Time to Shimmer and Shine

Happy Sunday, Fabulous Readers!

Last week, when I returned to Indyra to copy the landmark for my blog post, Ripley plunked himself down next to a sign in the plaza just outside Indyra’s door and refused to budge.  He kept gazing at me with his dark chocolate eyes, looking at the sign, and back at me.  After one glance at the “Tie the Knot Hunt” sign, I realized my canine companion was pointing out another Fabulous Find to share with our wonderful readers.

We had to don our detective hats, but after some searching around, I spied the small ring box cleverly hidden in the Indyra store.  Although it took a bit of effort (and maybe a little help from a certain someone’s talented nose), the prize within the hunt box made my time invested well worthwhile.  Jessa, Indyra’s lovely Tie the Knot Hunt gift, is a strappy, cream-colored dress with a gold brocade bodice and an airy, glistening skirt.  It’s so feminine and light – just perfect for an evening out.  The present comes with standard-sized fitmesh for classic avatars as well as appliers for mesh bodies.  This free, wedding-themed hunt runs until October 15th, so you still have time to head over to Indyra and do some sleuthing of your own.  I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I accessorized with Fabria, a delicate platinum necklace and earring set from Rebel Hope Designs.  Nena Mesh High Heels from ILLI, which I found on The Marketplace for only 99L, completed my look.  I know this is a bit above 75 Lindens, but these simple slink heels come with a HUD that allows for endless color variations, so one pair is like having a closet full of heels for a small investment.

{Indyra} Grand Re-opening Group Gifts!

Free as a Dove

Not long ago, a reader IM’d me to say that The Free Dove had added quite a few new designers and items. The Free Dove is a store with the new resident in mind; everything in the store is free, and you can find just about anything a new resident might need. Of course, I’d been to The Free Dove before, but not in quite a while, so I thought I’d head over and see what was new. I was so pleased to find that there are indeed many new designers and items, including some who are probably on your list of favorites! I picked up this sexy leather leggings and jacket combo (includes belt and ruffled choker) by Indyra Originals, and a few other items that I’ll probably show you later. 🙂

I got a notice this morning that {{BSD Design Studios}} had opened up their VIP group for free membership for a short time, so I stopped by and joined, and picked up the May group gift: this gorgeous pair of grey croco shoes. They come with a skin/nail HUD which is pretty easy to use. It was not specified in the message as to how long the group would be free to join, but I believe it will be at least until the end of the week. Don’t delay though; they offer great group gifts, and now’s the time to get in for free! Oh, and while I was there, I picked up this red croco bag, which is a free gift for AVENUE Magazine Readers (free to join).

My skin is called Emilia, and is another that was in the box I told you about last week for new Cupcakes subscribers. Emilia comes with 10 different lipsticks, 4 types of cleavage, and 2 pairs of eyes. Oh, and you can pick up this scrumptious hair by D!va at this month’s round of Collabor88. Hunting For Dolls

The Momiji Sim Hunt runs from May 7th – May 28th, 2012 and was a bit different than the “usual hunt”!  For the next eight days, you can visit the Momiji sim and in and around the shops you will find 11 Momiji dolls.  You wear  them, and click on them.  One of those dolls will contain a LM to a secret location with tons of free gifts.  I have in this blog post three photos of items from the gift house, but there are still many more!

The skin I am wearing is Modish’s Pupidz Kiss Sunkiss Red/Orange which is one of the gifts you will find at the house.  Worn above is the Lavandasquare Swimsuit, Lavandachick Asian Bandana and Lavandasquare Doll Earrings.

Below I am displaying the Indyra Originals Casuals:Cerise – Honeysuckle dress, ASO! Hair Elastic (on wrist),  and MDL Tubble Gum, which also comes with bubble gum (animated blowing bubbles!).  The bag I am holding below is the Lavandasquare Baggage.

I’m Seeing Spots

 

Bubblez Designs has a fun Polka Outfit as their Diamond Is Mine Hunt 3 gift!  The gift includes the dress you see above, as well as the matching hat and scarf.  There is also a matching men’s outfit with accessories included in the gift which Carson posted previously here.  The most excellent handbag (that I totally wish I owned in RL) is from Indyra Originals and is also in the DIMH3.  I am probably breaking all sorts of fashion rules wearing white shoes after labour day, but I had to match my purse!!  I picked these sexy heels up at the Turkey Box Hunt at Pink Label for 10L.  The Turkey Box Hunt runs until Friday, December 2nd.

The Old Costa Rica

Last night my SO and I walked all over the Old Costa Rica sim and found lots of goodies to show you, but first off I must tell you all of these poses are from Diesel Works.  The naughty Desire pose is a free gift at Diesel Works, so be sure to pick it up.  I plan on taking a few more revealing pictures with this pose, but you guys can’t see them.

Back to Old Costa Rica… there are gifts in nearly every store so walk around and explore!  Here are some of the gifts we found.  At Shiki there is a black check dress for the ladies and a black plaid button shirt for men.

Chantkare also has gifts for men and women with the Khaki Romper and Linen Knit Sweater.

There’s a fun red Spring dress at Designing Nicky Ree and it matches perfectly with the snakeskin Catalan clutch from Indyra Originals.

BOOM has black hot pants and a censored board as a gift at the Old Costa Rica sim.  Glitz it up a bit with the Jade Beads jewelry set from RH Engel Jewelry.  The Fan hair is a gift from Orage Creations.
