It’s October. During this month, every bump, creak, and thud you hear seems to make your mind race. All those late night horror movies on the TV don’t make it any better. Have you ever had one of those friends that wants to pull you away from the safety of your home to go out and do some real ghost hunting? Whether it be the old creepy haunted house, run down school, or abandoned hospital. I knew two such people, that during the month of October had to visit at least one haunted place. A few years back they actually dragged me along. To none other then an old abandoned hospital. As we walked around, nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me. Sure a few sounds, maybe a moan, a thud in the distance. Then they dared me to go down to the morgue all by myself.
I was younger and never backed down from a dare. Yes, now that sounds rather idiotic and stupid. Totally something out of one of those horror movies we all watch. This time it was for real, for me anyway. I headed down to the morgue, stopping to make sure the bandanna on my hair was tied tight enough, gotta keep that long then unruly hair outta my eyes. That way I wouldn’t mistake it for some type of ghost in the corner of my eye. I pushed my way through the doors and walked into the morgue, which was a bit cold. I pulled up my hood, from my smoke skull hoodie around my neck. I looked around, pieces from the ceiling scattered on the floor, a few of the body drawer doors open, and an old gurney against the back double doors. Then WHAM!!! One of the doors to the body drawers slams closed. Then a squeak, the gurney rolls back. I turn my head and there she is. I defensively put up a hand, leg, and scream. Yes…..yes I screamed. For there was a ghostly apparition of a teenage girl standing not just two feet away from me. There I was living a real life horror movie. To which I ran away from as fast as I could.

Hello there Fab Free’rs! Welcome back to the Fab Free blog. Once again I’ve found myself thinking “How did I miss these” this time about the group gifts I stumbled across at CHAIN. The CHAIN in-world group is just 50 lindens to join and there are currently 4 group gifts available. The simple yet dress Pru is wearing was their October group gift and is thankfully still available. It comes in a Maitreya Lara fit, and includes a color change hud with 6 of solid color options. I’m a sucker for classic black.

Hello hello Fab Free’rs! I’m not sure if I am excited or a little disappointed that the month is already half over and Halloween is a mere 2 weeks away. I genuinely enjoy this time of year, and I hate to see it fly by so quickly. That said, all the more reason to enjoy every minute that remains! Little Bones, Letis Tattoo, and Petite Mort have all set out gorgeous FREE group gifts recently. Without a shadow of doubt these gifts are among my favorite of the October gifts I’ve come across thus far. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. Starting from top to bottom, this pretty strait hairstyle is the most recent group gift at Little Bones. The Dion hair at Little Bones is a full fatpack of hair colors, and has some unique features. This simple yet elegant style also includes a hud that allows you to change the way the hair lays. Hello There Fab Free’rs, thanks for coming by. It’s my favorite month of the year, and I decided to get a little witch-y with my style because why not?! When else can you get away with an over-sized witch hat as an accessory? In all honesty, the moment I put on this October subscriber group gift from BYRNE, I knew I wanted to wear a hat with it. I didn’t plan on a witch hat at first, but I’m quite pleased with the way things came together. Speaking of October group gifts, these adorable heels are the current group gift at Empire. And of course I found an inexpensive lipstick by Stellar, that I couldn’t live without. I hope you like this spin on a classic witch look as much as I do! Starting with the gift from BYRNE, my photos really do not do this mid-length dress justice. I don’t think I could have picked a more darling pair of strapped heels to go with this dress. These lovely shoes are the October group gift at Empire. Once again, I love the slight change makeup layers allow.

Hey Fab Free! Is everyone ready for a spooktacular Halloween weekend? I know this girl is! I’ve picked out my costume for Halloween, now I have a cute look that is perfect for the season. Orange is always a good color for fall. I think this pumpkin colored sweater is super cute on. It’s just low-cut enough to give it some sass without being too showy. You’ll have to do a little hunting at Nerdy Girl to score this sweater for just 1 linden. The sweater is Nerdy Girl‘s Psycho Pumpkin Hunt prize. Recently Pink Acid sent out this gorgeous jewelry set in their VIP group. I think it’s perfect for dressing up any outfit, and the pale “pumpkin spice” tone of these pearls is beautiful next to the pumpkin orange of the sweater from Nerdy Girl.
