Since I was feeling all punkish, I figured my hair should get steamed too. I went through my hair collection and figured I’d just pop on some goggles and call it good. Then I thought, “Check the Marketplace?” And I scored with this great monocle and top hat hair style from EMO-tions (Marketplace) for only five little Lindens; “Mono.” It is an older building style but you do get the full fatpack. Plus, each piece of the style is wearable separately. So if the hair doesn’t tickle you, you can wear just the monocle or just the hat.

I stopped by 1 Hundred the other day and was pleasantly surprised at all the available gifts. I wanted to show them all to you! But in the end I finally decided on this free little black lingerie number that shows off all the curves and is aptly called “Curvy Bitch Undies”. It comes in system layers as well as universal omega appliers (I just love applier clothing) and is a great sexy little number. It is the current free gift under the Maitreya Gifts, Sales & News Group.
I did have to do some playing to get it work, but I did the playing so you won’t have to! At first I was a little frustrated, as I thought that the underwear band wasn’t working. Never fear! Apply the underwear as “underwear” then apply the underwear also as a “bra” again as “underwear”. Then put on the bra applier and apply it as a “clothing” top. Voila! Your lingerie will show up properly.

It’s been a pretty busy couple of days for me out in the real world (the kind that leaves you feeling as if you’ve been trampled on by a small herd of elephants). While all of this stampeding activity is far from over I thought I’d take advantage of a lucky little lull to sneak onto SL for some much-needed rest and relaxation. Seeing how it’s St Patrick’s Day, a green outfit was in order and happily enough Baby Monkey’s new free group gift, Else, was just the dress for this occasion. This quarter sleeved, collared shirt dress has a chic retro vibe to it that’s accentuated by the pretty bowed belt at its waist. The cherry blossom print of the Else dress not only adds a dash of sweetness to the outfit but a lovely contrasting white as well. What I adore most about this new group gift, however, is its versatility. Speaking of eye-catching colors, the Aishas set from Legendarie certainly fits the bill very well. These lovely fuschia heels and matching clutch bag are a free gift for everyone, meaning that you don’t have to use up group slots or tap any sub-o machines to get your hands on them. There was no way I could pass up on these flirty strappy slingbacks (only made for Slink high feet, however) and the fact that there’s a matching clutch thrown into the mix just sweetens up the pot. There are two different versions of the clutch bag included in the gift package, one worn on your avatar’s hand and the other worn higher. You’re able to move, rotate and stretch the clutch and permissions are set to copy so do make backups before editing. I’m not sure how long this pretty gift will be out for so get it ASAP. Legendarie is a generous store that set out free gifts fairly regularly so I would recommend putting it on your ‘must watch’ list. Though there’s a 99L group join fee there are tons of past gifts to pick up at the store.

There are so many great free gifts by awesome designers and I was really excited to discover that there’s not one but two hairstyles that you can snap up at the event at no cost at all. The Ullrika hairstyle from EMO-tions is a great messy updo that allows you to just toe the line when looking for something elegant by not too formal. I love visiting exotic locales… and this dress by LaVian & Co. [SamJones] with its toucan on the hem inspired me to seek out something a little more unusual. What I ended up discovering was a tiki treehouse tea house… forest and waterfall included. It’s a pretty fantastic set up and area. You may want to check it out some day if you have some wandering hours free in Second Life.

If you are in the mood for some roleplaying this weekend here in Second Life, I may have found your new go-to costume. This is “Queen of Hearts” from MoonliteCat Creations and it’s the 1L prize for the Nightmares and Fairy Tales Hunt. The top, with the attached arm bracers and collar, and the skirt are separate pieces and both come in the standard Mesh sizes – XS-XL. There are three alpha layers included: one for the top, one for the skirt and one for both pieces. I just love it when designers make a multi – piece outfit so darn versatile!
It’s Friday Fab Free’rs and I couldn’t be happier! Though the week went by quickly, for me anyway, it was still quite a week. Thankfully I have my excursions in Second Life to relax and enjoy some “me” time. While on said excursions in the world of SL, I came across the Sanarae event, and the many Lucky Boards there. As mentioned in my previous post, the free-to-join Sanarae group is required for the Lucky Boards. This adorably flirty dress from a shop called Sorbet is one of the many lucky board gifts at Sanarae.
I love love love the rock-a-billy pinup look to this dress! I really can’t say anything negative about this fully mesh dress. The colors are great, and I really like the flare of the skirt. This dress by Sorbet is honestly my personal favorite of the FREE Lucky Board prizes at Sanarae.
To emphasize the rock-a-billy part of this pinup look, I picked up the April group gift from EMO-tions. This retro pony with bandanna and rolled bangs is just too perfect.
