Which Way to the Farmer’s Market?

Happy weekend everyone! It is absolutely gorgeous in my neck of the woods, and I hope you all can say the same thing. The outfit I have for you in this post would be so perfect for the weather I am having, it makes me think of wandering up and down isles of an outdoor farmer’s market in a big city, with the sun shining brightly and the smell of kettle popcorn being popped (or some other delicious smelling food being prepared for the crowds) OK…enough of that kind of talk, my mouth is starting to water, let me tell you about what I am wearing 🙂

I shall start with my bright and cheery skirt! I adore this skirt, and lucky for all of you, you can get it for free and adore it like me! The ::FAC:: Joni Maxi Skirt and Belt is the July group gift from FA Creations. The skirt is mesh, in the standard sizes, and the belt is resizable. I just love the gems hanging off of the belt, what a great little touch. The group is free to join, and they put out a fabulous gift every month, so it is well worth the group spot.

Next up is my stylish purse, from Loordes of London. It is one of the current free gifts available at the FabFree Headquarters, and I just love the colour and pattern of the fabric. The Loordes of London-La Boheme Bag-Uniques is my kind of purse, and that’s saying something, as I do not wear many purses here in SL. Don’t wait too long to head over to FabFree HQ if you want this, as the gifts available are always changing, and you just don’t know how long something will be there!

Last of my things to tell you about, but definitely not least, is the :*:CPD:*: Dryad Fetish Necklace. This lovely piece is the free hunt prize from Chaos, Panic, and Disorder! for the Medieval Fantasy Hunt 12, that runs until July 31 and has a theme of Spirits of Nature. There is both a female and male version available, hidden in separate places. You are looking for an ivy wreath with a dragonfly in the center, and to help you out, hints have been provided:
Women: “Spirit of nature? How about the Goddess of Nature?'”
Male: “Cube, cookie, bowl, loaf, packet… they say it’s not good for you.” Make sure you take a good look around, as there are a few other hunts happening at the store, and the other prizes are just as nice 🙂

Why yes, I am wearing a giant potion syringe on my back. You just never know when a you’ll need to inject someone very large with a potion. Oh, and it drips, so watch out.

Serena sent me out to pick up a couple of gifts from the Sinister Steampunk Hunt 3: Mysteries of the Unknown. First is this awesome, unisex Mad Alchemist outfit by Brain Circuit Inc. It includes the hat, coat, pants (under the coat), gadget belt, and giant potion syringe (there are some smaller pieces for the ladies). My electrifying gloves are from Chaos, Panic, & Disorder, and are really quite amazing. I poked myself in the eye with them several times, but thank goodness this is SL and I’m fine. My skin is the men’s group gift from Story Leaf. Serena showed the ladies gift a few days ago. There are several scars, so I must have sliced my face with these babies a few times, too. Alchemy is not for the faint of heart.

The Sinister Steampunk Hunt 3 runs until August 31st, and all prizes are free.

The Case of Praying Mary – Part 1

“Why can’t I get her voice out of my head…her stories…I’m losing my mind”

It’s Praying Mary, her ghost haunts me ever since I learned about her while on the latest hunt from Madpea. I started at Hoshi Island and bought the HUD for a small fee of 10L and began my investigation. I followed in her footsteps and found where she murdered countless men and always left her signature weapon behind, a cross. I was terrified, but in the end I had found them all and discovered her dark secret leading to great rewards! Remember you must be brave and survive to the end if you want to earn any of these prizes. The hunt runs until November 4th.

Above you will see me sitting in the comfortable “Gloomy Sunday” accent chair from Senzafine which includes 5 poses. Next to me is the charming Blue Charlotte Cabinet from LISP which includes the books and two candles. The Praying Mary dagger in my hand is from <Southpaw> and works with Spellfire and DCS systems.

From +sanctuaire+ is the “Along Comes Mary House” and is made with partial mesh. This cozy abandoned home features working windows and doors, mesh radiators, and faded wallpaper with shadows of old hangings. It is 129 prims and also has a secret hiding space with a surprise inside for those who find it.

“I’m a murderer…I must kill! Carry out Mary’s killing spree from beyond the grave!”

Oh my did I do that? From Michigan’s Shack comes Praying Mary’s Bed complete with the dead corpse. It has 3 animations inside that play when you lay down on the bed. My bloody outfit is from 22769 and includes the mesh blood drained slip on top and mesh pants with blood stains. The Bloody Mary Fortune Mirror behind the bed comes from Impish and on command Mary will appear from a bloody haze and read your fortune.

SnUGGly Boots For A Winter Day

This is what it looked like when I got up this morning… just snow and fog…  I miss summer already!  Anyways with all of this snow, I felt like some warm boots today…

Make sure you give the midnight mania boards at SAKIDE a slap!  If you lock them down, you will be gifted with the Ribbed Tee-Shirt Dress in Wine and the Ugg Snow Boots in Black.  The dress comes with a few different modesty (or not so modest lol) layers for the top.  This would look great with a pair of jeans or leggings too.
