Best Dressed Chickens In Town

Hey hey Fabs!

Aline looked so bright and shiny in her post about The Snowbound Hunt HERE, and I think that’s because she lives where there’s a real winter and wanted to be bright.  Meanwhile, one time I went to Toronto in the winter and wore color, I stood out like a sore thumb and learned the only acceptable clothing in a big city in winter is black, brown or grey.

So I did

I hunted for some dark wintery items in The Snowbound Hunt, and I’m happy with my purchases, I mean, if I have to be dark and gloomy, at least I’m fluffy!  All of the items in The Snowbound Hunt are 0L-25L and you can see the full gallery at the landing spot, or they are posted on Facebook.  This is some of what I came home with:

Head Like A Hole

Oh what a great day I’m having today, Fabs!  I won a new skin and I was able to change and still look like myself while being all 2K BOM and fancy, and then I find out that [RED GIRL] has gifted group members 450L in store credit!  I haven’t finished shopping yet, but I ran to come show you something I bought.

Clearly today I got what I deserved, everything wonderful!  [Red Girl] is one of my favorite stores in SL, the owner is super nice, and their designs are perfectly unisex, non-conformist and punk.  I grabbed a bunch of demos to try, but when I saw this oversized sweatshirt that says “Reject the Mainstream” I knew it was coming home with me.  We got 450L of credit and the shirt was just 275L so it was free for me and I have more to spend.  It comes rigged for:

Fallin’ For You

Man this weather is gorgeous.  The humidity is gone (for now) there’s a cool breeze in the air, and I came out to Cerulean Township to enjoy the scenery and the autumn leaves that I can’t get in RL.

Falling

I might be fallin’ for this weather and scenery, but I’m also fallin’ for my new skin.   Today and probably until the next edition of L’Homme magazine is out, I’m wearing the new L’Homme gift from Gloom.  The L’Homme group is free to join, and wearing the tag you get this Omar skin in all the velour and fantasy colors, along with this Reload Tattoo that comes in various transparencies.  A massive, fabulous free gift.  I really love these skins Gloom makes. Always Love

I’m surrounded by people who wear black clothing 24/7 in both lives.   I mean yeah, I guess it slims you down, and makes you less noticeable, and I get it.  I wore black to my high school reunion, after all 😂.  That being said, I’m really a colorful person.  I remember going to Toronto for the first time in late October, and everyone, I mean EVERYONE was dressed in black, grey and brown.  I stood out like the biggest Floridian sore thumb during that trip in my colorful sweaters 😂.  I’d do it again, too.  Life is too short for all that grey, do they not notice the sky? (don’t roll your eyes at me Aline!)

The Fox and the Hare

Everything has come together perfectly for this post!  First, one of my new favorite stores and one of my favorite spots to take blog pictures have come together for a collaboration.  Second, the word ‘mellow’ makes me think of a pizza place in town, and suddenly I had all the perfect gifts to show you in one post.

Mellow Elie, a new store that launched for Lelu’s 12 Days has opened a satellite store on the Cerulean Township SIM!  Mellow Elie is a new store by the creator of the old SL store called Surf & Co.  I loved this store back in the day, so when I had the opportunity to join Mellow Elie while it was free, I did.  The group is now 250L to join, but you get 15% back on all purchases, and sometimes you can even find coupon codes to use in the future on NCs tucked into some of her packages 😉   To celebrate this satellite store, Mellow Elie put out a group gift that’s only available at the satellite location.  It’s the Always Tee, a new release she had over the weekend.  The owner is the creator of Flagship, the mainstore release sale too!  I paired it with some shorts I bought in that sale.

Into The Great Wide Open

Ahhh, exactly what I needed.  A break.  Away.  From everyone.  Who am I kidding?  I need this everyday!  Lucky for me, I know just the place to go to escape, over to Cerulean Township.  It’s gloomy and raining at the moment, but I’ve got a nice spot of sun on the dock where I’ll wait for it to clear up.

There’s only 2 more days to finish up the Holiday Shop & Hop, and I’m telling you, some of this stuff you really don’t want to miss!  While I was hopping, I picked up a free gift at Rowers, 300L store credit!  Rowers has clothes for both men and women, so you know I wanted to get this store into a blog post.  You can use the 300L credit in the mainstore only, and it expires on January 31st.  I picked up this shirt for 199L, leaving me some credit to play with.  I love the feisty graphic on this shirt, it screamed my name.  This Ingrid shirt comes sized for:

Adorable

Adorsy makes some adorable clothes and I have to pay better attention to the new releases!  They are giving away a free holiday outfit and a 250L gift card for the holidays and I found so many things I wanted to buy.  The group is 30L to join, minimal cost for the gift.  I ended up deciding on these Jimi jeans, I do adore a good baggy jean.  I especially love these because they have all the zippers and snaps and a color hud for all the adorable bows.  They were 299L so I only needed to add 49L and they came home with me.  They come sized for:
