another post) that I found this great texture change scarf as their Black Friday gift, free for group members. I know, Black Friday is well over, but amiable always leaves their gifts out, so those of you who may have missed when they came out, like I did with this scarf, can still grab them later! All you need to do to get it, is join their free group, if you aren’t already in it, and while wearing your tag, click on the picture. You get 2 versions of this scarf in the box, one rigged mesh version, and an unrigged version. Both are texture change with a hud, and I also found, that the unrigged version is actually mod, so you can choose the white texture on the hud, and then tint it as needed in edit. That’s what I did, picking this lovely darker aqua colour to match my outfit.

OK, I think my pup is ready to head back inside now, and I think I am ready myself. As pretty as the snow is, and as warm and cozy as I am in my boots and scarf, I have a fire waiting for me, and probably a cup of hot cocoa. So, until next time, TTFN!

It’s all about the Skins baby!

How could we possibly top our free hair day from November 1st? Why, a free skin day, of course! I went a little off the beaten path for my choices, with some Mother Goose Lucky Board freebies, as well as a couple of their dollarbies, and 2 skins from a newer to me store, Curves. Oh, and yes, this is my shape in each skin. I love how you can look completely different depending on you skin.

First up, the Mother Goose skins. Mother Goose has been around for a long time, and always has loads of fun and unique skins in their Lucky Boards, as well as plenty of Dollarbies to choose from. If you are familiar with their skins, you know that they do not come with anything other than the skin, with the occasional slightly adjusted version thrown in, and an eyebrow shaper. That means no appliers…but I had an easy enough time colour matching to my SLink hands and feet. Not sure how easy it will be for other body parts, but I know there are lots of you out there that are still rocking your standard system avs, like myself. The Lucky Boards have super fast timers, so there is barely any waiting to get these great skins. Oh, and men..there are some there for you too. It’s well worth visiting, or in my case, re-visiting, to fill up your skin folder.

The other store I went to is Curves. I recently showed you a pretty L$20 skin from here, but there were also a few free skins, so I figured I’d show them off too. The Mia Blue Dreams skin is located in the discount room, and is free for everyone, just buy the box for L$0. BTW, it has a pretty little snowflake just under the left eye, perfect for the season! The second skin I am wearing, is a free SLF&O group gift, you just need to have your tag on to get it. There are a few extra pieces with the Mia skin, such as a set of eyes, a shape, and eyebrows, as well, the SLF&O gift has extras, including appliers for Tangos, Phat Azz, SLink hands and feet, and Wowmeh.

The Wash Cart Sale – [Park Place] Home Decor

The [Park Place] Home Decor Cart at The Wash Cart Sale is chalked full of goodies.

Choices choices, so which items do I need? At 10L each, all of them!
I just couldn’t decide so I got the home decor items and the t-shirts to wear while decorating.   

I am always a fan of copy/modify items and here is a great example. All 3 plants from The Park Place Cart Sale are copy/mod so when I rezzed them and found they were a bit big for my liking tho a quick edit to resize them and poof I have just what I want. I also still have them in their original size. Plus there is another bonus in this case when I resized them it took the prim count down. Both Tubs of Roses were 4 prims each and went to 2 prims each. I also saved a prim making the Hanging Fern smaller. Thanks to Suzy Sumerton for making her items with these options. All of the T-shirts on the cart are mesh and have cute prints on them, so nice just to toss on when you need a t-shirt to hang out in. Pair them with shorts, jeans even skirts.

After playing outside with my new plants it was time to do some decorating inside. I probably shouldn’t have put the chocolates on the mantle in fear they would melt but they won’t be there long enough for that LOL.

I think that seagull is posing for me!

Happy Sunday Fabulistas! Were you able to have a nice quiet day like I did? I think a lazy day is a good way to finish out a long week, or start a new week, depending on what you think a Sunday does. Naturally, I spent some of that free time running around and finding some fun things to show you all.

