My Popsicles

“Eeeps!  Those monsters are after my popsicles!”

I am giggling as I write this up.  A blogger has got to have fun, right?  This brightly coloured Epicure Summer Bucket of Popsicles is made by [CIRCA] Living and can be found at The Wash Cart Sale for 10L.  It is meant to be a decorative item, and actually gives out randomly coloured animated wearable popsicles when you click on it!  I think I will put a couple out at FabFree Headquarters.

There are seven summer themed furniture and accessory items on the [CIRCA] cart at The Wash Cart Sale all priced at 10L each.  I will include cart shots at the bottom of this post…  but first  I want to tell you about my outfit before I forget!

In the Orange*Pekoe Marketplace Store, you can find a ton of dollarbie wearble demos, including the mesh Mariposa Blouse I have on today.  I picked this beautifully textured blouse up for just 1L and I love it!  My Logo (Slink Flat Feet Add-on) Sandals are the latest free group gift at Pure Poison, which was just released today in the free to join inworld group.

Summer Fashion Festival 2014 – Part 1

So, the other night, when I should have been headed to bed, I stumbled upon the Summer Fashion Festival 2014. Oh boy…it was a while before I went to bed, let me tell you! Almost every booth has a gift out for all of us thrifty deal lovers. Most are priced at L$1, but there are a few free ones. This summer event is on until July 6th, so you have lots of time to get over there. I managed to grab almost everything,  so let’s get to it, and I’ll show you some of it right now.

Pssst Hey Sailor Boy!

I was perusing the Cart Wash Sale and found this oh so cute sailor outfit. It’s not your traditional one but a lot more sexy. This super hot nautical themed outfit was a great find from B!asta at the Cart Wash Sale.  It’s sure to help you catch the eye of a real sailor boy! Well I didn’t see any sailor dudes hanging around the Wash so I went out to the ocean to look for some. There weren’t any to be found so I pulled out my cell phone for a shore to ship call….. and I’m still waiting for an answer!

Socks In My Sandals

Good afternoon Fabulouses :).  I generally try not to wear socks in my sandals out of fear that I may be endlessly teased about looking like a retired Floridian, but this time – it’s “adorbs” in my eyes, so tease away!    This entire outfit including the bustier top, maxi skirt, frilly socks and ribbon sandals is a free KIYOMIZU hunt prize made by SMC.  These sandals are made for the slink flat feet so you can wear them without the socks (if you must…), however if you are wearing the socks – you don’t even need the feet on!

The KIYOMIZU Sim Summer Hunt began on June 21st and runs until July 13th.  All of the prizes are free, so head on down to the sim and do some hunting for “ninja cats” to score on some sweet summer prizes from participating shops!

Okay ladies (and gents) how many times have you heard or said that? Catchy name for an outfit isn’t it? LivGlam always has catchy names for their outfits. I love this one because, as many others, they are just fanciful! And OMG the sim is beautiful and FULL of gifts. The outfit I am showing off today is actually a group gift in Fashionstars.

I found a friend out fishing where I decided to take my pictures. He looks mean but he is really a big cuddly thing. He will not, however, share his catch!

Who says Tye Dye can’t be formal? Not this girl!

When I am getting a post ready, I usually spend quite a bit of time in the outfit I am writing about. Well, it was no different with this dress, except it felt different for me.

As you can see, this dress, the Tye Dyed Formal Gown Pink & blue Multi, which is the newest FabFree  gift from Hankii Pankii, available for free at the FabFree HQ, is clearly part of 2 different worlds. The classy white under dress is materials enabled, and I hope you can see that faint shimmer of pink on the top half, as it really is stunning when you move around. The over skirt, with its bright tye-dyed colours, is just so much fun, and keeps me from feeling super formal and over dressed, I made sure I took a picture of the back as well, so you can see all the colours there are. I really did not feel like I was wandering around SL in a formal gown, which for me, is a good thing, as I tend to stick with more casual clothing.

To bring about the more boho feel in my outfit, I lucked out with my jewelry. My Lala Earrings are one of the many group gifts available out at Pure Poison. They are free, and the group is still free to join, and it was totally by chance that the colour is perfect with this dress. My necklace is another free group gift, but it is from Finesmith, which is also, still free to join. The FINESMITH– feather necklace is actually meant for guys, but with quite of bit of sizing down, it works great for us gals, and I think it really helps to bring out that hippieish feeling from the tye-dye of the skirt.

So, what do you think of my opposites attract look? I really like mixing things up, and putting together things that you don’t normal think of as going well with each other. It’s nice to see that there are other people out the who think like I do, makes me feel a little less crazy! LOL.
