FabFree – Fabulously Free in SL

Simply Fabulous Free and Under L$75 Finds in Second Life – Since 2007

It’s Not Over!

Hello FabFree Folks,

After reading the enormous outpouring of supportive and kind comments regarding FabFree and it’s positive impact on the grid, Prudence, Julianna and myself were inspired to put our heads together and come to the conclusion that there is just no way we can put an end to such a caring community of people.  We have realized that there was a time before the complexity that Fabfree has grown into with multiple groups, a headquarters and a large designer listing that was still quite “fabulous”.

We have re-structured our management (again, try to keep up with us! lol) and will be staying open, but making some very big changes, turning back the clock a bit to make things more easily managed by our team of Volunteers.

*  Blog:  Our blog will remain open and active – continuing to feature free and under 75L offers.

*  Inworld Group:  We will keep the Fabulously Free in SL inworld group open and those with chat abilities will be able to continue chatting.  If you wish to request chat perms, please send a notecard to Prudence Rexroth.   Notices will only be used by the FabFree team to update the group on blog updates.

*  FabFree Headquarters:  Will be closed on October 31st.

*  Flickr Pool: Will remain open allowing photos containing items under 75L,  managed by Julianna Seriman.

Fabfree Designers,  We very much appreciate your role over the years in FabFree and will continue to support your shops as much as we can through blog posts, however we regret that we are unable to keep up with the modding of group notices and maintaining of the FabFree Headquarters gift rotation.  Notice permissions within the Fabulously Free in SL group will be suspended to the designer role as of October 31st.

We thank you all for your patience and sincerely apologize for any confusion or upset during our transition.

Looking forward to continuing our love of freebie sharing!

Sincerely and with squishy hugs, The FabFree Team

I am extremely pleased to hear this fantastic news! As one of the many SL residents who can’t afford to spend much RL $ in world, I assure you the blog is an incredibly valuable resource which would have been terribly missed. Your fantastic team of writers always shares high quality finds at low to no cost with a fun and informative flair. Without this blog, my inventory would be nearly empty and my avi would pretty much look like a noob (even after all these years on the grid). Thanks so much for finding a way to keep the Fab Free blog up and running!

  19. I am grateful for all of your hard work over the years, and that you have decided on a smaller presence to remain active. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that we are happy to retain this amazing group! There is no other web site, other than my friends list, that I check regularly besides FabFree. To all of you who have contributed, my deep and sincere thanks!
