Feeling Down Right Girly!

Good evening lovelies! I think I have put together the girliest outfit I could imagine, complete with bows, flower prints, ruffles and lace. Would you believe, you can have all this girly-goodness for under L$40! Yes, really.

Let me start with my skirt, as I truly believe, especially from the backside, this is the star of my show…or should I say the bow of my show. *grins for a minute* My fabulous Gift Wrap skirt is from Promagic, and you can find this colour, and several others, on the Marketplace, for only L$10 each. It is mesh, comes in the standard sizes, and come on…just look at that bow! Love it.

Needing something as equally pretty for my top, I kept searching on the Marketplace and stumbled across The Sea Hole Outlet! Do you remember The Sea Hole store, I still have so many items from that store, and was bummed when it closed. Now, I don’t know if I had just missed seeing items from there on the Marketplace all these years, or if they were just more recently added, but you can find so many of those wonderful pre-mesh clothing pieces, and the prices are unbelievable! I picked up the Odette Bustier in the Rosey Real print, HERE, for only L$8. It is clothing layers only, sorry mesh body wearers, but for those of us still using system bodies, there is nothing wrong with a great quality, clothing layer item.

If you can’t tell, my inspiration for picking the specific colours I did for my skirt and top, came from these to-die-for shoes. Yup, they were the starting point for my whole outfit. My Lari heels are from a new-to-me store called BOOB-LiSH, and are actually a L$10 steal at The Dark Side event. They are meant for SLink high feet, and honestly, my picture does not do them justice, they are worth way more than the L$10 asked for. Let me warn you, I was late in heading over to this event, so you only have 1 day left to get over there, as this event ends tomorrow (Saturday, April 30th). It’s well worth the rushed trip though, as almost every store participating has a L$10 item out, and believe me, if there was more time, I’d show you a lot more.

I am managing to show off one other L$10 deal from The Dark Side. This time, it’s from *PB* Nails, and it is my Step Into The Light Mani and Pedi. I’ve included a shot of the ad to show off all the sweet colours you have to choose from for this SLink nail applier hud. They are perfect for Spring/Summer!

The one last item I wanted to point out, is my hair. If my hair in RL was just a touch longer, it could look just like the cute hair I have on here in SL. The Beusy June Gift is a complete fatpack of a rigged mesh hair, and you can find this on the Marketplace for only L$1. Seriously.

So, if you’ve been adding it up, my totally girly outfit is a grand total of L$39, and I think that is a heck of a deal. Even better, I did all the hard work of putting it together for you! LOL. Hello again everyone! It’s accessory day here at FabFree, as I know you already know. Let me tell you, my inventory is full to the brim with all the cool accessories that my fellow bloggers have already shown off. So now it’s my turn to share what I have found. I go a walking, after midnight…

Hello Fabbies!! Happy Sunday. Hope you all have had a great weekend.  It is not currently midnight yet where I am, but tonight found me in a wandering mood, all the while, singing ‘Walking After Midnight’ by Patsy Cline. It’s a little weird on my part, as that is not the type of music I listen to, at all. Sometimes though, you just need to roll with it, so I made sure I had a good walking outfit, courtesy of Get Frocked and Cattiva.

It really started with the current January group gift from Get Frocked. My fuzzy jacket, perfect for the snowy weather that has recently been hitting an awful lot of the North American continent, is both functional and cute! I love the red hearts pattern all over it. It is mesh, in all the standard sizes, and it is free for Get Frocked group members. The group is free to join, so even better! While I was grabbing this beauty, I also saw that Get Frocked is participating in the Black and White Hunt that is currently running, until the end of January. While the prizes for both paths are great, the black path prize really spoke to my black and red look that I had going on. This silky black shirt/dress is that black path prize. It is mesh, and again, is in all the standard sizes. I really like the length of it, as you could go the dress route like I did, or throw on a pair of jeans, and rock the long shirt look. Either way, that super low neckline lends itself to making a very sexy look. As I said, this hunt runs until the January 31, and all prizes, on either the black path, or the white path, are free.

