Time to Shop FLF!

After a week of forced dominant hand thumb rest I’m back! I had no idea I could be so bored. I could have watched hour after hour of television & streaming shows. Or I could have indulged in my long time favorite hobby – reading. But no I can’t spend a lot of time on those pursuits because I am a resident of Second Life. I had to come back to make sure my flowers were watered and most importantly I knew I’d missed some great gifts and sales.

Fifty Linden Friday

I spent the better part of yesterday gathering tons of gifts then woke up this morning with Fifty Linden Fridays on my mind. I found three items I liked and put this look together.

• My hair is the FLF offering at Wasabi. The Raya Beret Ed. hair – Absolute Pack. There are 4 sizes of the hair, unrigged bangs, and 3 texture change huds. There are several packs to choose from. What a way to start the weekend!
• The frilly and girly looking Peggy dress is available at Aleutia. The FLF colors on sale are pink or green. The package comes as a hud that allows you to choose from one or all of these sizes: Maitreya Lara/Petite, Legacy/Perky, Kahlene Erika, Ebody/Reborn. I love these newer huds!
• Ingenue has these great ankle boots out for FLF. The Queen of the Galaxy boots (As I have previously proclaimed myself a queen several times I HAD to grab these). The boots fit Maitreya, Legacy, and SLink. Four colors are included on the hud.

My Undirty Little Secret

I am sure you all know that my biggest shopping crutch in Second Life is probably… hair, and that is a sweet spot for many of us girls here on the grid, but we all have real life shopping crutches too, and one of mine…  is handmade soap!

I can’t get enough of the bubbly stuff.  I have stacks and baskets, and bags full and still buy more.  On occasion I’ll even make some myself!  Anyways, I pretty much “SQUEEEE-ed” when I came across the new Soap Collection Gacha Set by Kraftworks at this round of The Cosmopolitan Sales Room, I couldn’t help myself!  This machine is just 50L per play and offers 9 commons and 1 rare (the scale).

I really thought the slippery soap should have been the rare, because it’s so funny.  I did another little GIF to show you what happens when you rez the Slippery Soap and sit on it.

Pretty in Pink

Like a few of the other ladies here at Fab Free, I also had a difficult and emotional weekend. A RL family issue hit me kind of hard, but thankfully Carson passed me the brownies and listened patiently while I had a small meltdown (thanks for listening, bro!). 🙂

Then I decided to pick myself up, throw on my favorite color (pink), do a little “wishful make-upping,” and head outside for a walk in the SL sunshine. I wound up at Small Town Green – it was chilly and snow was still on the ground, but this has always been one of my favorite sims for wandering and taking photos. It’s a bit smaller of a town now than it used to be, although still lovely and definitely worth a visit.

A Really Volcanic Ensemble

When I heard that S@BBiA had put out a new lucky board gift, I hurried over to the store and planted myself in a chair. I only had to wait a short while before an “S” popped up (very unusual!) and I received this fabulous coat, skirt, and sweater ensemble. The outfit only comes in one mesh size, but what’s really nice is that a HUD is included so you can turn on or off any of the pieces. For instance, you could wear the coat and sweater with a pair of jeans, or only the coat, only the skirt and sweater… I’m sure you get the idea! I’m not certain if you need to be a member of the S@BBiA group in order to use the lucky boards since I had my tag on at the time. But the group is free to join, and lots of other gifts are available to pick up, so there is no reason not to join, right?

For accessories, I headed over to the ULTRA Event. There are quite a few nice gifts available at this round, including the gold and amethyst (I think) jewelry I’m wearing by Modish, and this gorgeous handbag by Clef de Peau. You do need to join the ULTRA group in order to grab the gifts, but the group is free to join.

My shoes are by Ingenue, and I love the slightly retro look of them. They were set out a few days ago for Fifty Linden Friday, but as of this publishing, you can still grab them – or a pair in teal – for 50L. They come in sizes for Maitreya and Slink (high) mesh feet.

I’m Wishful Make-Upping!

My skin and makeup are by Amara Beauty for the January Powder Pack, a brand-new “mystery box” designed specifically for wearers of Catwa mesh heads. While the box itself is definitely not 75L or less, I do feel that it was a very good value, considering all that you get. This month, there were skins, makeups, and eyelashes from 12 different designers, several of which were thoughtful enough to include Omega appliers so you can use the items on heads other than Catwa.

The Julia applier that I’m wearing today included 3 different skin tones with 2 eyebrow colors (or no eyebrows, if you prefer to add your own), 9 eyeshadows, 18 lipsticks, and even included Omega body appliers. I hadn’t worn Amara Beauty skins before, and I have to say that this one is really pretty and a different look for me. I will definitely be checking them out again! 😀

Good evening FabFree Readers! I have returned tonight to show off a couple more of the The Love Pink Hunt prizes!
