I’ve been practicing my witching skills lately. Amazing how I forgot the words to spells and incantations. Please don’t tell my coven. Oh wait! I am a solo witch because I couldn’t find a Cajun coven. So anyhoo, I was trying to conjure my broom (I forgot where I parked it). I thought I said the correct words. These two evil looking pumpkins showed up instead. Guess I’d best do a a lot of reading.

No, this isn’t a fall post. It’s still summer. It will be summer forever in SL. Forever! …But I guess this is kind of a fall post. I can’t help it, when designers make such lovely autumn themed things! I’ve got lots of great things to tell you about today, including a super cute group gift and some items from the cart sale!

I love cute little foot accessories like this. That way I can kind of sort of appear fully dressed, but still not be wearing shoes! Win-win. Also, they’re so pretty! I got the foot jewels that I’m wearing here as a free group gift from KC Couture. They come rigged for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink and with a HUD so they can be customized. There are LOTS of color options for the cords and tassels and then a handful of metallic tones for the chain. The KC group is only 25L to join and there is a wall in the store with a bunch of group gifts that are all really nice. I really should wear them more often, if only I could be bothered to wear shoes…

Okay fine, the bench is definitely fall…
I’m not much of a decor blogger so I’m not sure how much justice I’ve done this bench, but it’s really cute! It is another find at The Wash, this time from Tylar’s Treasures, and priced at just 10L for the cart sale. The pose that I’m using did not come with it, the only poses included are couples poses and since it’s just me I obviously couldn’t use those. There are brightly colored autumn leaves scattered about on the ground in front of it and on the sides and I just love the arbor across the top.
Great stuff, right? Totally worth embracing fall. ❤

Hello there, Fab Free! Once again, Astrid inspired me, this time by mentioning warm weather (another great idea, Astrid!). I, too, have been feeling the need to escape gray days, sweaters, and chilly temperatures. The Salt Water sim provided the perfect tranquil hideaway for Ripley and I. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon strolling on the beach, walking off those extra midnight margarita calories from Friday night (thank you, Love!). With nothing but gently crashing waves, the cries of far off seabirds, and tangy breezes, it was a welcome relief from the daily grind.
No Jacket Required
Grateful for the ideal climate and mild temperature, I happily slipped into Abril, a sleek, embroidered free lucky board prize from The Beautiful Ones. In my last post {HERE}, I showcased a gorgeous TBO gown, and mentioned all the goodies that are included with the 25L join fee for the group. The chance to win Abril in several different shades is one of those extra bonuses. The sienna version I am wearing today features an intricate embroidery pattern layered above a background that fades from a deep, reddish brown to a pale, creamy hue. Sleeveless and figure hugging, this frock is fit for a sophisticated night out, or a casual afternoon with friends, depending on how you accessorize your look. The prize package contains mesh in standard sizes (XXS, XS, S, M, L) and the coordinating alpha layer. By adjusting the alpha of my Maitreya Lara mesh body, I was able to wear the classic style just fine. After donning my new sheath-style dress, I turned around to see Ripley perched on my chair with the Mandala Marketplace shop brought up on my screen. Upon noticing my raised eyebrow, he gave me a sheepish grin, nudged the monitor, then jumped down so I could check out his latest find. The pupster struck gold (literally), at 70% off no less, with these Luck earrings in gold and brown. In a large, hoop style with a beautiful metal texture, and dangles, they matched the tone of my frock perfectly….all for only 57L! With my free dress and sale priced earrings, I splurged, and scooped up the coordinating Luck necklace for 70 percent off as well. The necklace has a resize option, which is handy because it comes in a unisex version, and was a bit large for my figure at first, but after a little tweaking, it worked well. I tossed my canine pal a few Ripley-snacks as I added my new baubles to my outfit, grabbed his leash and his favorite ball, then we journeyed over to the beach for a welcome, stress-free break.
