Time Out for Beachcombing

Hello there Fabulouses!  Today, Ripley and I spent a lazy afternoon beachcombing over at the Sanctuary Isle sim.  I found a few pieces of sea glass to add to my collection, and the pupster found several seagulls to play with chase.  Eventually, they got him all tuckered out as you can see in my photo, so we decided to pause to tell you all about two gifts that I picked up for free, just for being a member of Fabulously Free in SL.

Did You Say Free, Kat?

Yup, I sure did!  The latest free gift for Fab Free members from Petry Model Store is this adorable GSU Outfit, which is ideal for an escape to a sun-filled island.  The teensy top provides plenty of opportunity to soak up some rays, while still keeping your bits covered.  I really like the soft shade of blue!  The coordinating shorts feature a tied belt around the waist in a slightly darker hue.  Although they look absolutely perfect paired together, you can wear the shirt and shorts separately for added versatility.  Given the chilly temperatures in RL that I am dealing with, it sure was a treat to slip into a skimpy outfit and head to the shore!  To pick up a copy for yourself, simply switch to your Fab Free group tag, teleport over to the shop, and click the vendor.

A Bit of Sparkle and Shine

To complete my look, I added a Floral Pendant Necklace and Earrings from Beloved Jewelry.  This jewelry set is also completely free for members of Fabulously Free in SL, and I have to tell you, it’s just so pretty!  Compose of a large sapphire surrounded by delicate silvery petals suspended on an intricately detailed silver chain, this collection can be an elegant finishing touch to a formal outfit, or a bright pop of bling for a more casual look.  Either way, you will look amazing!  I pulled my hair back and snapped a close up so you can get a better look:

The First Snow

Hello there Fabulouses!  Living in Canada, it is definitely not the first snow of the season for me in real life, but this is the first bit of snow this season that I have seen in Second Life!  The Atheneaum Sim is twinkling beautifully with sparkly fresh snow, and for just a while I forget that I hate winter, because it’s so pretty!

Good thing I had a new parka!

Actually I had two new parkas, because at Scandalize on the massive group gift wall there is the Parka in White AND Midnight that includes the top in two versions and the hooded furry parka.  I decide to wear the white top from the white set and the midnight coat from the midnight set, but you can wear them however you like.  Also included, but not shown on my avatar is a tailed version of the top!  The Scandalize inworld group is 100L to join, but you’re totally missing out if you aren’t in it!  At least go check out the wall of gifts!

A Year of Fab

Hi There Fab Free’rs! I found some wickedly cute group gifts to share with you today. I had such fun dressing up, I hope you enjoy them too. Two of the group gifts I picked up are from a shop called Glutz. The third gift is from Slack Girl. Keep reading for all the info.

The Horns – First I want to tell you that there are tons of free group gifts out at Glutz. Some of them are for a furry body/head that I unfortunately know nothing about, but you might want to check that out! Also, the Glutz group is free to join. I picked up several of the group gifts myself. Among them are these cute ribbon wrapped horns. They include a color change hud that lets you pick from a few preset colors for the horns and the ribbon. They can also be easily resized to best suit your needs.

The Choker – Also at Glutz this cute necklace/choker is part of a gift set called Sovereign Scarlet gifts. The set is free to all Glutz group members, and as I mentioned above the Glutz group is free to join. It includes the necklace and a matching barrette which is not shown in the photo. I really like the little crystal details on this jewelry piece. There are no scripts in this item either, making it a low-lag accessory, and you can easily resize it using the edit menu.

The Manicure – Finally, I picked up one of many many group gifts out at Slack Girl. In fact, Slack Girl has an entire room of recent and past group gifts available. The Slack Girl group has a one time join fee of 150 linden. The gift I picked up is this pretty set of bento nails. They are an elongated coffin shape with several nude french tip color choices, and a black with white tips (shown), and a red color with white tips. I included a copy of the vendor ad below so you can get a better look at these beautiful nails. The set also comes with nails to fit each of the following hands: Maitreya, Slink, Vista, Eve, Belleza, Tonic, Tuty, and Altamura.

Autumn Snuggles

Oh hey there my little muffins!  I’m just lounging about this evening – who said RL and SL don’t ever mix?  (ehehehe).  I’ve got some fun goodies for you that I picked up over at Cheeky!

What cheek!

I was toiling away the other day on the Jerky Turkey Hunt, and as I was hemming and hawing over where that darned orange feather was, I stopped by the free Lucky boards at Cheeky to rest my eyes and try my luck.   After a bit of waiting, my letter finally came up and I got this cute little (emphasis on the little) skirt that comes with the knickers underneath.  You can’t really read from this angle, but it actually says “witch” on it – the HUD has a few other options in it too, and it is sized for Maitreya, Hourglass and Physique!  Amusingly, while I was at the boards – inspiration struck me and after a bit of eye-crossing, I came across the orange feather I sought!  Much success!  I bought the contents for 1L, and inside was this cute off-the-shoulder sweater that I think can have you nice and toasty all through the fall.   You’ll find all the details of the Jerky Turkey hunt right HERE.