Now, you can’t go walking without a good pair of boots. I had just picked up these sweet  7 League boots on the Marketplace from Cattiva for the teeny tiny sum of L$10! They do not need any kind of special feet, and are scripted for size change, as well as have modify permissions for those of you who like to hand adjust the sizing. If black is not your thing, or you love them a lot and want other colours, just take a look through the Cattiva MP store, as there are several other colours available. These babies make me want to start singing ‘These Boots are Made For Walking’ now. LOL.

I’m Off Your Rocker and in a cozy sweater.

While the holiday season is quickly coming to an end, there are still gifts out there for you to go and grab, that are not themed to a specific holiday, so you can still get away with wearing them. Another thing that will be coming to an end, but maybe not as quickly, is the Wash Cart Sale. My outfit today is a fine example of a holiday gift you can still grab, and a great staple every gal needs in her wardrobe, from the Cart Sale.

First off, is my sweet, cozy sweater. It is a free for everyone gift from Neve, which used to be coldLogic. This mesh sweater comes in all the standard sizes, as well as sizes for Physique, Isis, and Lara bodies. You also get a hud that has a few different options on it. The main part of the sweater comes in 4 colours, I’ve added a picture below to show you them, as well, you can choose the colour of the under shirt that is peeking out from the waist, and at the sleeves. Or, if you’d like, you can turn the undershirt off completely. So many options! I’m really not sure how long this gift will stick around, so if I were you, I would not wait to go grab it. Just buy it for L$0 and you are set!

Now, the item I mentioned, that should be a staple in every gals (and even some guys) wardrobes, a great pair of neutral toned skinnies! My lovely grey skinny pants are courtesy of the Off Your Rocker Cart at the Wash Cart Sale. Of course, these mesh pants comes in the standard sizes, and for only L$10…what a steal. The texturing is superb, with little wrinkly details, and the cutest little zippers at the ankles. I am going to get a lot of wear out of these babies, that’s for sure. If you also are in the market for a black pair, they have them too!  You only have until Jan 6th, so if you are one of the few who has not already made it to the Cart Sale…what are you waiting for? LOL.

Alrighty, as if you couldn’t tell from my pictures, while I was working on this post, my cats and I were being a bit lazy, and honestly…I’m going to just go back to being lazy with them. Homeless in high style!

Ok, funny story. Here I was, doing a little decorating at my home to take pictures for this post, putting out some Christmasy stuff, when I decided that I didn’t like one of the items I had put out. So, I selected it and deleted it. Oops! It was actually my home that I had selected, and suddenly poof, no more church! What is even more funny, the actual building belonged to my Mom, so it is no simple thing to just pull it out of my inventory and put it back down, I have to wait for her to actually log into SL to put it back out for me. So now my post has turned into a Christmasy ‘waiting’ post. LOL

Lucky for me, I can almost forget that I am homeless for the moment, as I do not have to sit in the snow, I have a decorative element to make my wait pretty, and, one of my KittyCatS decided to hang around (while the rest immediately took off, enjoying their new-found, ‘no-wall’ freedom). The lovely ottoman I have, to keep me out of the snow, and the beautiful wreath behind me (easel not included), are both items available from the Park Place booth at the Wash Cart sale, which just so happened to have officially started today, and of course are each L$10. The choices of poses in the Red Poinsettia Ottoman, both for females, and males, are all really great, and I love the simplicity of the Holiday Ornament Wreath. You have until Jan 6th to visit the Park Place booth, for these, and other lovely decor items, as well as some pretty, mesh, crop sweaters.

Speaking of sweaters…I love the idea of the ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ party, and that was what I was actually decorating for in the first place. Well, maybe not a party, as it would have only been me and my cats, but…any excuse to wear an ugly Christmas sweater is ok in my books. How nice of high.v to have put out a gacha at this round of fi*Friday, just full of ugly Christmas sweaters! I got the perfect one for me, it says ‘I want to believe Santa is out there’, which all you fellow sci-fi/alien nerds know, is a riff on X-Files and the “I Want to Believe” UFO poster that Mulder has. For only L$55 a play, choose the machine you want to play, male, female or TD Kids and Baby. and then you will  get 1 mesh sweater, that comes in all of the standard sizes. Even though I forgot to grab a shot of the ad showing every one available, believe me, they are all cute. In fact…they really aren’t ugly at all. I’m not sure if this machine will stick around for the next round, so just in case, you better make your way down to fi*Friday before Friday, or you may miss out.

