Some days you just have to leave the beach and go to a party looking like a million bucks.  I’m not gonna lie, I wore this little outfit here to a club the other night and I got a whole bunch of compliments, and not a single person believed me when I said it was all FREE!  SCORE!

My lovely little cutout pink frilly dress is just to die for, don’t you think?  It’s by Scandalize and I got it for free by joining the Vanity Event group, which is currently free to join.  You can wear this pink number as a dress, like I have, or there is an option to wear it as a top and panty combination – perfect for the beach, I’d say.  Isn’t it pretty? Ooh, Sparkly!

I found some really pretty crystal-esque earrings to go with my look, and they were completely free as well!  I hopped over to Heth Haute Couture and bought them for 0L, no group join required.  I love the rainbow effect of the cut crystal, it just makes me happy.  Perfect for a special occasion, and perfect for catching that special someone’s eye!  Ha!  I’ve included the vendor pic below so you can see the details.

The Cusp of June

There is something to be said about the end of the month of May.  Sure, the beginning is great, absolutely – but the end… ah, the end.  It’s warm, the promise of summer lingers in the air, and you have a flood of memories from when you were at school.  Well, at least I do!  In my neck of the woods, Summer vacation starts at the end of June – so June to me was a magical month filled with play days, and popsicles and evening bike rides, all culminating with the last day of school. That’s when we could jaunt off to the public pool – can’t you just smell the sunscreen?  Ugh.  I love it.

Oops!

I meandered over to The Garage Fair, and found a whole lot of awesomeness.  There are a load of gifts hanging around, all priced at 1L, and some even being free!  I got my somewhat revealing dress from the Cheeky stall, and paid only 1L for it!  I’d say that’s a fair deal! Perfect for my walk to the pool.   My nail polish applier, that I picked up at the January & February booth,  was completely free and I think it looks just spiffing.  (I always wanted to say ‘just spiffing’).  It comes with appliers for Maitreya, and can be changed to several really lovely metallic hues.  I went with the shiny purple, because yay purple!

Hello Sunglasses Meet MONS

Oh, Hello Fab Free’rs! All morning I’ve been thinking it’s Monday, thank goodness I’m wrong. It’s Tuesday and one thing I enjoy about Tuesdays in Second Life is “Hello Tuesday”. Just a brief explanation for anyone unfamiliar with Hello Tuesday, it’s a weekly sales event that happens on the Cosmopolitan sim. For the entire day participating designers will set a discounted item outside their shop. Generally the discount is 50% of the usual price. Today the Hello Tuesday item at Swallow is a must-have for me.

Hello Sunglasses

These over-sized sunglasses from Swallow are just 50 lindens for today only as part of Hello Tuesday. In the package along with the mesh glasses you’ll get a color/texture change hud that will let you pick from 2 different lens colors, and 6 colors for the frames. Aside from the fact that they are super cute, and inexpensive I was so excited about these glasses because they are exactly like my favorite pair irl right down to the unique shape of the arm. You don’t need to join a group, just head out to this Swallow location and pick these sunnies up for 50 lindens while you can!

Free Group Gift

Next up, the jeweled septum piercing Pru has in is a FREE May group gift from Mons. The gift comes in 3 metals, silver, gold, and rose gold. Each version has the same amethyst colored teardrop gem. The piercing can also be manually sized. You will need to join the Mons in world group, however it’s FREE to join at this time.

Lastly, I did 3 photos in this post not only to show off a few of the color options available with the sunglasses, but because I wanted to use all 3 poses in a glasses pose pack from Stop Time. Each pose is included in the Stop Time “posing with glasses” pack I found on the Marketplace for just 40 lindens. I also used the built in hand poses for the Maitreya Lara bento hands (included in the most recent body update) to further pose Pru’s fingers. The pose pack includes each individual animation and a matching pose-ball.

