Hey FabFree! It’s been a hot minute since I did a FabFree Designer Features post, but I’m back today with a feature on Vips Creations. Vips Creations specializes in women’s mesh clothing, and they have many elegant and beautiful designs to choose from.
FabFree Group Gift
The current FabFree group gift at Vips Creations is the Louissa outfit in silver and white. It includes a dress and shoes. So sometimes you just want to feel like a Goddess. Like you just came down to the ruins of the ancient world and have to power to make it all beautiful again. Sometimes you simply find a dress that makes you *feel* like a goddess. And sometimes, just sometimes…. that dress is free. And you do a mad happy dance cause now you feel like a freaking goddess and it didn’t even cost you anything! Oh Happy Weekend, FabFree! I hope you’re all having fun. I have a quick post for this lovely Saturday. I know I do not often post here on a Saturday, but it’s a pleasure to post on this much-needed relaxing weekend.
Third Life
So my post today is about having a “Third Life”. I am talking about the freebie group in Second Life- which is called “THIRD LIFE”. The first time I heard about this group was in the first couple weeks I joined SL. I was confused… I have a Second Life, and now I can have a third? My second one is fun so I can’t wait to live my third life too! In all silliness, though, I have always found the group name mysterious. However, I’ve been a dedicated member of the group for years now. The Third Life Group only costs 10 L to join, and they have countless other gifts around Second Life to collect. As you might have noticed by now, I am an eclectic, off-center, quirky kinda girl. The outfits I choose might not be the norm, or rather, the combinations I put together for outfits might not be the norm, but someone has to blog for the outcasts. Those of us who walk to the beat of our own drummer and don’t fit in with the mainstream.
In Second Life as in real life, I’m kind of a loner. I’m borderline hermit sometimes! Only those who take the time to get to know me, get to see the quirky sparkle I keep hidden from most of the world. I’m quite used to people looking at me like I am something that just dropped in from outer space that they aren’t quite sure if they approve of. (ok that might be over use of the word “quite”).
I’ve never joined the throngs of people who hang out at clubs, or have big families in sl, I’ve mostly wandered by myself and being the way I am, its been good most of the time. I’ve had those lonely moments we all get from time to time.
And until I became a part of fab free I’ve never had a group of friends in sl, oh sure I had a couple of short lived friends when I first started (2008!) but that was just for a couple of weeks because I worked as a dancer as a lot of us did when we started (and I was *terrible* at it and hated it! I’m horrible at being phony) and that’s where I had the friends.
Now with Fab Free, I have a wonderful circle of ladies that I am so proud and honored to call my friends and sisters. The awesome thing is, we are all sort of quirky and off center in our own ways and so we are all very accepting of one another. It’s a very happy place for my soul.
I know I went off on a bit of a tangent there, but this outfit was an odd mix and it just got me thinking. It’s an odd mix but I love the way it fits together. I’m also a girl who loves hats in both worlds, and I loved these boots. 😉 But I know, shush now Arielle, quit rambling and tell us about the freebies n such! ok ok!

It’s way too hot in Texas to stick around. Today, the temp on the car’s dashboard said it was 108 degrees! That’s Way. Too. Hot. Some I had to get away.Take a little trip… as it were. Luckily, it’s always nice on the Grid. I even found a gorgeous SIM that’s based on the Highlands of Scotland… where even in the Summer… it’s nice and cool.

I was also pleased to find a great free gift from V8 that is perfect for wandering the Highlands. This is the Roger Urban outfit and it’s free with your Third Life Group tag. To join the Thrid Life Group just click the poster and pay a small one time 10L and there you go. Now, when I say outfit… that’s the whole outfit. You get the sweater plus scarf, the trousers, the fedora and the sneakers. (There’s also a pair of sunglasses that I forgot to put on…) The mesh is a good solid build. I had no clipping issues and it moved well. The colors would be good for Fall or Winter. I have no idea how long this special will last so don’t delay.
An arctic blast found it’s way to my part of the world this week and I have been experiencing sub-zero temperatures for the past few days. I’ve done my best to stay inside, but there are times you just have to go out and brave the elements. I’m just glad my dog isn’t a fan of the cold either…

I wandered back to Lindy Modern & Retro after having stopped by the other day. Discovering all those 1L shoe hunts had me excited, and I was sure I could find a pair of shoes to match my new dress. I was right! The pretty pink pair of shoes you see in my picture includes fits for classic, Maitreya and Slink feet and are only 1L as part of the Summer Diaries Hunt.
