Death Before Decaf

It’s been a long time since I’ve been “hunting” in Second Life, but this is my personal favorite season for hunts. The Autumn Effect Hunt started recently, and I’m really excited about the items I’ve come across thus far. The Autumn Effect Hunt is a FREE hunt, and there are items for the men as well as the ladies. So far one of my favorite TAE hunt prizes is this fun fall outfit from The Little Bat.

I adore bats, they are part of classic Halloween iconography. Though I’ll tell you, I’d wear bat-themed clothing year-round without hesitation! This cute sweater from TLB is fully mesh and includes the needed alpha for classic avatars. I had no issue wearing it with my Matreya Lara body. Also included in the FREE TAE hunt gift from TLB are these rust-red colored corduroys. In my mind, corduroys are to fall fashion what bats are to Halloween, making this combo a perfect fall outfit, though you could wear each piece separately. Also fully mesh, these pants come in the usual standard sizes and have a matching alpha layer.

One of the many things I like about fall is the fact that it’s cool enough for me to enjoy hot coffee no matter what time of day it is. I’m not one who can drink hot coffee during the day in the summer, it just makes me melt, and not in a good way. This fun coffee cup is the FREE TAE hunt prize at Reckless. It’s my new favorite accessory. The cup is animated with a drinking animation, and includes a color/texture change hud. The hud allows you to change the cup and lid colors between black and white, and it allows you to change the texture of the cardboard sleeve. The option shown reads “Death Before Decaf” which I think should be my motto on some days! There is a second option (not shown) that reads ” If Loving Pumpkin Spice Makes Me A Basic Bitch, Then A Basic Bitch I’ll Be “, and I have to admit it made me giggle.

Okay, I’ll admit it, there needed to be a better photo of these hauntingly pretty eyes from Arise. They are the FREE TAE gift at Arise. These pale peachy-copper colored eyes come with a standard eye layer, and optional mesh eyes. Every once in a while I enjoy wearing an eye color that is a major departure from what one might consider normal. The second I saw these, I had to show them. They are beautiful and give a truly unique look.

It’s My Party, and I’ll Eat FroYo If I want To!

Sometimes a girl’s just got to have fun — even if it means throwing herself her very own FroYo Party! And since it’s my party, I’ll eat FroYo if I want to!

But first! We have to set up! Balloons and a table are a necessity! I found these great gift balloons for only 1L at the Sherbert main-store. They are currently a Halloween gift that have been set out for anyone, no group required! The colors are fun, and they are only 2 prims for the trio plus the spider textured brick they are tied to! That’s not a trick, that’s a treat!

I also made away with fabulous goodies at The Arcade Gacha. You’ll want to take a swing by there as well. This adorable Playful Pastimes Table by R(S)W & YKFK is only 1 prim and is currently a FREE gift at the event!

And because today is all about having fun… my pose! This fun pose by Sparrowtree Studio is called “Turkey Day Pose” and includes the spoon on your nose! (As well as other props such as turkey legs and such… all optional of course!). It may seem a little early for Thanksgiving, but I was thankful for this 1L marketplace find!

And what is a party without food? Again, The Arcade Gacha did not let me down. Not only did I pick up this fun rez-day cake for only 1 prim and 50L per spin at the [ keke ] Gacha but I also found this great FREE gift by Fancy Decor near their Gacha! Free FroYo — spoon included! It’s meant to be a hold-able food prop (it even has the animation for eating!), but I discovered that I could rez them out and they were only 1 prim each! Yay for that!

Astrid’s hair is also a lucky FREE find at the The Arcade Gacha! If you stop by .Blue Olive.‘s hair Gacha, this hair style there is a FREE gift. There are also two rare styles in the machine as well. The commons in the machine are a variety of bangs (this FREE style has an option to make the “free” bangs disappear so you can add the Gacha bangs on) or headbands. I’m only showing you the FREE style, and even by itself it’s adorable! The FREE style includes a color change hud with four colors for the hair as well as several colors for the bands on the pony tails too.

The picture above is also your chance to scope out Astrid’s septum nose piercing… a golden find if I don’t say so myself! These septum piercings by (Yummy) were just 50L per spin at The Arcade Gacha. I didn’t get the rare, but I landed the Ethereal style in gold, and was just as happy, as all of these nose rings are all gorgeously detailed!

Of course all of that partying means Astrid is all tuckered out. Good thing she has comfy clothes to fall asleep in.

Winter is Coming for A Tiffany’s Bride

Sure, you could have a June wedding – but winter is coming. And for me there is something magical about the idea of a white wedding. And even if you aren’t planning a winter wedding… these gifts are too fabulous to pass up!
