With a cut that shows off your bare shoulders, long sleeves, an empire waistline, and lace adornments, the Amanda Dress from Cowgirl Up! is comfy, yet adorably cute. I really like the way the detailed pattern on the bodice contrasts with the simple, faded denim fabric. Layers of lace trim add just the right decorative touch without overpowering the casual style. This frock is packed with realistic details such as the worn areas on the fabric, ruffled cuffs on the sleeves, and soft folds in the skirt. Although it is a bit on the short side, I was able to wear it as a dress by making use of the alpha layer on my mesh body. Contributing to the overall charm of my outfit, my Haley earrings from Vibing are one of the offerings from the Fifty Linden Friday sale. Hello Fabulouses! Ripley and I decided to check out the Education for Kenya Hunt and picked up this gorgeous Beach Bohemian dress for just 10 Linden dollars. This hunt runs through February 28th and is a 50% to charity/50% to the designer hunt. The charity is called Harambee Project Gwassi-Kenya and it helps to provide education and resources to people in Kenya. If you decide to travel down the hunt path, you’ll be seeking a pencil shaped hunt object. Pru also checked out this hunt, and you can read about the hunt gift she uncovered in her post here.
I Love Me a Maxi Dress
Even in real life, I tend to favor maxi dresses. This one features an off-the-shoulder style, a close fitting, contrasting waist section, and a tiered skirt with accent stripes and a generous hem. What first caught my eye about this beauty were the rich tones and the vibrant print. A gold and blue botanical design is splashed across a crimson background. It’s just so pretty! My heels, which you can barely see peeping out from under the dress, coordinate beautifully with the rest of the outfit, and are also part of the hunt prize. To pick up a copy for yourself, head on over to the Melange !nc. shop, and locate the yellow school pencil concealed there. Hello Fabulouses! The pupster and I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas! We hope Santa makes your dreams come true and that you enjoy a lovely holiday with family and friends. If you have a few moments and want to get into the holiday spirit in a lovely sim, I’d recommend checking out Zimminy. As the snowflakes drifted lazily through the air, Ripley was super excited to catch a glimpse of Kris Kringle himself soaring through the sky with his sleigh and reindeer. The Big Guy’s Hat
What holiday outfit would be complete without a Santa Hat to top it all off? I picked up my Tsurara Santa hat and hair combination as a free gift over at Argrace. You need to be a subscriber to pick up this holiday goodie, but the group is free to join. Inside the package you’ll find two versions of this hairstyle – one with the long hair pulled over your right shoulder, the other over your left. Also included is a full color HUD so you can change up the hue of your tresses however you like. The HUD also contains a resize feature so you can adjust the hair to fit your head as well as three options for your chest size. The Cart Sale is Still Going Strong!
Rip and I made another trip to the Winter Wonderland Sale over at the Wash and picked up the rest of my outfit, for just 10L each. My adorable cropped sweater with extra long sleeves and a cozy cowl neck is from the Kuid Clothing cart. I really like the combination of black and red, but if that’s not your cup of tea, there are other color combos available, and for just 10L, it’s a very budget-friendly wardrobe addition.

My pants and boots combination also came from the Wash. Over at the Battle Fairy cart, I spotted the Bijou Pants/Boots Wicked in black and thought they’d coordinate well with my sweater. It’s really convenient that you can wear both with one click. It’s so frustrating sometimes to find pants that can be worn with boots in SL. I don’t know how many times I’ve found what I thought would be the perfect pairing only to discover that the pant cuffs poked through the boots. You won’t have to worry about that happening with this 10L find. These babies were made to go together! The form fitting pants sit low on your waist and tuck perfectly inside the thigh high, high heeled boots. I really like the lacing detail on the back complete with golden eyelets and strings hanging down.

Hello Fabulous Readers, and Happy Monday! After all that grocery shopping yesterday in RL, Ripley and I just needed to sit down and contemplate the remainder of our budget. Luckily for us, we found a comfy spot over at Sweet E’s. Best of all, after my time of rest and relaxation, I was rewarded with a gorgeous outfit, complete with thigh-high sandal boots. Now that made my evening!
Stylish Stripes
Although it looks like it might be a one piece dress, the White Stripe Amile Outfit is actually composed of a skirt and top that look fantastic together, but also can be worn separately. I always find it so versatile when I can mix and match components to create different looks! The off-the-shoulder top features a ruffled neckline and a hem that falls to your waist (in the picture, the top ends where the solid white section starts). It’s a perfect summer day shirt. I love the laced, solid white mid section of the skirt, which allows for a delicious glimpse of your tummy. A delicate bow tie holds all the lacing in place and sets off the transition back to the coordinating striped panel in the skirt. The entire outfit hugs your curves beautifully. To round out the complete outfit, the generous designer also included sexy, thigh high boots, which feature delicate heels and criss-cross straps. Since I am a long way from the ocean, Ripley and I did the next best thing……we escaped to NorderNey in Second Life. Hello there, Fabulous Readers! Just a quick mid-week post to share with you a complete outfit (minus the shoes) that you can pick up at REA as a hunt prize in the Mad as a March Hare Hunt. The studded jacket, trousers, and even a white top are included, but I opted to go without the t-shirt. Also tucked inside the prize package is an evil bunny in a chick costume that perches on your shoulder. Don’t tell him I said so, but that little critter scared Ripley so much that I quickly shoved it back inside the box. The poor guy was hiding behind Loki the cat, whining and shaking. Some big, tough German Shepherd, eh?
