Howdy! I own a small parcel in SL. I’ve had it for several years and frequently change out builds on my little beach. This weekend involves doing a bit of construction. I hate to wear my “good” clothes. I was happy when I saw that Artic Storm had a $10L item out and it’s perfect for my chores today.

Am I building or or demolishing? I haven’t decide just yet. Either way I got the perfect outfit for the chore. Artic Storm is always full of surprises. From the NGN midnight mania boards to sales items there are many items you might like. Today’s all-in-one outfit, Hardward, comes with everything except my hair and shoes. You get the top, gloves, overalls, belt, and hammer. Every girl needs a hammer in today’s world. I don’t know why but striped overalls screams out construction to me. It’s a darling little outfit that’s very affordable at $10L.

The weekend has arrived, and with it comes plenty of sales.  My fave is always always always FLF, and there are some great deals this week!

Two Stops

My two must haves this weekend are from Stealthic and Riot.  The lovely hair I’ve got on is from Stealthic, of course, and comes in a basic pack of natural and colourful hues (there are LOADS to choose from) for just 50L.  Then, this fuzzy dress covered in flowers was super hard to resist (so I didn’t) from Riot.  There are three different textures you can apply via HUD and again, just 50L!  Usually the deals hang around all weekend, but I’d go now so you don’t miss out!

Boy did I ever take a ribbing from the girls in chat for my last post! They had all kinds of silly things to say about my silver shirt and I think in the end I wound up being a baked potato.🥔 So today, I put on something more manly and went out to chop wood.  Maybe someone will give me the googly eyes again. 👀

Manhood

You may have heard there’s a new event in town and it’s just for us guys! It’s called The Manhood Event and it just opened this week for the first time. There are 13 nice quality gifts there for men although two of them are unisex. You have to join the free group to pick up the gifts and I’m showing you two of them today.

The jacket and sweater comes with a full color HUD to change the color of the sweater but the jacket is this pretty shiny black especially in a PBR viewer. The facial hair comes in BOM for Evo X with a couple of different styles to choose from.

The Manhood Event is open until September 19th, so there’s plenty of time to scoot over there and pick up free gifts and do some shopping.  I think it’s going to be a monthly event which is exciting news for anyone trying to dress a male avatar.

Hello Darkness

Another gift I had picked up are these earrings.  Earrings ARE manly, and especially if they’re little human hearts with a sword stabbed through them!  I found them at Dark Agony, and there are other gifts to pick up there as well, for both men and women.

I Would Rather Wait For You

It’s the weekend, FabFree! I’m not really sure why I feel the need to announce that all the time. I’m sure you already know. But goodness I’m excited for a weekend and some SL time. I’ll wait here for something/someone exciting to turn up, and I’ll tell you about the great things that I’m wearing in the meantime. Spoiler: that includes just about everything I’ve got on.

The Hair

I was over at Stealthic and noticed a sign advertising this hair. It is just 50L on the marketplace for a complete pack with aaaall of the colors. When you click on the ad it says that this is a “MP Weekend Sale” so I’m not sure if the discounted price is just for this weekend or what. It’s older textures but they still look amazing. Purity is 50L on the marketplace here.

The Dress

My dress is from Ersch. But we need to back up a moment before we get to that. Ersch is one of those great groups that gives out free store credit every month as a group gift. In this case, it’s 250L of free credit that resets on the 25th of each month. I went to grab mine and fell quite enamored with this dress. It is Ersch‘s current Saturday Sale item and a steal at just 75L *and* I was able to use my group gift credit to purchase it which made it free! There are some nice collar options and sizes for:

Happy Friday, Fabulous Readers!  My dream for a weekend getaway is anywhere beachy, and since I can’t get to the shore in RL this holiday weekend, I headed there for my photo in SL.  Now, I know my heels aren’t the number one choice for beach attire, but since it’s a Second Life beach, why not?  My outfit today (including the shoes) is a free group gift.

Sweet Beach Roses

I picked up this cute floral micro mini as a free gift at AnaSTyle.  The Liv dress features delicate roses blooming across a white ribbed background, slender shoulder straps, and a curve-hugging fit.  I like the added touch of sparkles sprinkled throughout the design, which reminds me a bit of sequins.  The folder also includes the heels I’m wearing in my photo, which can fit standard, Maitreya and Slink feet.  To scoop up a copy of Liv for yourself, you need to be a member of the Teleport Hub Group, which costs 10L$.  It’s one of those groups that I joined long ago, and will never leave because many designers across the grid set out free gifts just for Teleport Hub members.

OK maybe relaxing in nature isn’t your idea of bold, but with how much we rush through each day, so much to do so little time, it seems as though being bold is doing the exact opposite. It’s Almost Fall, Yall…

A few days ago the Autumn Is Coming event & hunt began. You have lots of time to ramble around the sim checking out the sales booth and pick up all of the gifts provided there. The hunt/event runs until September 23rd. All of the prizes are free; look for little treasure chests and click on it to get the gift. The chests are mostly easy to find however a couple are tucked away somewhere in the booth. There are also other chests with a trivia question you must answer correctly to get the gift. (It wasn’t trivia I had answers to, lol).

I also went to the Uber event celebrating its’ Tenth Anniversary. You can find even more gifts at the event.

Leaf Peeping?

For those of you in the  northern climes those leaves are starting to turn vibrant colors. In the south the trees are still very green. So anyway, my whole point is I can enjoy autumn in SL instead. There are a LOT of gifts on this hunt. There are both autumn and Halloween related gifts.

My bohemian styled maxi dress is the hunt gift from Mystrie. It’s the In the Autumn Nights dress. It leans more to the spookier side but still quite lovely.
