Still Running

I’m still in my running around the grid mode. I get a LOT of notices about events, hunts, and gifts. This run started with a store hunt prize and quickly evolved into other items I’ve gotten at events and advent calendars. Once I started putting the look together I couldn’t resist adding a few of those.

The Hunt

The HoHo hunt is happening at InStyle. You’re looking for little Christmas socks/stockings that are scattered around the store. Each piece is $25L. The HoHo dress has four parts: hat, dress, stockings with panties, and boots. It comes in this lovely blue shade. I wore it the other night while hosting in SL and got a number of compliments.

Head On Over to the Shop & Hop

My brain has been singing that to the tune of “Down at the Twist and Shout”. We still have time to get through all of the sims for the Holiday Shop & Hop. You will find all manner of wonderful gifts there. One of those is a lovely skin gift by Alaska Metro you can pick up for free. The Angel skin comes in three packages to pick up with light, medium, and dark skin tones. Most are BOM and worked perfectly on my LaraX body & Lelutka Evox head. (P.S. I am still awaiting the delivery of the newest Lelutka gift.) You can find out all you need to know in Aline’s post. Love My Groups

Don’t ya love the advent calendars this time of year? It’s a chance to refresh your look and receive interesting gifts. I’m highlighting a couple of my groups again. Synnergy has their Advent Calendar out with a new free gift every day. All of the previous days’ gifts are also available. Two of the latest gifts I got are the Synergy Tavis Pose set #53 and the Saanichton Tree Farm {360} Backdrop. The Synnergy group is free to join.

The Advent calendar at Tutti Belli brought me the free Advent nails gift #2 and the lipstick advent calendar (evox) gift 08. You’ll find all past days’ gifts are still available. You will need to join the group at a cost of $99L.

One Last Trip to Make Today

The 7th Christmas Wonderland event is open until December 26th. On my jaunt through the event I picked up a pretty set of eye shadows by Moon Avenue. Isis is a set of eight pretty BOM shades for EvoX heads. And they are free.

Santa Baby

The December round at Anthem is one of the things I look forward to every year. There are two huge Christmas trees on either side of you when you land, and underneath of each is a mountain of gifts! This year each thing that I clicked on cost 25-50L. There are no demos but pretty much each gift has a picture on top of what’s inside, and what’s a Christmas gift without a bit of a surprise? Besides they’re from all of the great creators at Anthem so there’s not really much to worry about.

I hand curated my look to include a little black dress, cute festive necklace, and amazing creepy little finger puppets. I couldn’t really have asked for much more. The items that I’m showing from under the tree at Anthem are:

I’ve been told many times that I am wearing too little clothing for winter sims (I care not a lick), but today’s outfit will have those who fear for the health of my avatar silent.  I’ve got a jacket!  I’ve got boots!  The bow keeps a section of my head warm!  My goodness, what is the world coming to?  Anyway, you can grab this pretty, festive and wintry outfit over at Hilly Haalan – it’s their latest group gift, and it is super cute.  To get it, join the group for 25L and click on the board which is right by the landing point.

As Mentioned…

I really love macarons.  They’re so pretty and so delicate and delicious (I always love the original ones by Laduree – they also come in such pretty boxes!).  When I see them in SL, I always grab them, doesn’t matter how many are in my inventory already.  You can imagine my delight when I saw this month’s free group gift at Equal10 – a delightful handheld set from Movement (see the ad below) which includes this little Santa-inspired macaron.  Join the group for free, click on the vendor (it looks like a video game) and all yours.  This round of Equal10 is running until January 5th!

Look Around, Look Around

Buckle up, we’re going all over the place today. I’m feeling Jolly AF and there’s just no time to waste! Christmas is in less than two weeks, but there’s an enormous snowstorm coming tomorrow so I’m going nowhere. Yes, there are things that I had planned to do, but now I plan on being snowed in and that is a much cozier plan in my opinion.

Yes, I said it, I’m jolly AF. There’s a new event that started today, called TSS Unwrapped. The idea is that it’s a bunch of your favorite The Saturday Sale creators offering affordable transfer items for gift giving. But I Scrooged up this mug all for myself and I regret nothing. I got it for 59L at ChicChica and it just looks so jolly and yummy. Whether you get it for yourself or as a gift, it should certainly be on your shopping list. This is an instore event so you’ll go to each store to check out their item, and the whole thing lasts until December 26.

Can’t Resist

It’s Friday so obviously that means that I couldn’t resist some FLF shopping, and also I can never resist great hair so here we are. The cute do I’m wearing here is by Wasabi and it’s 50L for this weekend’s Fifty Linden Fridays sale. The one purchase gets you bunches of HUDs for many sizes and colors.

And last but not least, I’m showing off a free Advent gift. I have barely done any Advent Calendars this month, which makes sense because I have barely been on SL this month, but today WellMade had the exact dress I needed for the look I was going for. How great is this dress? It is today’s free Advent calendar gift at WellMade. The Time is Here: LeLutka Announces their Gift Heads!

As always, it’s the most wonderful time of the year in SL!

I’m continuing to marvel at the generosity of designers in Second Life.  The most popular brand of heads – Lelutka – are continuing their tradition of giving out free mesh heads over the holidays.  This originated back in 2020 when the pandemic was in full swing, and they have been doing so ever since.

This year the affair is a bit quieter than in the past – but nevertheless, I am delighted with the fact that we are getting one free male head and free female head.  Anyone who has bought something from Lelutka in the past or is in their customer database will find these heads nestled in the redelivery terminal of the store under the “gifted to you” section.  Please see the image below for where this is located on the redelivery web page.

UPDATE:  Porta had placed a redelivery HUD at the FabFree Info Hub – but Lelutka has asked us to remove it due to safety reasons (some people are just not as nice as we FabFreer’s are!) head over to Lelutka to get your redelivery, or look in your inventory to see if you already have the HUD in there! ( I did!)

Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

Hey Fabs!

I guess I’m writing a quick post for you today because I logged on to post my blog to find I hadn’t written it! LOL  Such a Beachy thing to do.  I was so exited for this hunt and to blog this adorable dress, that I took my picture right away and forgot the words. 😉

So there’s a Christmas Hunt at littlefox. and it’s totally free.  You have to join the free group to participate, but then you can hunt down the 8 easy to find gold ornaments hidden around the store.  I had my eye on this green dress, but I certainly hunted them all.  You can see all the hunt items in the graphic below (click through to FLICKR if you want to make it bigger.