Zen Moment

Greetings Fab Free’rs! We’ve made it past the mid-week point, and things are looking good! In my last post I showed you a cute hairstyle from Spellbound, well now I have another one. This center-part style is very pretty on, and it’s the current FREE group gift at Spellbound. There is a one time fee of 100 lindens to join the Spellbound group, however the gift hair is a fatpack with all the hair color options, and it includes an additional hud to change the color of the hair accessories and scalp.

Speaking of group gifts, Entice is celebrating 3500 members with this lovely kimono as a FREE group gift. The kimono is fully mesh and has matching alpha layers. At this time the Entice group is Free to join, so the gift is truly FREE! All you need to do is wear your Entice group tag, and pay the vendor board 1 linden, then the vendor board will instantly pay back the 1 linden and send you your gift.

Now, I know you noticed the little tray sitting next to Pru in the photo. This too is another FREE group gift. W.E. at Home has this serving tray with the orchid, candles, and Buddha statue out at their main location for FREE, simply wear your W.E. at Home group tag and click the “gift button” on the board on the wall above the tray.  This unique item also has a fun and equally unique function, it gives quotes! Click on the Buddha and he will dispense words of wisdom in open chat.

Lastly, I poked around The Dressing Room Fusion and had-to-have this pack of eyeliners by MONS for 70 lindens. They are meant for Lelutka mesh heads, and while there are 2 sets available, the one I picked up and am wearing an example of has several exaggerated and artful winged liner options. I just love the dramatic look to them. If you have a Lelutka mesh head, or are thinking you might get one, these are worth the trip to TDRF, at least in my opinion! 😛

Laney’s and ECCO are dressing me up for a partaayyy!!

Well, this was supposed to be a Friday night post, but as the sun is coming up, I’ve obviously been doing too much partying instead of paying attention to the clock! Luckily, this outfit will work out great for a Saturday night party too!

Normally when I get dressed to go out, it takes forever to decide on what to put on, but this look was surprisingly easy! It all started with this gorgeous dress from :Laney’s:. The mesh, materials enabled, Stacked Layers dress is the perfect little black dress with a hint of something extra. I love the subtle glittery striping, it just adds that extra touch of glam needed for a night out. Best of all….it’s free! It is another generous gift to SLF&O’s group members, which I will remind you, is free to join.

Every great dress needs great jewelry, and again, I turned to the SLF&O’s group. The Peridot Necklace & Ring in Silver that I am wearing, which also comes with a gold version,  is a new release from .:ECCO:., which is a free group gift for SLF&O members. If you love the perfect simplicity of this set, then you’ll be happy to know that there are other stones available, each at only L$129 a set, which is still a pretty good deal.

No outfit is complete without a great manicure and pedicure, well, at least for me ;P Wasn’t I lucky to hear that MONS had just what I was looking for. The SAVAGE / Nails – Slink Avatar Enhancement HUD for hands and feet is a current group gift, and it is a great set of shiny black polish with coloured tips. The MONS group is free to join, and there are a few other group gifts down there to pick up, so it is worth the group slot for sure.

Before I finish up, I did want to point out my shoes. The {ZOZ}- Nora Heels for SLink high feet, are at the current round of Designer’s Circle. For only L$99, you get a pack of 4 of these beauties: the purple I am wearing, black, tan and a pale blue. So technically, these are only L$25 a pair!

Color My World

Get on your hunting shoes, it’s time for the Men Only Hunt 2. This hunt’s theme is the united color of men, and you will be pleased to find some very colorful hunt gifts along the way. I’ve taken several items and created a look that will set you apart for the drab grays and blacks us guys often find on hunts. I started with the Hawaiian Surf Shirt from Vero Modero and the MOH2 Pants and Belt, just part of the gift from 721. I added the Blue Plaid Slipon Sneakers, the hunt gift from Kennedy’s and accented with the  “Savana” Leather Bracelet from AIDORU.

For some colorful hair, I chose the Sammy Hair and Hat from MONS. The colorful MOH Sunglasses is the gift from ShadZ Eyewear. To match the shades, I chose the Omega Nose Gauge from Haus of Darcy and finished off my face with the Face Tattoo from White~Widow. The poses used can also be found on the hunt at Purple Poses.
