I wasn’t exactly dressed for adventuring… after all I was in my 10L Emerald Couture Dk Olive Bloom dress from the Cart Wash Sale with its asymmetrical hem and floral material…

I knew when I saw the sign on that airplane that someone had spray painted, “Do epic shit” that it was time to step out of my comfort zone and step into adventure… even if I was wearing a dress. So I crossed through the broken down fence to the crash site and wandered in.

Once inside, I explored the wreckage. It was littered with “treasures” and things I wanted to see. There was some graffiti that caught my eye and seemed important to remember: “We all bleed the same colour.” Yeah… isn’t that the truth. So many forget that in their everyday lives as they walk down the street. It’s a good motto to live under the moon by.

It had me fingering my new free texture change Lotus Moon necklace from Moondance Boutique. It was part of a matched set that included earrings too… as well as a bunch of beautiful rings, but I’d left the rings at home. I managed to get it as a group gift (the group was free to join) and I was tickled pink about it…

… even if I wasn’t dressed for adventure.

In the Mood for Roleplay

It’s Sunday! And as usual, The White Armory has out a beautiful FREE group gift for us to enjoy. Roleplay is a staple in my Second Life to do list, and I was really excited about this Sunday’s FREE gift and wanted to show it to you, with a reminder to head down to The White Armory and pick up this gift before it’s gone. This gift includes the dress you see me wearing in the picture above, as well as system leggings and socks, which I opted out of due to my mesh body. I added a few other details, such as daggers and a pair of boots, and the outfit was perfect without adding the leggings. Blue Twist

Out of the blue… I decided to get a little twisted… and put together a quick outfit to share with all of you.

The Twisted Hunt is on, and while this hunt is a tough one, the hunt gifts are well worth the finding. My amazing Rune in Blue mesh shirt (it comes in all the standard sizes) is the Twisted Hunt gift that is yours FREE when you hunt it down at Roped Passion’s main-store. There is also a nice ladies gift, two side gifts, and you can get the shirt in grey for only 25L if you so desire. A pretty fantastic deal, if I don’t say so myself.

I was also checking out the Fall Tears Hunt and when I started unpacking my boxes, was pleased to discover a pair of classically styled blue pants that worked perfect with my blue shirt from Roped Passion’s.

Stop by Horr Menswear and do a bit of hunting for the Fall Tears Hunt and this pair of blue slacks in all the standard sizes is yours for 1L and your hunting time. The cut is superb and they have a nice detailing of seams and pockets on the back rear end. These paired nicely with my shirt, but would go well with just about anything from dressing up to casual shirts as well.

It’s Sunday instead of Friday, but I am bringing you Friday news! And I’m ready for a little rain to wash away the weekend blues. Sometimes rain is refreshing you know? 🙂

First… this is a head to toe look. It will be back to school soon in my neck of the woods and lots of people are gearing up for that time of year. I wanted to enjoy some last minute beach time before it became “hitting the books” time. So I checked out the Pool Party Hunt to see what I could find and struck gold (or in this case black and white!) with this amazing one piece suit from Lady Dragon’s Design.

This retro look one piece suit is part the creator’s 1L offering as the hunt prize and comes in all the standard sizes, as well as Maitreya and Slink. Horr Menswear is participating in a rather nifty hunt… the Body of Evidence Hunt. This hunt has lots of excellent items for both men and women and I liked the look of the polo shirt offering that Horr Menswear is giving as their 1L contribution.

The Foxboro polo comes in all the standard mesh sizes in the color shown in the picture above and includes an alpha layer for standard avatars. For 1L and a little hunting time, this is a classic look well worth picking up.

Dream a Summer Dream

Sometimes we need to recharge… take a moment to close our eyes and dream. I found the perfect sim for it if you like art and books. You might want to stop by the Arts and Literary Salon where there is book discussions and art displays for you to enjoy.

I took the chance to put together a dreamy summer look while I enjoyed one of the blankets under a charming little tree I found. My look is courtesy of Wicca’s Wardrobe this morning.

First, I picked up the 1L Women’s Stuff Hunt gift that Wicca’s Wardrobe is generously contributing to this hunt as a prize. It is this lovely strawberry dress in all the standard sizes as well as fitmesh, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and TMP. The box also includes two texture patterns of the dress, so you get not only the dress I am showing, but one additional pattern. And only 1L for all of this strawberry goodness!

I was pleased to discover that the August group gift at Wicca’s Wardrobe was a sexy pair of boots that matched the dress quite nicely. These over the knee dragon boots come in standard mesh as well as slink fits. To get them to fit my Maitreya body, I simply removed my feet. They are highly detailed, and there is a male version of the boots out for group members as well. If you are not already a member, the group fee is 50L, but you get access to many past group gifts as well as these fantastic boots, making it well worth your join fee.

The latest issue of L’Homme Magazine and the related gifts have proven amazing. In case you missed it, Gabriel showed you an amazing FREE shirt from Cold Ash [here]. I was really thrilled when I discovered that no.match was participating again, and this time giving out a full color pack of men’s hair.

This is No Siren for men. The long braid loops over the back, and while the style isn’t for every guy on the grid, it is a quality hair that I know will work for many of you. It is also FREE with your L’Homme Group tag, which is FREE to Join. I’ve included a picture of both the front and back of the hair to give you a full idea of what the hair looks like.

I paired my new hair with a promo from House of Ruby. This Picnic Tank for him in Meadow Check is currently promo priced at 56L and is available only on the Marketplace for now. You will get system layers as well as omega and slink appliers. It’s a nice casual look for the beach or elsewhere and with a pair of cargo shorts, I found the look really worked for me.
