Hello again my FabFree readers! Did you miss me last week? I missed you, but don’t worry, I’m going to make up for my lack of a post last week with a super-duper, wicked-awesome, goodie-filled post today! Ok, maybe I overdid it with the ‘super-duper’, and ‘wicked-awesome’, but I do have a lot of goodies to show off. So let me get right into it.
I wanted to put together a look that would work for a more formal Halloween party, and I started with my shoes. These little beauties, called Sutra II, are the free October Facebook gift from Alaskametro. I was so excited to see the colour they came in, as I just love purple as a Halloween colour. What’s even better, they come with a HUD that lets you choose between 3 different shades of purple. I am wearing the version for SLink high feet, but there are also The Mesh Project, Maitreya, and Belezza versions, all in their prospective high versions. In case you have not ever taken advantage of the Alaskametro Facebook gifts, or just don’t remember what to do, let me tell you. You need to head over to the Alaskametro Facebook page, HERE (like it if you haven’t already), and click on the link for special promotions. The picture there will tell you the code you need to know. Then, inworld, head over to the Alaskametro store, and walk over to the gift poster. Say the code you got from the Facebook page, on channel 33, exactly as written (meaning in capital letters). So your chat bar should show /33 CODEHERE, with CODEHERE not being the actual code, of course. Make sense? Trust me, these shoes are worth the effort! You have until the end of the month to grab them up. 
Next up, my gorgeous dress. This is the Lavish Mesh dress in purple from Tiffany Designs, and it is their current Womenstuff group gift located at the ‘stuff Lounge. As stated in the name, this is a mesh dress, in all the standard sizes. Sure, looking at the lovely flowery print, with the sweet flower at the waist, one does not immediately say ‘Hey, that’s a great dress for Halloween!’, but the colour worked so nicely with my shoes, and of course the devil is in all the little added details for putting together a great costume. *grins* All you need to do to get this free gift, is join the Womenstuff group, for a small L$50 fee that is totally worth it for this dress alone, not to mention the multitudes of other gifts available.
OK, no formal party look is complete without some great jewelry. I picked up this statement making Bohemian Rhapsody necklace and earrings set at our very own FabFree Headquarters, and it is a free gift from D.D.M. Designs. These big bold pieces are the perfect complement to the simple lines of my dress and shoes, and it’s hard to beat free! Just a warning, there are actually 2 left earrings in this set, and no right earring. I have alerted the creator, but it is a simple fix by changing the attach point of one earring to the right ear, and then doing a few hocus pocus adjustments to get it sitting correctly.
OK, now for the piece that made my stunning formal look into a stunning masquerade formal look…my fabulous floral eye patch from the Bird Next Door Shop on the Marketplace. To be honest, when I decided that I needed something for my face, I went looking for the typical, pretty, delicate mask look, and believe me, there are lots of great ones to choose from. However, in my search on the Marketplace, this flower eye patch came up, and for only L$23. It was so different from everything else, and at such an affordable price, I thought I’d give it a try. Obviously…it was a winner! And, even though the listing says it is no mod, it is actually the resize script that is no mod, so you can adjust each individual piece to your heart’s content. I tinted a few of the glowy flexi pieces the same purple as the flowers to better match my dress.
