It’s Cold Outside

Sometimes I am pretty certain I enjoy the fantasy version of cold weather much more than the reality of cold weather. As a southern girl I find I am just not cut out for all that a white winter entails. Virtual winter however is an entirely different story. I love the beautiful winter settings and the ever falling snow. I also love the excuse to have an extensive winter wardrobe. I’m a sucker for a pretty sweater. This cropped cable-knit sweater by Beautiful Dirty Rich is free for store group members. Right now the B.D.R. group is free to join. The sweater is their latest group gift, and there are several previous group gifts still available. This fuzzy little sweater comes in quite a few sizes, and has a color change hud with 30 solid color choices. The hud will also allow you to custom tint the sweater. Honestly, it was hard to pick which color to wear!

That said, the earrings and necklace I am wearing are together the free gift by Cae at FaMESHed. I love the classic look of this jewelry set, and all of the customization options. The jewelry has resize scripts for easy fitting, and a color change hud with 6 metal choices, and 15 choices for the gemstones.

Wishing for Winter

It’s the time of year in my world physical and virtual that I start to wish for snow. Perhaps because I almost never get to experience temperatures cold enough for snow where I live, I find that I long for that story-book white snowy winter. I am also so ready to break out the winter wardrobe. Thank goodness Second Life has me covered, here I get my snow, and a pretty stellar closet full of winter clothing. Speaking of clothing, this outfit is the most recent group gift at Vooh.

Vooh

There are actually several group gifts available at Vooh, Group Gift 76 is the most recent. I really like the look of this all-in-one outfit. The jacket, sweater dress, and undershirt are all one piece. I love that it makes me appear as though my hands are tucked warm into my pockets. Also, the outfit includes matching boots, and a beret (not worn). The jacket/sweater dress combo has a color change hud with several solid color options for the main part of the jacket, the dress, the undershirt, as well as the metal parts of the jacket. Additionally the hud will allow you to tint each part, and adjust things like glow and materials. The boots and beret have their own similar customization huds with matching color choices. The required Vooh store group has a join fee of 50 linden, which if you ask me is well worth it.

Winter Weather

Hello Fab Free! I hope all who celebrate have enjoyed their Holidays. I’ve been away visiting family, and though I did have a great time I am so very glad to be back. It has been such a mild winter in my part of the world thus far, I often find myself wishing for some more winter-like weather. Thank goodness for Second Life. Here I can get a snowy fix any time I want it, and not have to dig my sweaters out of storage. This cute sweater dress and the cozy winter scarf are both free gifts at the Winter Shop & Hop event. Vanilla Bae

You’ve gotta love freebies from Vanilla Bae. This one is a cute blue, green, or red (there’s a hud for the color choices) gradient sweater dress with some fun features. It comes in three versions, each in a few sizes. There is a PG, Adult, and a Shoulder Off version of this dress. Each of those labels refers to the “stripability” (yes I made that word up) of the dress. The PG version is the one with no stripping options. The Shoulder Off version is just what it sounds like. It allows you to wear the dress with one shoulder, or both shoulders exposed. The Adult version is also pretty self explanatory. I’ll let you explore those options yourselves. The best part about the hair is there are 2 versions, a static version, and a “breeze” option that makes it look as though the hair is gently blowing in a breeze. Additionally the Exxess X-Mas hairstyles from previous years are still available for just 1 linden on the Marketplace.

Izzie’s Group Gift Scarf & Glasses Set 

Hello Hello Fab Free’rs! Today I have a quick little post about the group gift from Izzie’s to share with you. Honestly it’s just too cute to miss even though there is a group join fee. I love the little snowflakes that are sprinkled over this knit scarf, and the appearance of frost on the over-sized glasses. This FREE group gift at Izzie’s is truly every bit as cute as it looks. The set also includes a color change hud so you can choose between 7 colors to match almost any outfit. The glasses and the scarf have their ownwinter individual huds, so the colors can be changed individually. Additionally the set is unisex. The scarf has male and female sizes, and the glasses are able to be resized manually. As I mentioned, there is a one time join fee for the Izzie’s group, the fee is 250 lindens, however with gifts like this I think the fee is worth it!