I started out at the OMG – Oh My Gacha Event. There are so many gachas there, I wish I could show you everything I played for. However, I was able to pick out a few of the items I won. My very first play was the Verocity Machine. There are 2 different machines, but I fell in love with the Camera Poses in the first one. There are 8 in total, and I got almost all of them, and at only L$25 per play, and no rares, it was pretty easy. Each pose comes with its own camera prop already adjusted for that specific pose. Lag ate a few of them from me, but when I contacted Bliour Michaels (Windie Melody), owner of Verocity, she was quick to respond as well as help me out. Thanks Bliour!

Another OMG goodie I got, were these super cute sneakers from bubble! There are 10 commons, and 2 rares to be won, and they are only L$60 a play. These are un-rigged mesh, so they are easily resized and repositionable, which totally means they could be unisex, as I could easily see a guy wearing a pair of these.

The last gacha prize I’m going to show off is this super playful hair from ploom. These come in the ploom standard colour fatpacks, of which 6 are commons, and 3 are rares. I only played the one time and ended up with a colour pack that works for my preference of hair colour, yayyy!! The cute little bows are texture change, with quite a few options to match almost any outfit. This gacha is L$75 per play.

OMG – Oh My Gacha runs until the end of the month, so you have loads of time to get over there, maybe even wait a day or 2 and let the lag die down! Who can wait though, am I right? LOL.

Oh, you were probably noticing the different lipsticks I am wearing in the picture that shows off my hair. Well, for all you makeup lovers, you need to head down to Oceane, and just behind the counter, there is a stack of gift boxes tied up with ribbon, and inside you will find the biggest fatpack of lipstick I have ever seen! Best of all, it’s free! Seriously, there are many different colours, of which I am only showing a few, and almost each of these colours comes in several different shades as well. There has to be 30+ lipsticks in there. I’m not sure how long this gift is going to be out, so make sure you run down there right away, I’d hate for you all to miss out.

A Kitty for Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I am currently sitting at home, taking a break before having to head over to my Mom’s for supper. We are having Mexican…..you thought I was going to say turkey, didn’t you 😛 We are actually having the big Christmas dinner tomorrow night, but tonight is Mexican food, and the Doctor Who Christmas special. So excited! But…..I thought I would stop in and show you a few gifts that were released as of Christmas Eve.

First, and most exciting, for me at least, is the introduction of the newest Fairey Kitty family member, Pirilti. The name means Twinkle in Turkish. This gorgeous girl is the day 24, final gift, from the KittyCatS Advent Calendar. I’m sure, those of you familiar with the KittyCatS Advent from years past, already knew a special kitty was coming, and had to be as excited as I was to see what they would look like. Brilliant dark blue with white snowflakes, and a matching collar, she is so pretty 🙂 This kitty, unlike the Firestorm ones I’ve shown before, is not a perma pet, and will need food, so keep that in mind. As with all the KittyCatS Advent gifts, the cat is free for everyone, however, I am sure the calendar will not remain around for much longer after the holidays, so make sure you visit the store before it’s gone.

A very welcome surprise yesterday, was a free gift for Curio group members (Gala & Rita Design Announcements is the group name), in the form of a beautiful new skin called Angelica. The group is free to join, and the gift is stored in notices. Once you open the gift, you will get this beautiful skin with golden eyeshadow, and deep red, shiny lips, in 6 skin tones, with 4 different brow colours each. Gala Phoenix has long been one of my favourite skin designers in SL, with her skins being my first purchase in SL, ever. I even still have those oldies, so I am always excited to see new faces from her. Notices are only around for 2 weeks, so do not delay grabbing this generous gift.

Lastly, I wanted to point out my new sparklies, which, if you are anything like me, I am sure you were eyeing up. The lovely necklace and matching earrings set I have on is the free, group Christmas Eve gift from Maxi Gossamer. You get both a long and short version of the necklace, I am wearing the short, as well as all pieces in both silver and gold. The center stones are colour change through a pop-up window. REIGN and Look*Me make a half-quickie!

I am back tonight, with a quickie for you. Well, a time sensitive sale, and a dollarbie that isn’t time sensitive…so….a half quickie? LOL.

The time sensitive part of my post, are these gorgeous heels from Reign. The REIGN.– Glitter Pumps are available in an assortment of colours, and are available for L$75, today only, as part of the Saturday Sale. Although, sometimes…the sale items stick around for a little longer, but I wouldn’t wait.
