Catching Snow

Hey FabFree! It’s chilly out here. I better head back to the cabin, but I just came outside to catch some more snow for my new snowglobe. Then I’ll head back inside and grab some hot coco!

Colourful

As much as I love black clothing, I can enjoy a colourful look from time to time. Whenever I have the chance, I buy my favourite items in black. My blogger self is a just a wee bit more colourful than the way I dress when I’m alone and out of the spotlight. Anywho, today’s post is all about colour so let’s jump in and enjoy these colourful and bright items.

Multi-Coloured

Speaking of colours, the Multicolor Hunt is going on right now and they have a tonne of colourful items out at stores around the grid right now! Each prize costs only 3L, and here is a list of the hunt previews, LMs, and hints. The three gorgeous paintings behind me are the prize by Cwtch. You just click the painting to change the colours on it and you can copy it as many times as you want to display them around your house. They are so pretty and colourful! I just love them. 3 Linden for this gorgoeus set of artworks is a great deal! The Multicolor Hunt is going on until January 31st, so not much time left to get your hunt on!

Like a Swan

A while ago, folks in the FabFree chat were talking about Swan and all the gifts available at their store so I had to check it out. Swan appears to be a jewelery store, and they have a whole wall of dollarbies. Look for the ‘free‘ sign on the wall next to the group gifts. These dollarbies are separate from the group gifts. Once I found the wall of cute jewelery for only 1L a piece, I snatched them all up! The gold hoop earrings I am wearing are one of these gifts. They’re gorgeous! I am happy I checked out Swan, as this store was totally new to me until now! Thank you Fab chatters for introducing this awesome store to me! ❤

Finally, these adorable shoes are a group gift at StaphaneL. These shoes are called Lilly and they come with options to change the clasps, soles, heels and different parts of the outside of the shoe to different textures. These are so customizable! It’s a Marvelous Night for a Moondance

The moon was so bright last night I tried to figure who had a spotlight out. Then either my vision cleared or I listened to Moondance too many times yesterday. Aha! It’s the moon!

So with the song and the the image of the moon stuck in my head I knew I needed a shiny dress that will twinkle in the moonlight as I dance. I was thrilled to find one for free! As I’ve posted in the past I belong to several groups that get gifts from a variety of designers.

Luncheon on the Grass

If you’re an art history nerd, you may have gotten the reference in my title. Yes, this post is inspired by one of my favourite paintings in art history, Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe, translated to Luncheon on the Grass painted by Édouard Manet. As much as I studied this painting in school, I never thought I would (unknowingly) create a photo in SL that looks a bit like it! Of course, I need some 19th-Century men in the photo too, and I’m not posing in the nude, but it’s still a classic art history tradition to show people eating a picnic on the grass. I am having my picnic solo today, but I definitely have enough food to share around!

Oh yeah, I need to get to freebies now and stop ranting about art history. The first gift seen in my picnic shot are the classy Marilena Shoes. Food On My Mind

Hey, FabFree! I hope you’re all enjoying the hot August weather before we head into fall. It’s finally cooled down here but I can still feel some of that August summer heat soaking in through my window! Although I won’t miss the hot muggy weather of summer, I will miss my favourite barbequed foods! So I made sure to settle in with a juicy barbequed burger before the season is over!
