Here is a close up of the Pink Fuel skin that is sooo cute and the BC322 hair that is just so fun! Khalania showed you this the other day but I couldnt resist making it part of this look. I have always loved their hair ever since finding them through the first Crazy Ass Hair Hunt over a year ago.. They come up with some of the most interesting styles. Prayers and love for Japan

The Pacific Relief Fundraiser is open as of today and runs for one month. Over 400 designers have come together to offer items with proceeds going to Americare to help the people of Japan.

Pacific Relief Fundraiser

A massive earthquake, the largest in living memory and the seventh largest recorded in history, struck the east coast of Japan on Friday March 11th. This in turn caused a tsunami that was 7 meters high which swept through towns causing utter devestation and destruction in its path. Whole towns were flattened leaving nothing but rubble behind. More than 2000 people have died at the last count and thousands are injured and are left without homes. Thousands of people are still left unaccounted for and could be trapped waiting desperately for help, many fear the worst. People are without electricty and clean water.. the devestation is unbelievable.

As a whole world watches in disbelief and heartbreak as we see the scenes unfold, we are all still reeling from the earthquake that left Christchurch in pieces not even a month ago and the floods that ran through Australia a little while before that. We are barely through the first quarter of 2011 and so much has happened already.

Second Life is a huge global community and whenever there has been a disaster that has happened in the world, people have banded together in the spirit of generousity and human kindness and have created such amazing fundraising events that really do make a difference.. Within hours of the news of the earthquake and tsunami there was a disaster fundraiser being organised. Within 2 days over 240 designers had pledged to donate items to The Pacific Relief Fundraiser that will begin on March 16th .

PLEASE NOTE.. Only designers, organisers and bloggers are able to enter the venue at the moment but it will be opened to the public on March 16th.

There are a few designers that have put out their Pacific Relief donation items at their store right now to start the ball rolling with all proceeds going to Americares. Some designers are donating any proceeds from the sales at their store to the Red Cross.

Fashion For Life 2011

As promised here are some items from the Fashion For Life Event that is going on right now to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. It starts at 12 noon SLT, today 12th March. Fashion For Life – 12th March – 22nd March 2011

This is an announcement and will be quite long but please do read it ❤ thank you

Fashion for Life runs March 12-22, 2011.  There are 9 sims and over 190 stores with the goal to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

I have had my life touched by cancer both through family and friends over the years and recently I have had my own terrifying brush with it on a personal level. A visit to the Doctor with the possiblity of being told that I might have cancer has been one of the most frightening experiences of my life. Thankfully I was clear.. and believe me it gives the air you breathe a fresher feeling the next time you breathe in and realise just how lucky you are to be alive. For those who havent been so fortunate to be given the all clear, the donations that these events and others raise, go towards funding research so that one day they might be able to visit their Doctor and be told that they are in remission or are infact all clear.. and then so that one day, we can cure it all together.

This year’s theme is “Beyond Black and White,” embodying the spirit of cancer survivors everywhere as they find hope rising out of the dark diagnosis of cancer. Each of the nine sims have been decorated in the spirit of this theme which makes it even more striking to wander around. Everything is beautifully arranged and the organisers have really taken lag into account for example, by making sure that textures used are below 512 x 512 to reduce loading times among other things. The sims themselves will also be restarted every day. Lets help others to enjoy this event by going as lag friendly as possible.. that means reducing the prims you wear and removing unnecessary HUD’s and even AO’s if your ego can stand wandering around a little like a duck.. hey its for a good cause!

Here is a list of sims and the stores within each one.. there is a main gatcha area within each sim where some of the designers have put items into donation gatchas for you to play. All proceeds of the gatchs will go to Fashion For Life! The items have been asked to be made transferable so you can swap with your friends! There is also a hunt going on with the prizes costing from 10L to 100L so be sure to hunt around if you can. The hunt item is a little box that is white with the purple, blue and pink American Cancer Society and Fashion For Life logo on it.

So be aware it will be laggy.. be prepared for not being able to get in immediately. I will be blogging items from the event over the next week, both full price donation items and gatcha/hunt items. This is an amazing cause to be involved in and we can all help by making the smallest donation. Please please please go and visit if you can over the next 10 days and spread the word. We all need to fight so one day we WILL beat cancer once and for all.

Its time for the TWISTED HUNT again! Running until 31st March, the evilest hunt as returned for its Spring edition and this time its theme is Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven”! Moolto Sisters Hunt

The Moolto Sisters Hunt is going on right now and runs until 31st March. This is an interesting hunt as there is a special way you have to do things to be able to claim your prize. Be sure to follow the instructions below or else you won’t get the prizes.

1. You will need to wear special glasses to be able to find the prizes, You can get your glasses HERE. The should come inside the Hunt Box so you will need to open that. As soon as you get them, wear them!
