The Heat Is On

Well Fabs, it’s all good and well that I can wear warm clothes and pose in snowy sims, but here in RL Florida, and I’m sure on the other side of the world, the heat is on.  I’m not talking about an actual heater, I’m talking about the sun.  It’s going to be warm here through Thanksgiving (which is so hard for cooking that meal!) but if you’re vacationing in Miami, the weather will be perfect for hopping rooftop parties.

Air con always on

My dress has built in air conditioning though!  This was a gift from Punk Justus for Halloween month, but I thought it would also be perfect for the holidays in a warm climate.  It comes with the dress and the sparkle add on and the sparkle just makes me look like a tropical holiday tree with lights!  It will be perfect for those hot and steamy late spring and summer parties too. 😉   It’s completely free over at Punk Justus, no group is needed. Hey Fabs! I won this free outfit months ago, and I spent time looking for a wintry song I could use in the warm weather to title this post, then had to go find a snowy SIM for the picture. It’s a little silly to go on a snowy hike through the forest in a teeny mini skirt, but that’s the best part about SL, innit? It’s freezing and snowing but I’m warm inside and that counts.

I haven’t shopped the 25L Tuesday sale in a while but today this amazing dress from Faida caught my eye. I just love the lace and the way it drapes. The official sale list shows the dress in black because that’s the vendor picture, but for 25L you get to pick between blue, purple, and or scarlet shade. I was a bit sad at first because it’s quite lovely in black, but this red is pretty great as well. Pick one color, for 25L today.

Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On

I slipped into a sleek pair of high-waisted Jennifer Jeans from [By Beck] that I picked up for just 50L$ on the Marketplace.  The dark indigo wash creates an elegant silhouette and contrasts beautifully with my hoodie.  Subtle creases, where the fabric naturally flexes, add to the “lived-in” charm of the pants.  The denim in the lower legs falls loosely, creating a relaxed finish.  There are ten shades to choose from, each priced at 50L$, or you can buy the fatpack for 450L$.  It’s hard to believe these pants have such a budget-friendly price!

Lips to Talk About

I needed a gentle, natural hue for my lips that would add just enough color to brighten my face without overpowering the rest of my look.  The “Look at Me” Lipsticks from Delicatta were ideal.  Their subtle shimmer left my lips looking full and hydrated.  The HUD is for LeLUTKA Evo only and includes 4 delicate pink shades.  Best of all, I picked it up as a free group gift for members of the Maitreya Shoppers Group, which is free to join.
