I need a weekend from my weekend…

So let me just tell you, it’s been one of “those” sort of weekends. Nothing has gone right, and as much as I adore the weekend, for now, I’m kinda glad it’s nearly over. So this post is definitely an escape from anything stressful and un-fun! I wanted to feel playful, casual and cute. I think I’ve accomplished that with a few really great finds. Though this isn’t a color palate I would normally wear, I have to admit I really do enjoy this very cute casual look. I feel like I need to have some girlfriends over so we can paint our nails, or just jump on the bed and laugh together!

60L Weekends @ PurpleMoon Creations

Yup…  you caught me…  I have been shopping!  As much as I love finding a good freebie, a sweet deal is a good thing in  my eyes too.  I picked up a few things this weekend and I thought I’d share them with you too in case you were interested!  I found the Dita Dress at PurpleMoon Creations set out in a few colours, priced at 60L for The 60L Weekend Sale.  I purchased, the black but I might go back and snag the red too!  They also include the Rombo Earring set with the dress.  Not a bad deal if I do say so myself!

The Al Vulo Ginevra [Irish – Sunkissed] skin I am in today can be found at TDRF for 70L and has been previously shown by Tiana (here), and then Caresia (here), but I was so surprised at how completely different it looked on both of them, and each were gorgeous in it, that I went and picked it up myself too out of curiousity!  It’s amazing how one skin can look completely different on another shape.  This time the pack at TDRF didn’t include blonde brows, but it gave me a chance to show off my new Brynn hair, which is a smoking hot new release at TRUTH Hair this weekend!  Hmmm  I wonder if this skin is available at the Mainstore with blonde?!? 😉

These cool hand tattoos are the latest group at Izzie’s!  They are made for the Slink Enhanced Avatar mesh hands and come in smile, meow and rose variations.  It’s a little tricky getting one style on one hand, and one on the other, but there is an instructions notecard included with very clear instructions.  The group is 250L to join and Izzie is always generous with her group gifts!

I love shopping on Marketplace. I can while away hours just searching for random things and I have found some of the best things on there! Some stores are Marketplace only, meaning they don’t have an in world presence. It can be quite expensive to buy and rent land when you want to start a store in SL and so Marketplace allows people to sell without having to have an in world presence.

While doing some random searching the other day I came across a store called Mimosa! I wore a pair of shorts from there in this post a few days ago.. but there are lots more low priced items to choose from, so I decided to put together a few outfits to show you some of what you can find.

I’m an old-fashioned girl at heart. And yes, even a bit nostalgic at times. I love old-school Hollywood glitz and glamour, so you can bet that I’m loving the current round of Collabor88, where this month’s theme is “Raw Nostalgia.” Simple, yet complicated, but oh so romantic. 

I had an “instant crush” on this dress from *{Junbug}* as soon as I saw it. As always, the textures are amazing, and the way the dress drapes across the body is so sensual. And if you think the front is gorgeous, you should see the booty (what I wouldn’t give for my RL booty to look that good)!  Available in 7 colors, this dress can be yours at the discounted price of 188L at Collabor88.

Ok, ok, I know that wasn’t free. But what you can find for free is this lovely skin from ::Bite&Claw::. Look for a small gift box near the front door of the store. Oh, and there’s a men’s skin included in the box. Also free is this jewelry set from Beloved, which includes a pretty necklace and earrings. I know you can’t see my earrings (sorry!), but they look like a dangly version of the necklace. And they’re free… I mentioned that, right?

Caresia’s Photo Challenge Entry #3 – Then and Now

Well, in reviewing my pictures from over the years I came to the happy conclusion that the longer you spend in SL, the better you look.  At least to yourself.  I started Second Life 6 years ago on my first avatar and I was going to use the picture from my very first day…. and then I decided I would just show you Care’s first day 3 1/2 years ago and what she looks like today.

May I say that Second Life is ahead of its time…  *laughs*  I can’t wait to see everyone’s Then and Now pictures.
