Get Some Swag at Swank

It’s mid-week Fab Free, we’re a little more than half way to the weekend! I bet you can guess how I like to celebrate? That’s right, shopping! In the virtual sea of events happening in Second Life right now, I decided to spend a little time at the Swank Event. This event has a fun French theme for September, and each of the vendors has out a FREE gift just for stopping by. Some of the gifts require the Swank group tag, but not to worry, the group is FREE to join. This event is big enough to have a little something for everyone but not so big that it’s overwhelming.

While I picked up several of the gifts, this gorgeous outfit by LaVain & Co. is my favorite. This fully mesh outfit includes the pretty floral tank top with its daring neckline and the matching black pants. Each piece can be worn separately as well as together. I also snagged this cute little clutch by Vanessa. I’ve discovered that my real life purse obsession has started to transfer over into Second Life, and I was glad to add this one to my collection.

Playing in Daisy’s Closet

I know I have said this before, but seriously, if you have not been to The Cart Sale at The Wash yet, you need to go! There are more designers participating than I can begin to count and everything I’ve seen has been pretty awesome. There’s genuinely something for everyone. Today I picked up a few things from the Daisy’s Closet cart and was glad I did!
Growing up I always wanted a best friend or a sister that wore the same size clothing as I do, so I could raid her closet! That idea is exactly what came to mind with the shop name “Daisy’s Closet”. I felt like I was looking through cute clothing in a friend’s closet. There are several cute things all at 1o lindens on the Daisy’s Closet cart, including this adorable sleeveless top and capri pants set, so you’re sure to find something you like. This fun casual outfit comes with regular system layers and includes an “all in one” hud that has appliers for Slink, Maitreya, and Omega compatible bodies.

It’s Cos-play time! One thing I never tire of, even as an adult, is playing dress-up. Maybe that’s why I enjoy blogging so much. I get to play dress up regularly. Recently I came across this super cute Sailor Moon inspired outfit from Milk Tea. The shorts and top set is the Crazy for Kawaii Hunt gift at Milk Tea, and you can hunt it down and claim it for just one linden. This dollarbie hunt prize comes in system layers and includes omega appliers, a Lolas applier, a Belleza applier, and a “Combo” applier. Needless to say, it’s got quite a few options! To add to this playful outfit I found a cute little compact on the Marketplace. This crescent moon shaped compact is by Ity and is FREE on the Marketplace. Next, the moment I saw the FREE gift from ZOZ at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair, I had to have it for this outfit! The nail palate gift from ZOZ comes with a pretty array of slick blue polishes. Now all I need is a good convention to go to, and I’ll be set! ** My sincere apologies Fab Free’rs, I made a mistake on the Nail Appliers from ZOZ. Gypsy Summer

Hello Fab Free’rs! I’m so glad it’s Friday, or as my friend likes to say Fri-Yay! I’m really just going to make this post as short and sweet as possible. I picked up this so so so cute and sexy top for FREE at American Bazaar just by joining the AB group and wearing my group tag. Not to worry the group is FREE to join. There’s also a cool yellow jacket out for the men. This top is fully mesh and it’s every bit as cute on as it looks. This gift is the July Group Gift at AB, so hopefully today is not the last day to get it, but it could be gone at Midnight tonight. Don’t wait on this one! Next, I picked up this dazzling necklace from a group-only Lucky Letter board at Tantalum. Like the AB group, the Tantalum group is FREE to join. I was really impressed when I put the necklace on and realized it’s equipped with a touch-menu that gives you a ton of customization options. There’s a re-sizer for fitting, color change options for the gems and the metal bits, also you can adjust the glow and the full bright settings to your taste. I turned the glow and brightness off completely.  There are several Lucky Letter boards with lots of jewelry and accessories at Tantalum, as well as a group gift or two.

Time To Relax

Some of my favorite moments in life are when I get to have quiet time with nothing to do and nowhere to be. This new group gift towel wrap from Legal Insanity made me want to run a nice hot bath and relax with a great book! This “towel dress” is a FREE gift for Legal Insanity group members. The Legal Insanity group is FREE to join. I kinda like the idea of somehow making this cute mesh wrap part of an outfit but I just didn’t pull it off. I could also see wearing it over your swimwear as a cover-up. The cute pattern and vibrant colors would be great for the pool or the beach.