OK, before I say goodnight, my kitty, Cinder,  reminded me that I never did officially introduce her. Cinder is my newest furbaby, and she is the 5th Anniversary Firestorm KittyCat, The FireFlurry. Like past firestorm kittys, you do not need food for them to survive. While the Firestorm anniversary was a little while ago, you can still get your own FireFlurry at the KittyCatS mainstore, for free, 1 per av.

It’s an icy blue, KittyCatS, wonderland!

Hello again all you lovely FabFreebers! I thought I would do a wintry feeling post, filled with items that are not specifically for a holiday, but most certainly make you think of winter, and I was able to put together a very cool, icy blue look to show you all. Plus, it gave me a chance to take Pirlti out for a stroll, and I know she loves it when I am wearing blue to match her. She’s so vain. You all remember her from last Christmas right? She was the gift for the Dec 24th door on the KittyCats Advent calendar? Here’s a reminder of how tiny she was back then. It’s also rather fitting for her to be in my post, as many of the items I am going to show you are from the current KittyCats Advent calendar. So let’s get started.

My pretty, icy blue mini dress is the gift you will find behind door 5, and it is courtesy of Stellajane. It is mesh, and comes in the standard sizes. The texture on this, especially the faint snowflakes all over, is so lovely. In the picture below, you get a closer look at the 2 other gifts I grabbed from the KittyCats Advent gift. My silvery, dark-rooted hair is the day 1 gift, and it is from Amacci. The Simon hair is unisex, and comes in a male and a female size. Not shown, are 2 pairs of eyes included with this gift, a blue pair, and a green pair. The last gift I am showing off is from day 4, and it is a pair ro cat’s head earrings from !RebelHope. I am wearing the silver pair, and you also get a gold pair. Do I need to say anything else..other than cat’s head earrings? I think not. LOL. The KittyCats Advent Calendar is free for everyone, and even if you have missed a day, you can still grab past days. New doors open each day up until the 24, and if I remember correctly, you have a few days after that as well. So you can wait, but why would you want to?

Also being shown off in my headshot, is the newest L$75 special skin from Lumae. With a decidedly holiday flare, this version of the Adore face is called Tinselberry, and I just love the bright red lips and rosy cheeks. With each skin tone, you get all the appliers you could ask for, as well as options like the amount of cleavage you have, or eyebrow colour. You have until Dec 31 to pick this beauty up.

Coincidently, the sexy shoes I have on are also called Adore. They are a free group gift from KC Couture, and are meant for SLink High, Belleza, and Maitreya feet. You get a colour change hud that will change almost every part of the shoe, as well, there is a button on the hud that says 2in1, if you touch that, the straps around your ankle will go away. Hit it again, and they come back. Seriously…just think of the number of possibilities in looks you will have from one pair of shoes! The KC Couture group is L$75 to join, but it is well worth it for this one pair of shoes alone, not to mention the many other group gifts still available. You will have to pay the vendor L$1, but it will be refunded back right away.

My last find, comes from La Boheme. My mani and pedi are the 2015 Holiday Nails : Christmas Star appliers, for SLink, Omega and Maitreya. They are L$10, however, there is the added bonus that when you buy them, your name will automatically be entered into a draw that will take place on Dec 25. What will you have a chance at winning you ask? Why every single set of OMNI nail appliers La Boheme has! That’s 457 nail sets…really! What a fantastic Christmas present that would be. Since the draw takes place on the 25th, I’m going to assume you have until the 24th to get these beautiful nails, and have your name entered into the draw, so I wouldn’t wait too long.

It’s funny, any time I’m in SL, spending time with my cats here, my RL cats always seem to choose that moment to bug me. One of them just tried to lay on my keyboard in fact. I think it’s jealousy. The see me in SL, colour coordinated with one of my in-world cats, and all I do for the RL ones, is choose not to wear black so as to not have to deal with the cat fur. LOL. A modern day flowerchild – peace, love and all that other stuff.

Hello all you wonderful FabFree readers. So, RL has been a little rough for me the past 2 weeks, and while I won’t go into things, all I will say is I really needed a break from it all. It got me thinking though, what I wouldn’t give to be back in the 60’s and become a flowerchild. You know what I’m talking about right? Carefree, happy, peaceful, doing whatever they wanted whenever, and not seeming to worry over much at all. At least that’s what the movies I’ve seen with these types of characters have taught me, and movies are always right…right? In honour of these thoughts of mine, I’ve put together what I think is a modern take on a 60’s flowerchild.

