The seasons are changing. Everywhere you look, autumn is peeking in, especially in SL. It is cute and cozy, all the sweaters and pumpkins and stuff. But friends, this is not one of those posts. I say NO. One of the best things about SL is that is can be always summer. Always. That doesn’t mean I won’t put out some jack-o-lanterns and snuggle up in some fuzzy boots, you know I’m always one to play dress up and appreciate pretty things. It’s already Halloween for me here all year round so nothing needs to change there. I’m just saying that here, for me, summer is eternal!
Got My Back

Uber Style
As you may or may not already know, the Uber event is having an anniversary. You’ll go to the mainstores of all of the designers and that’s where the freegifts are. Of course you’ll need a list of what stores to visit and would you believe that Aline MADE one for us to use – you can find her handy dandy list as well as full Uber details here. The free gift hair from no.match. OMG how cool is this hair? If you like to take pictures this one is definitely for you. It’s free when you click on the brown gift box at the no.match mainstore and includes everything that you need – various rigged and unrigged versions, multiple HUDS with colors to pick from, and even hair bases. I also got my skirt for free, from True Damage. It’s such a perfect metallic loose mini, and there are sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn. I love it with the little cropped tank that I’m wearing, but I’m sure that you can think of tons of ways to style yours!

One of my favorite things about aaaaall of the events in SL, is finding new-to-me stores and going there to check out their freebies and other items in store. That’s how I came across Serendipity. Here you’ll find lots of pose and some other sweet little accessories as well, but mostly poses. The particular pose that I’m using today is from the Elodie set, which is free with a click, no group join required.

You guys, I bought 3 new hairstyles this weekend. THREE! Somebody HELP! But they were all on sale, and I balanced them out with looooots of freethings…at least that’s what I tell myself.
Swinging
One of the free things in evidence is this super cute swing, which is one of the new group gift from Reka Nutmeg. It contains a few poses each for girls, guys, and even a cuddle. Just simple, sweet cuteness. You can get it for free by joining the freeReka group and going to grab it in the store with the other freegroup gifts. I had forgotten how many top quality gifts this creator has out. There are some other really lovely things to grab up for free while you’re there!
Gloom
I popped over to Abstrakt to have a look for myself after I saw Aline’s post about the gifts there. You can see her post HERE, for all of the event details. I absolutely fell in love with this skin from Gloom. It’s a free gift at Abstrakt that you can pick up at Gloom’s booth after joining the free event group. It comes in a nice variety of shades (I’m wearing the beige) and with or without brows. The thing that gets me about Gloom skins is the little imperfections, like the slight shading under the eyes. It’s just done so well and gives it a touch of realism that makes me feel things. You’re probably thinking, “Oh my gosh, she’s getting all gushy about undereye bags” but seriously it’s just so very natural and pretty. Maybe it’s not the hair addiction that I need help for, after all…

There’s a new fishing outfit at Sn@tch! If you’re never gone fishing before, it’s pretty simple to set up. All you need is a simple 7 Seas Fishing rod which you can buy near the pond at Sn@tch for 100L. With that rod, you just cast and see what you catch! I got my dress, hair and glasses today, but there are 21 different items for you to fish for there. That’s a deal and a half! In the pond there are several dresses, some great crocheted bathing suits, hair, glasses, jewelry and even tattoos! You can use that fishing rod for all future fishing outfits!

Hello Fabulous Readers! Since we have been having good luck lately, Ripley and I decided to continue hunting this weekend. Along the trail of The Grumpy Santa Hunt, we found the cutest silvery romper for just 1 Linden dollar. This outfit certainly got me in the mood for the song Silver Bells and some holiday shopping. Well, that is until I went to Walmart in RL, and changed my mind about the shopping part. The traffic and crowds {shudder} …. bring me shopping on SL any day!
If THIS is What Santa Brings When He’s Grumpy…
…I can’t imagine how wonderful his gifts are when he is chipper! With large gray snowflakes scattered across a dark silver background and cozy metallic tights, the Kawaii Romper from BlondeQueen has a definite wintry vibe. I really like the way the material shimmers in the light. The shirt portion is a tube top style with no sleeves or neckline, so I added a warm fuzzy jacket before heading out to explore the Snow Falls sim. My feet are covered up by my fur wedge boots, but underneath, the leggings extend all the way past the heel, so your ankles will stay cozy warm no matter how hard Jack Frost tries to chill you. (The jacket and boots are not part of the prize.) To grab a copy of this outfit for yourself, all you have to do is teleport to the shop and look for the lump of coal that Santa left. After that, pay one Linden dollar and you’ll have yourself a merry little outfit.

Hello Fabulous Readers! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I know mine was too short…lol. We finally had some warmer weather here, and I was outside enjoying it in RL, so I was inspired to go for a stroll with Ripley in a field of wildflowers in Second Life.
When in Doubt, Wear Red
The arrival of more spring-like temperatures (even if short lived) also had me thinking of donning a sleeveless dress. Lucky for me, Cremosas Store has this crimson little mini set out as a free gift for members of Fabulously Free in SL. With a low cut neckline and slender fit, this frock had me ready for a night on the town. All I needed to do was apply some red lipstick, add a simple necklace, and slip into some slinky heels. The simple design, smooth texture of the fabric, and deep hue showcased my curves. With versions for mesh bodies as well as classic avatars, I’m sure you will find just the right fit for your avatar.

For just the perfect finishing touch, I picked up another free gift just for members of the Fabulously Free in SL group. The Three Stripe Nails from Inevitable Madness echoed the vivid hue of my frock. I really liked how the designer created two accent nails with this black and red pattern and painted the rest jet black. This touch added visual interest to my manicure. The contrast of ebony and crimson makes such a vibrant combination. The free gift package includes appliers for Maitreya as well as Omega.
