Nice & Toasty

Happy New Year! I am celebrating in SL by hitting the slopes then chilling in the apres’ ski lounge. Snow looks much nicer from indoors. I can definitely declare there will be no avant le ski or apres ski IRL because I know healing from those ski injuries will happen much quicker in SL!

So, I finally got around to unpacking some Holiday Shop & Hop gifts. I found this snuggly outfit in the huge pile. This is the Shop & Hop gift from GGVG. Of course, it’s free. I can even wear it outside of the holiday season because the texture has snowflakes. It is perfect for those colder days. It has no name except for jacket & pants & boots. The name doesn’t matter; it is a FABULOUS look. The jacket and pants come as one piece along with the boots.

One of the gifts was from my favorite creator of SL hair, No_Match. The No_Empathy hair is a non-rigged head wrap with small braids. There are EVOX hair base layers included as well as a nice selection of hair and headwrap textures in the hud.

Hey Fabs!

Every year I do a NYE post, and it typically involves a glittery golden gown and long flowing locks and a ‘let’s party’ look on my face.  I’m always so ready to be out with the old, and in with the new.  Does that ever work out?  Not really, I don’t think.  We haven’t had a good year to replace a bad year IRL for at least a decade. In SL, life is always good, that’s why I’m here so much. 😉  I wore a short hairstyle, donned a black gown, and this year, let’s have the entire bottle of champs, shall we? We need a change!

Next!

Maybe if I’m not so hopeful for the new year it won’t disappoint me so much, so that’s this post.  I found the perfect items I needed for free on the grid to help me celebrate with apathy.  Of course, my outfit came from La Maldita Bruja!  She has a NY gift in her store called the Vesper set, and it includes this dress, the stole and a 2026 crown.  It comes rigged for:

The crown I’m wearing isn’t the one that comes from the Vesper set, but it is also a free gift from La Maldita Bruja.  It’s also on one of the panels in the landing spot and it’s called Lil.  Lil Gift.  I find it’s best to area search the names of these gifts in the store, since she gives us so many!  You don’t need any group to pick up any freebie in the LMB store.

Carol of the Meows

I know Aline has talked about this gifting event in chat, but since Christmas is over it’s kind of pointless to add it to our Advent Listing (although she may have!).  I wanted to make sure you guys don’t miss it!  It’s time to head over to the Aurica SIM!

Meow!

Aline also blogged the new holiday lucky boards at Aurica HERE, but their SIM is having a their own little gifting season.  Each day, one of the stores on the SIM is putting out a free gift, and most of the groups are free to join.  All of them I’ve joined so far have been free, although Aurica is 100L to join (but as I’m writing this post they don’t have a gift out yet). I picked up 2 gifts earlier this week from LilMeow and Thank You Next, and there’s been more since!

My adorable dress comes from LilMeow.  The group was free to join.  The dress comes with separate sleeves.  It comes rigged for:

I was very excited too, to see these gauges from Thank You Next.  They are rigged for male and female Swallow XL gauged ears.  Considering all the gauges I have for Halloween, I am lacking in Christmas!  Now, not as much 😉

I’m really not sure how long the gifts will be up, but since the gifts keep coming I’m at least confident they’ll be up until the new year.  All the shops are in a big square, so you don’t have to go hunting, just checking door to door.

There are a pile of gifts under the Christmas Tree at Belle Epoque for group members.  You’ll find 7 neatly wrapped gifts, and inside are this top and skirt combo, as well as the headband and earrings I’m wearing.  The other gifts are jewelry, a nice fluffy coat and even some nail polish.  I’m not sure how much longer these gifties will be around, so don’t wait!  The Belle Epoque group is 50L to join and well worth the fee!

Well the hustle and bustle of the main holiday is over, but we’re still celebrating all things merry and bright on the grid.  Plus, who has even gotten the chance to go through the piles of gifts they picked up this month?  You might look at your inventory and say “I’ve got enough”, but that’s where we come in.  Picking out some of our favorite gifts from events to encourage you to ‘go get this too!’ LOL

Crystal clear

One thing I didn’t make crystal clear in my photo is that there’s a brand new group gift at Warpaint and I’m in love!  You guys see me in pictures all the time and may have noticed I always have crystals or pearls around my eyes, most of them being from Warpaint, and now she’s given us new ones!  The Grace eye glitter is everything I’ve ever wanted (even if it does accentuate the bags under my eyes).  These are BOM crystals in multiple colors that are worn just under your eye.  They were perfect to make my eyes look all icy (along with my new Void lashes, thank you SantaCheese!)  You can find the new gift inside the store just past the doorway from the lobby and the group is currently free to join.
