Hello Fabulous Readers! Ripley and I dusted off his tracking harness today, and did some sleuthing in the Country Girl Hunt over at Brii Underground. There are ten prizes up for grabs in this event, and each costs just one little linden dollar. The boxes even include accessories such as hats and footwear.
A Country Girl at Heart
The Keli dress is a charming shade of blue, and includes the ribboned hat, dress, and boots shown in my picture. I love the white floral pattern sprinkled across the sleeveless frock, and the way it leaves my arms bare to soak up some sun. The bow tied at the waistline echoes the ribbon on the hat, and provides a visual contrast to the remainder of the dress. Blue, slouchy, high heeled boots, and thick, white socks round out the look, providing you with a complete ensemble from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes. Each of the ten hunt gifts is concealed in a small, brown, rearing horse. If you click the hunt display on the wall at Brii Underground, you will receive a note card with helpful hints for tracking down the prizes. Most of the time is spent cleaning, inspecting, training and drilling for the one percent of the time when all my skills and knowledge must come into action. When I’m “on the job” lives depend on me. People look to me to protect their property from fire damage. Some need me to lead them to safety from a burning structure. Others depend me to pull them from a wrecked vehicle. My favorite job is rescuing cats from trees. But all these jobs are important. I am a firefighter.

Happy weekend, fabulous readers! The spring air was so warm and inviting this morning that I felt inspired to visit the Butterfly Conservatory to check out the butterflies. The Butterfly Conservatory is beautiful, as well as educational; not only did I learn about many different species of butterflies, but I also picked up a few tips on what we can do to help save the bees.
To be honest, I learned way more than I ever needed to know about insects… including this guy, who stared me down while his fanny blinked like a lightbulb. We don’t have “lightning bugs” in my neck of the real world, but I do hope the real ones are a bit smaller. Thank goodness he couldn’t get out of his box! 😯

The butterflies weren’t the only ones spreading their wings this morning. Good morning Fabulouses! Don’t mind me, I’m just doing a little window shopping on my tablet while I wait for him to return with 5 zillion coffee pods so he never runs out again. Don’t tell him, but I packed the last one in my purse and took it to work on Friday. I meant to pick up more on the way home, but you know me… I’m distracted by shiny freebies allllll the time and Friday night was no exception.

I came across this gorgeous dress by {AnaMarkova} called Jett Harness/Chain Dress La Rose. It has a gorgeous all over peony print and is laced down the hips for a bit of a skin flash. It also comes with a body chain that can choose to wear with the dress… or on it’s own (winks). I have not worn it with the dress today, but it is indeed included.
