Summer Romance

It’s a beautiful Saturday and I have lots of goodies for you! My pretty look made me think of summer romance… flowers and picnics… and it all began with the new FREE group gift from *COCO* Clothes. I got a notice this morning that one of my favorite hair designers was offering a new VIP Group Gift. I Heart Purple

It’s safe to say I love when a new PurpleMoon Creations group gift is released… and the Freda gown that is available now is no exception. This purple sequined beauty is amazing! It includes the main mesh dress which I’m showing you, plus several add ons — system and omega applier gloves, and a flexi skirt which I opted to leave off because I liked the sleek look of the skirt without it.

This dress comes in all the standard sizes, plus standard fitmesh sizes, as well as Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. The PurpleMoon group costs 50L to join, but you’ll see regular group gifts for your fee (and this one gift alone is well worth that sum!).

I always try to add a little sparkle to my outfits with jewelry. This dress didn’t need much, but I found what I was looking for at Zuri Rayna. Just not exactly in the form I expected! The SL Frees & Offers group gift there (the group is FREE to join) is a FREE belly piercing! But…. a little imagination had me imagining this Chantelle’s Heart Belly Piercing as a pair of earrings.

To get the same look, you’ll need to make a copy of the piercing and then use the ‘attach to’ option in your inventory to attach one to your avatar’s right ear and one to the left. Then resize each new “earring” by downsizing it 20%. Edit the new “earring” into its proper place and voila! You could always wear it as a Belly piercing too of course, just be sure to make one extra copy that you don’t edit! 😉

Sweet May

I hope the month of May has been sweet to you. We’ve passed the half-way mark now! It’s hard to believe we’ll be moving into the hotter summer months soon. But I think I’m ready with this pretty sun dress from that is the May group gift from Glitterati.

I love the classic waist styling and floral hem of this dress, as well as the scalloped neckline which are perfect for spring’s last fling and even for moving into hotter summer months. It comes in all the standard mesh sizes.

I was delighted to discover that NSP Florals has out a May gift that seemed to perfectly match my new dress. This little rose hair piece I picked up is beautifully detailed, and while I paired it with a sundress, I can see it working perfectly with a wedding dress in June. If you’re good at editing, you could attach this to the chest or spine and make it into a corsage instead. I can just imagine so many possibilities for this lovely rose beauty! Best yet, it comes with a color change hud that allow you to change the color of the roses to a variety of sumptuous colors! As of the time of this posting the NSP Floral Group is FREE to join, making this group gift FREE. However, group membership is usually 75L. A formal gown is always a staple in any lady’s wardrobe in Second Life… and a FREE formal gown is always a plus. When I saw the Stacie gown in coral at Finesmith, the most recent FREE group gift (the group is FREE to join), I knew it would be a dress that I would want to wear over and over.

This beautiful gown with its classic styling comes in all the standard sizes, as well as fitmesh, Maitreya, and Belleza. And the back is just as pretty as the front, with a scooped draping syling that is so lovely you’ll want an updo or a side-sweep hairdo to show it off.

I found a set of his and hers gifts that are really just stunning. They remind me of early morning sunrises, warm beaches, love letters and all the good things in life. I know that definitions of happiness are different for everyone, but a great find of excellent clothes is surely a win either way 🙂

In the picture above, I’m showing you the Runway Perfect Hunt gifts from Miss Darcy’s. A little bit of hunting time at the main-store for the black and white prim, and just 5 little linden, will score you this beautiful his and hers set.

30L Saturday is always prime time to stock up on your roleplay wardrobe, and this Saturday was no exception! I found a couple of pieces that I fell in love with this morning and wanted to share with you!

This Dionne Gown in Bronze is by Velvet Whip. I’m showing it to you without the optional scarf and undershirt, as I also picked up the silver owl Coquette necklace that you can see in the close-up below. The necklace is also from Velvet Whip. Each piece is only 30L each, and makes for a stunning addition to a medieval or gorean roleplay wardrobe.

Last Exit to the Weekend

This morning was chilly and it made me think that spring was having her last fling before summer. And of course today is Friday… that last exit before the weekend. I have a few special treats to get you through the day until Saturday blooms, though 🙂

If you’ve not yet started the Runway Perfect Hunt, you should consider picking up this dress by Loordes of London. I really like the unique style of this one piece mesh cover up (which has the look and feel of layers). It’s long enough to be a dress, but short enough to be a shirt. We are all used to Christmas in July, so how about Summer in December! After all, it’s Second Life! And it’s warm somewhere on the globe, right? There are plenty of beaches where you can show some skin, so I’ll show you where to find some skin to show!
