We are in the home stretch now for the FabFree October Photo Challenge

You only have until midnight SLT to get those amazing photos in to the Flickr group for a chance to win one of two fantastic prizes! If you’ve already sent in a picture PLEASE go check the group album to see if it’s in there. If it isn’t please resubmit it and make sure you have “FabFree Photo Challenge” somewhere in the title and have credited your free item in the description!

5. On November 1st, the winners will be chosen and will be featured on the blog as “The FabFree Photo Challenge Champions”.

1. Your photo must contain at least one absolutely free item. Please put the free item’s name and Designer’s or Shop’s name in the comments section of your photo. Like this -> “Free thingy” by A Talented Second Life Creator or A Cool Second Life Store.

Nunthing to Wear for Halloween?

Nunthing to wear yet for Halloween? Or interested in a fabulous roleplay costume and on a tight budget? I have your solution!

My nun habit is by Bombard and was an easy snag from the Marketplace for only 10L. It only comes with a flexy skirt and system layers but the flow and fit of the outfit (and quality of the make) was so impressive I was pleased despite the lack of mesh.

I used slink hands and the lack of my beloved mesh body wasn’t even noticeable with this well made costume (the necklace is included and the outfit comes in several colors and styles, not just the black I’m showing… quite a bargain for only 10L).

+Spellbound+ has put out a beautiful last minute Halloween Group Gift in the form of this hair called Asylum. It comes in a full color pack, and the creator is generously giving out the ‘tears’ face tattoo as well! It is your FREE with your Group Tag which is a mere 100L for the Group Join fee… well worth it I say!

Not only does the hair include a full range of color changes, but let’s not leave out the versatility of the ‘veil/habit’ the hair comes with as well. It has 4 logo options for one… “no logo” the cross (shown above), and upside down cross, or “NILF” if you wish. Are You Ready For Tonight?

Are you ready for Halloween Tonight?  I know I am!  Kitja and Spirit hooked me up with my Halloween Outfit Today that cost me just 6L for the top (at Kitja) and 6L for the leggings (at Spirit).

You can find these items in Halloween boxes right at the main entrances of each shop which are both on the same sim.  There are actually four stores participating in this 6L Halloween giveaway so make sure you stop in at Evani and Rinka too!  The ad is below so you can see all four of the items available.

If you need a few fun Halloween accessories to complete your look, make sure to stop by the Trunk or Treat Event!  Almost all of the participating vendors have free gifts or dollarbies.  I am wearing the LVS Kids Candy Taster Holiday Bag, Turducken’s Kawaii Bat Plushie and the cool Cyclops mask by Schadenfreude.  This mask is texture change so you can match it up with your outfits too!  Again.. this is just a small selection of the treats available!

This Sugar Skull set works for celebrating the Day of the Dead or lovers of sugar skulls.

Neve formerly known as Coldlogic (still located at the same location) is giving this set away as their current FREE GG. The group is free to join. Oh Welcome back Friday, you smexy beast, you! And welcome Halloween weekend!

I went Trick or Treating at the latest Fantasy Collective event and it was a blast. You just have to join the FREE update group then wander about and click all the pumpkins full of treats. There are just loads of great give – aways!  Along with the Treating pumpkins and the booths with some of the best designers in SL… there are Gachas. I saw this wonderful Norse inspired Gacha at Sweet Lies booth and I knew I had to have it.

Völva, is a Norse Shamanistic Seeress who is a recurring theme in Norse Mythology. Sweet Lies has brought the magic woman to life with this collection. The three Rare dress and corsets are one piece and come with a HUD to change the texture of the dress and the color of the corset. When you zoom way in you can see the quality of this build. The textures are simply lovely. The common bag and fur collar come in three colors each. Go ahead.. zoom into that fur and count the little hairs. Gorgeous build all the way around.

Nerdy Spice

Hey Fab Free! Is everyone ready for a spooktacular Halloween weekend? I know this girl is! I’ve picked out my costume for Halloween, now I have a cute look that is perfect for the season. Orange is always a good color for fall. I think this pumpkin colored sweater is super cute on. It’s just low-cut enough to give it some sass without being too showy. You’ll have to do a little hunting at Nerdy Girl to score this sweater for just 1 linden. The sweater is Nerdy Girl‘s Psycho Pumpkin Hunt prize. You’ll need to hurry though, the hunt ends October 31rst!

Recently Pink Acid sent out this gorgeous jewelry set in their VIP group. I think it’s perfect for dressing up any outfit, and the pale “pumpkin spice” tone of these pearls is beautiful next to the pumpkin orange of the sweater from Nerdy Girl. This necklace and bangle set is FREE, simply join the Pink Acid group (it’s currently FREE to join) and check the past notices. Keep in mind notices expire in 14 days, so don’t wait on this one.

The last little finishing touch for this look is this striking orange lip color by ZOdiacO. I found this lelutka applier lipstick hud on the Marketplace for FREE. The hud includes 5 beautiful lipstick colors , most of which are red or pink, with the exception of the the one shown called “Goldie”. If you’re a lelutka head wearer I’d call this lipstick applier set a must-have.

Once in a blue moon….

Hello and happy Thursday FabFree – ers!

All of us Bloggers here are a little giddy over the BIG FREE HAIR DAY… that’s coming up. I hope you guys are looking forward to it as well.  In preparation, I found a little “appetizer” of ..hair…. Yeah. No. Let’s just stop that right there. A… Preview of hairy things to come….  That may not be any better. Okay, how about…. Here’s some great almost free hair styles out at the Kustom9 event…..

First up is this lovely sleek style from Moon. This is ‘Belle Fleur’ and it comes with a HUD full of pretty natural ombre shades. Did I say full? It’s twenty shades plus those twenty shades but with a glitter look. I could see this as being a terrific addition to anyone’s style.

Next is ‘Pamela’ from Blues. This hair comes with a special edition HUD of five gorgeous blue shades. Everything from a pale lavender-like fade to a bold cobalt blue. I have to admit… I love this hair. I’ve been wearing it since I unwrapped it!  I had to show y’all a picture of the back of the hair too. I love the loose weave / tossled look.

I found my Halloween costume! Halloween is creeping closer, and I am super excited! This vampy mesh dress complete with attached wings, and matching mask, is the current group gift at Katak. The gift is FREE and so is the group. Included with this vampish dress are the wings (which are actually part of the dress) and the matching mask. This curvaceous dress comes in a regular fit for standard avatars, a TMP fit, and a Maitreya fit. Also available is a matching costume for the men, making this one half of an awesome couple’s costume.

For the finishing touch to this ghoulish look, I added the dollarbie gift from Indulge Temptation at the Mad Circus Gacha Fair. You’ll find all sorts of loveliness at the festival, including the beauties in the gacha machine for Indulge Temptation, but this blood vial set for just 1 linden was too perfect to pass up! The set includes a pair of earrings, and a matching necklace. I’ve seen a lot of blood vial jewelry in my time in SL, and this one is truly one of my favorites.
