When is that dratted bus going to get here? I’ve been waiting for ages, and still nothing. At least the bus stop is kinda cute, right? I’ve always wanted to wait for the bus in a massive strawberry. It was totally on my bucket list, so at least I can cross that one off! Ok, I’ll stop. Promise.

Happy Friday, Fabbies! I’m heading back to my roots of dark, gothy vibes. I’ve often ruminated on the fact that I started off my SL as Ms. Dark Cloud, swathing myself in black. It always makes me giggle a bit, since really – that is the antithesis of who I am. I’m the one who bursts into giggles at the mere mention of sausage (don’t ask), or tosses glitter about with wild abandon. Anyway, it just goes to show – you really can be exactly who you feel like being at any given time in Second Life. And I think that’s pretty great.

I put this look together with a few awesome freebies I picked up at SL19B. Now, we’ll be covering the event fairly extensively, as I know that not everyone is going to go to every single booth and pick up every gift and…gasp…unpack them. So, in the hopes you’ll see something you like, we’ll do a general smattering of lovely freegifts, and give you ideas of just what you can do with them. So…here’s my look:
Purples and lavenders always put me in a spiffing mood. You know, the kind of mood that makes me feel both relaxed and excited all at the same time. In this post, I am focusing on freebiesyou can find at Fantasy Faire 2021. I had to hunt hard to find these, as the event is massive- 22 sims in total! I will break down down some of free gifts I found at the Faire below.
The gorgeous owl mask is a free gift at Spyralle’s booth. Grab this little guy for 0L on the wall. This was a hard one to find, but it is so beautiful and intricate. What an amazing gift!
This beautiful hairstyle is a free gift at Firelight’s shop at the Faire. This hair is so cool, because it changes colour every minute to a different natural tone! There is also a free men’s hair gift in their booth!
The amazing shimmer on my body is a generous free gift from Ghoul. Just enter into their store at Valhalla and grab this gift in the middle of their display. This crystal shimmer is a materials applier that works on Legacy and Maitreya bodies only, as well as Lelutka Evolution heads. This applier can be used on Male and Female avatars.
Belle Epoque has a set of nails hidden in an object in their store at the Faire for free. Click the statue for the hint, and go hunt for it! The prize is a beautiful set of purple nails that work on Legacy and Maitreya bodies.
The Language of the Birds
Another way to hunt down some great deals at Fantasy Faire is to participate in their “Language of the Birds” hunt quest. Please read Juli’s post here to find out more details about how to play the Fantasy Faire Quest Hunt. By purchasing the quest HUD (it costs 250 L for the basic or 350L for the deluxe*), you are able to participate in the quest. The HUD can be purchased at Fantasy Faire Junction. If you solve the quest, you will receive a reward in the form of a bunch of gifts from various Fantasy Faire designers. The quest gift I am showing today is a set of beautiful floral horns made by EscalateD. These look like little floral branches that a little bird would stop to rest on!
The Quest hunt and the free gifts will be available until May 9th, the closing day of Fantasy Faire.

LSR currently has a 300L credit gift for all LSR group members. The group costs 99L to join. I bought this amazing dress I’ve had my eyes on for a while now. It’s called Yanikha Dress and it comes in 3 textured patterns. I purchased the dress in black and it was completely covered by the credit gift! The dress fits Legacy, Maitreya, Isis, Freya, and Hourglass. The 300L credit is only available until May 7th, so go get it quickly!

It feels a bit chilly out, doesn’t it? That slight pleasant nippiness to the air isn’t necessarily something to dislike, in fact it can be quite nice! To me, Fall is always a time of renewal, of beginnings, and of change. The trees reminding us all that letting go of the old really can be beautiful!
It’s the Kustom
Yay! It’s time again for my favourite event, Kustom9! I always find things I must have at this event, and this month is going to be even awesomer than usual since it’s their anniversary! 7 years old is certainly something to celebrate, and in the customary SL way – the giving of gifts – it is something I can really get behind. Every booth (or almost every!) has a gift for members of the free-to-join Kustom9 group. I picked up this fun sweater from Spirit (the sleeves are actually tied up behind my back…lol!) , which comes with an HUD that allows you to customize the colours of the sleeves and main panel, as well as this lovely pair of boots from Ison. The boots come with an HUD to change up the colours as well and they are sized for Freya, Legacy and Maitreya.

There have been so many lovely free builds recently inworld, that it’s giving me the itch to start decorating again. There’s something relaxing about letting your decorating itch run wild in SL. It can sometimes be fiddly editing things around the room, but in the end it’s so nice to have somewhere to call home inworld. And when you get sick of it, pick it all up and start over.
Hisa has a House!
Hisa are giving their group members this adorable little “English Garden” shed. It’s just so sweet and covered in riotous vines that I knew I had to have it right away. It’s the perfect spot for thinking, or maybe painting! Or maybe reading…or…perhaps just being. I’m contemplating the day in my own little world, and I’m sure you’ll be just as relaxed as I am when you get yours. Speaking of which, to get it, just join the Hisa group for 1L, then click on the vendor. How very sweet!
