How many of us own this head but tried it but it looked anything but feminine with it?

Well, these days I’ve decided that I’ll try different heads and bodies for my posts. I like challenges although then I’m so busy I can’t really keep up with my primary tasks 😛

So this time I tried to fit the Strong mesh head by Genus project, which is great and free! The only thing you need to do is to join their group for free and click on the wall. Easy peasy! you have 4 gifts:  the head, couple of skins and a tattoo. So if you want to try a new style, give this one another chance, you wont look like everyone else, that is for sure. You will probably not like it at the beggining but if you try it with the right shape, everything changes.

The skin is also one of the group gifts on the wall ! I think it gives a lot to the look. It’s BOM and has different brows.

One month ago Mimitu had this 50L promo shape. So this month the promo is for a shape made specifically for Strong head. It makes you look confident, smart and full of life. Like a boss.

Luncheon on the Grass

If you’re an art history nerd, you may have gotten the reference in my title. Yes, this post is inspired by one of my favourite paintings in art history, Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe, translated to Luncheon on the Grass painted by Édouard Manet. As much as I studied this painting in school, I never thought I would (unknowingly) create a photo in SL that looks a bit like it! Of course, I need some 19th-Century men in the photo too, and I’m not posing in the nude, but it’s still a classic art history tradition to show people eating a picnic on the grass. I am having my picnic solo today, but I definitely have enough food to share around!

Oh yeah, I need to get to freebies now and stop ranting about art history. The first gift seen in my picnic shot are the classy Marilena Shoes. These come in a fatpack of colours and you can customize each part of the shoe including that fabric fold at the top of the feet. Pets Galore

So first off today I am going to talk about all the great animals and pets shown in my post today! First, for free, is this awesome little chameleon! Isn’t he cute? You can get him as a free gift from SEmotion & Libellune at Mancave! The event is open until July 11th and they are celebrating their 4th anniversary! These adorable alpacas only cost 86L a pull. I apologize for mentioning something a bit over our price limit, but my little friend was too cute not to share. Learning to Sail

Hey, FabFree. Have you ever gone sailing in SL? I can tell you that it’s really fun! I used to go out with my friends on the water all the time. It’s so relaxing going out on the water at Black Sea and just sailing all your troubles away. I recently decided that I’m going to learn to sail myself, so I headed over to Tradewinds Yachtclub to pick up some free boats and resources to start my new learning journey! Before I get to the free boats, though, I have some awesome free makeup and 1L hair lights to share with you that I wore on my visit to the yacht club!

Kawaii Cute

The adorable pink blush I am wearing is a free group gift at Pout!. It’s called the “Cutie patootie Kawaii hearts & blush set” which is a really cute name too! This is a bit of an older gift from earlier this year, but it hasn’t been shown on the blog yet so I’m happy to share it. There are several different patterns of blush, including heart shapes, included in the set of blushes. The Pout! group is free to join and many past gifts are still out.

They’re a bit of a hidden gem, and you can find them right next to the Nova hair on sale at the store. These hair lights are meant to be worn with the Nova hair, but I’m sure they could work with other hairs in your inventory too! You can wear the lights as white like I have here or as red and green which would be great for future Christmases!

Now back to the topics of my visit to the Yacht cub and sailing, I should also mention that Tradewinds Yachtclub has a whole whack of free sailboats out around the sim! I grabbed them all. As I really want to learn how to sail, this seems like the perfect spot to grab those free boats! I’ve been told the freebie boats on this sim are great to learn from.

Hide & Seek

I was playing a little game of hide and seek with my friends. Yeah, I’m way too old for that, but who cares? We all know I’m a bit childish. Anyways, I hid in the cupboard but eventually my friends found me. Bummer!

The Perfect Hiding Place

Sometimes you just need to hide and retreat into yourself to feel better, you know? Well, this great cupboard by Zigana has the perfect solution for that. The cupboard is only 1 Linden on the Marketplace. Not only is it a beautiful cupboard, but you can also crawl inside it and it has adorable little animations. The doors even close after you get inside it! This is one of many dollarbies you can find by Zigana on the Marketplace. I am also showing a barn skybox and a maroccan table made by Zigana as well- most of the items on their Marketplace store cost 0 or 1 Linden because this amazing designer retired in-world some time ago. What a treat!

The Caroline Dress

Caroline is wearing the Caroline dress at Evolve, and it’s currently on sale for only 55 Linden! I’m not sure how long this offer is on for so you better rush over there if you want it! The dress comes in dark purple, pink, and a light and dark teal. It’s gorg!

Finally, my rainbow nails- which are small in my photo- are only 1 L at Lorien. These nails are omega only. They have a number of dollarbies at the entrance of the store, so go check them out! It can’t hurt to shop when the items are so cheap. 😉

With Feathers in Her Hair

This cute hairstyle I am wearing today is yet another free functional demo from Alli&Ali Designs that I grabbed on the Marketplace. This one is called Olivia and she is gorgeous. The hair comes in a blonde-blue mix in the free colour. As I mentioned before in this blogpost, all of the demos by Alli&Ali Designs include one hair colour for free! This hair also has these amazing little feathers attached near the ears. It’s stunning.