It all started with me putting in random search words on the Marketplace to find new items to show you all. I happened across a really cute top from Moon Amore. It was the Hey Sexy Lace top in white, and at only L$10, I had to have it. Clicking on the listing for the Moon Amore Marketplace store, I started browsing, and found the lovely high-waisted Vintagmatic Pants in Blue. With the pretty flower pattern, and lace detail on the waist…they were perfect to go with my top. They too were only L$10!. Both pieces are mesh, and come in the standard sizes. I will warn you, the top is semi-transparent. Lighter toned skins will be alright, but I still chose to add a pretty bra underneath.

Next I needed shoes. I had happened to be wandering around the Boho Culture Fair, which finished on the 2nd, and found the gacha from Elysium with these fun fringed wedges. For only L$50 a play, you get 2 sets of shoes, a solid coloured pair like what I am wearing, and a pair with a cork sole. They are meant for mid feet from SLink or Maitreya. Now, you may ask, why am I telling you about these if the Fair is already closed down? I actually messaged the creator and owner of Elysium and asked her if she planned to put that gacha in her store, and she thought it was a great idea and said she’d try to put it out this weekend. So, if you head to her store and if it’s not there yet, give it a little time and check back. They are totally worth it.

The last piece to my flowerchild puzzle was funky nail polish, and I had just gotten a notice from La Boheme saying there were new Bi-weekly L$10 polishes out for the start of the month. The beautiful bright colours, and sweet Indian inspired pattern (albeit hard to see in my photo) of the Marakech set, won me over immediately. These will work for SLink, Maitreya, and bodies that can use the Omega applier system, and are for both the fingers and toes. I had a little fun with mine, choosing to do 2 different colours from the hud for SLink/Omega on my fingers. This set will only be at this price for the first half of the month, so don’t wait too long to run and grab it.

So, what do you think? Would I make a good modern-day flowerchild? With my slightly wild hair and being surrounded by nature? Whether you agree or not, you have to admit, these were some great deals, and I can see this being one of my go-to looks.

The Skin You’re In, is perfect for dressing up.

Alright Fabbies. I have loads to show you in this post, from hunt stuff, store sale stuff, group gift stuff , to cart sale stuff, so I am not going to chat it up too much, I’m just going to get right to it!!

Lets start with my fun and flirty dress. The Fanny Sequin Dress is from CroM, a new to me store, and it is the gift for the WomenStuff hunt that is currently happening right now. This lovely dress is mesh, in the standard sizes, and comes with a hud that will let you change the colour of the solid parts of the dress from the black I have on, to red. This hunt prize is free, although if you continue on in the hunt, be aware that some gifts are set to L$1. The hint for CroM is ‘I love new releases’. It’s pretty easy 🙂 You have until September 30th to go find the little red t-shirt hunt object.

Next up are my gorgeous shoes. Essenz has put out a new, free group gift, and that is my Bologna heels in Olive Gray. These are for SLink high feet, as well, there is a pair for Maitreya feet too. The group is L$350 to join, but the gifts are given quite often, and you receive a 15% store credit when you wear your tag while shopping there, so I think it is a justifiable fee for sure.

Now, I did mention more Wash Cart Sale stuff didn’t I. This time, I’m showing off the sweet Danielle skin, in Tone 4 from The Skin You’re In, Direct TP. For L$10 a tone, either the cleavage version, or the non-cleavage version, you get your skin, with a bunch of different tattoo options. My favourite, is the fact the skin is eyebrow-less, and I’m sure you all know by now, my love of a certain pair of eyebrows that I wear constantly. However, the eyebrows that come with the skin are pretty, and come in several shades to match any haircolour. The other options are freckles, dimples, and the teeth I am showing off in the close-up where I have makeup on. The lower picture without makeup, which is a nice fresh face, is what my skin looks like as is, with the freckle layer. Perfect for adding makeup layers to! I’ll add a shot of the cart at the end of this post so you can see all the tones available. You only have until the 16th to grab this deal, so do not wait!

