Santa’s Lil Helper

It’s such a chore being one of Santa’s helpers! You have to make the toys, wrap the gifts, and pile them up in Santa’s sleigh later this month. Whew, talk about needing a vacay in a sunny place when all the madness is done. At least I scored a great lil’ outfit to wear when working.

I know all of the other helpers will be jealous once they see me. This gift, courtesy of YDEA, has everything you need: the dress, boots, and hat with hair included. I love that the hat has hair because you don’t have to fuss with getting your hat to cover your hair without it sticking out all over the place. The dress is super cute complete with a pocket you can stash your candy canes in. This outfit is named Babe’s Christmas. I think I look babe-ish.

Some nights you just end up on the kitchen floor talking for hours.  Sometimes I end up on the kitchen floor wrestling with a Christmas tree and some super glue, but that’s a story for another day.   This is an evening for long chats, candlelight and the possibility of a slice of cake after.  Aren’t those the best kinds of nights?

Set it Down

Play in the Paint

I’ve been going through a bit of an artistic phase.  Some phases are a bit more prevalent than others, but since I’ve been spending much more time at home (as one does these days), I’ve been picking up my paintbrush a bit more often than I had been doing in the past.  I’m a great proponent of making lemonade out of lemons, so my rediscovered love of making art falls squarely into the making the best of it category!  I picked up a few fun, free finds today that really reminded me of how happy I am that I’ve got loads of paint to be creative with.

Gavin Plays the Guitar
