Happy Sunday, Fabulous Readers! Ripley and I traveled to the Holiday Trace sim today, and the “Kissing Bridge” there reminded me of the home of my childhood. In rural America, covered bridges are sometimes referred to as “kissing bridges” or “courting bridges” because the roof overhead offered privacy, and the chance to smooch your significant other, which was said to bring good luck. Since I didn’t have a significant other along with me, I followed a second tradition from my youth: one childhood friend told me if I held my breath all the way across the bridge, I’d be granted one wish, so of course, that’s what I tried today!
A Wish for a New Dress……Granted!
Shanti granted my bridge-wish with the Festive Unicorn Dress, which is a free gift for members of the Teleport Hub group. With a cheery red and white color scheme, this knitted, sleeveless frock features a high collar and rows of white unicorns and hearts. I just had to smile when I looked at the details in the pattern. As a girl, I was practically obsessed with horses and unicorns, so it was kind of fitting that the answer to my wish involved these magnificent creatures. I got out of my anti-Christmas funk (I can’t say no to cookies), and decided I needed to shake things up a bit. And by shake things up, I meant I needed to literally shake myself by dancing around. I channeled my inner flashdance and became a maniac in no time flat!

I’m out the door, off to run a few quick errands and pick up the pup from her day at the doggie spa. I swear her fur grows three times faster than my hair.