As I said, the bare face of my skin is perfect for all these makeup layers you can buy now. So how did I decide what to wear? Well, while I was wandering around The Wash sim, looking at the carts, I wandered by the La Boheme store, and saw that they are having an end of the summer sale, 50% off everything except already discounted items. Of course, I had to partake in the deals! All lipstick and eyeshadow packs are only L$35 each, and all nail appliers are L$25 each. I picked out the Matte Plum lips, the Feline Instinct eyes, and as highlighted in the picture below, the Abalone nails.This sale runs until September 15th, so make sure you go fast, you don’t want to miss out. Oh, and as an added bonus, there is a 2 pack set of nail appliers for SLink, set out as a free gift!

Phew! See, told you I had loads of great things to show off, and it all came together in a cute, slightly flirty-sexy, yet still classy look. Love when it all pulls together so easily! The Radio Grind at the Wash Cart Sale shows me I don’t need clothes to paint.

Well look at this, it’s Thursday already! I have to admit, my week didn’t start out the best, I was feeling a little under the weather. When feeling like that, there are a few things that make me feel better…finding stuff to show all you fab readers, being creative, and cats. Yup, you heard me. So for my feature post this week, I was able to combine all 3! Go me!

First of all, I have to tell you about my super cute outfit…well, I’ll call it an outfit, but in reality, it’s a painter’s smock, a cute bra and pantie set, and paint, lot’s of it, which inspired my colourful painting of cats. My Painted Lady look is courtesy of The Rebakery for Radio Grind at The Wash Cart sale that I know you all know is still going on. For a whole L$10, you get a multitude of system layers of body paint, from your head, to your hands to your legs. A bra and pantie set, on your underwear layers, and a mesh smock in the standard sizes. I love the little paint smudges you can have on your face, in RL, I would totally have paint on my face. The next piece to my puzzle was a new skin, and with it being the start of another month, new, free group gifts abound! I went with the lovely Gardenia skin from WoW Skins, which is the new September group gift. You get this skin in every tone, with cleavage and noncleavage versions of each. I happen to be wearing tan, without cleavage. For a one time fee of L$350, you can join their group and grab up this beauty, not to mention a box of past group gifts sitting right beside the new one, as well as have access to group only midnight manias, and lucky letter boards. Don’t you just love the pretty pale pink of the lips? This is a very natural look, which I really gravitate towards.

My final piece, is the fun hair I have on. It is another free group gift, this time from Elikatira. The Lena hair, with the exclusives texture hud that you won’t be able to buy, was sent out to group members on the 1st. It is unrigged mesh, so you can adjust it to fit practically any size head. The group is L$250 to join, but as that is the price of one pack of hair, it pays for itself immediately! I love a great short hairstyle. You may see this on me quite often 🙂

 ** OK Fab readers. I did some investigation after hearing that the Elikatira group was not open to join, and messaged Elika herself. The group is currently closed, but has been for quite some time, due to Elika not being inworld very much. She did not want people having to pay the join fee and then not get so much as a notice from her, due to her absence. Fear not though…she is in the midst of preparing her new store location, and once it’s open (within a month, she figures) she will re-open her group! Sorry to have teased you with this gift, but now at least you know what to expect in the future.

See, I was able to get creative, albeit a little messy, paint some cats, and show off some wonderful stuff for all you fabulous readers! Yup, made me feel much, much better. OK, I am off for now, but you know I will be back. Until next time, TTFN *waves*

Wash Cart Sale – Loordes of London

OK, I’m back. There is just so much to show you all from The Wash Cart Sale, that I just couldn’t wait until Thursday. This time, I’m showing off the oh-so sexy offerings from the Loordes of London Cart. Remember, everything at the sale is an amazing L$10, and here is the Direct TP to the Loordes of London cart.

I just love when a cart offers both clothing and shoes, especially when they go together so well. That is what you get from the Loordes of London cart. The super-hot dress I have on, aptly named A Scant Bit, is available in your choice of 5 colours. They are mesh, in the standard sizes. I had to take a picture of the back too, as I just love the ties.

My lovely Amherst Leather Pumps are also available in the same 5 colours as the dresses, so you can match them up, or go with a complimentary colour like I chose. These sexy shoes are meant for SLink high feet only. I really like the classic look of these, they are going to go with so many outfits!
