Wintry Afternoon Walk

Hello Fabulous Readers! I hope you are all set for the upcoming holiday. Ripley and I have been running quite a few errands and sneaking in some last minute shopping. In the midst of all the holiday bustle, I wanted to make sure I told you about a sweet free outfit that you can pick up just for being members of Fabulously Free in SL as well as some free hair too.

A Little Christmas Dreaming

The Xmas Dream outfit from Alias! is perfect for the inevitable last minute trips to the store in the upcoming days. This free gift features a thick, long sleeve sweater, curve-hugging capris and high heel sandals. A texture change HUD for the top allows you to select from 8 different texture patterns, so it’s kind of like getting 8 sweaters in one. I really like the generous length of the sleeves and the high collar. The jean capris have upturned hems that fall to about mid calf. Although pretty heels were tucked inside the box, I opted to pull on a cozy pair of boots since I knew the pupster and I would be trekking through the snow. The shoes really are super cute – I just couldn’t see wearing them for our stroll down the country lane. Santa’s Coming to Town

To add that extra touch of holiday spirit, I decided to wear another free group gift, the No Santa hat and hair from No.Match. This is one of two hairstyles tucked inside the Carol Meets Santa gift box for members of the No.Match Update Group. Although I think No Santa is intended for male avatars, it provided the perfect finishing touch for my casual shopping outfit. A full fatpack of colors for the hair as well as a HUD containing twelve options for the hat’s texture make this a very versatile gift, indeed. Although I opted not to wear it, the Carol hairstyle (also tucked inside the box) is a really pretty updo with curly locks, a jaunty texture-change bow, an optional pine branch add on, and Christmas earrings. I’m including the vendor picture below so you can see both hairstyles. To pick up a copy of Carol Meets Santa for yourself, you do need to be a member of the No Match Update Group, and there is a 50 Linden dollar join fee, but you get not one, but two free hairstyles, plus the opportunity to pick up more gifties in the future, so it’s well worth the price!

Searching

Lots and Lots of Stars…

I’m out late at night searching…. not for stars but for Easter eggs on The Great Easter Egg Hunt. This is a large hunt with 625 gifts and 339 locations to visit. Sponsored by Caspertech, you can pick up your hunt HUD [HERE] and is nifty enough to let you know how many eggs are at each location and includes hints! How to enjoy the holiday weekend…

There are many ways to relax this extended weekend. but for me it will be on the top of a boat, taking in the sun and the waves…. in Second Life, at least…. I do intend to do some serious rl relaxing this weekend after a few necessary chores are completed.

Online Shopping Addict…

On my shopping spree online I found some great deals on the Marketplace. I found a few dollarbies that look and feel great for lounging about. The Bro Collection Casual Cotton Tee is a 1L find on the marketplace from Adham DeCuir. It comes with a texture HUD to change the tee to three different statements (Now I can’t get this song out of my head). Another 1L find is the White Bermuda Cargo Shorts by Aquarius. For my feet I picked up the Sandy Flip Flops at DROPS that Kat first showed [HERE]. I’m still wearing the Brandon Specs from Thalia Heckroth, a group gift and free to members and just 5L to join.

Time to feel the breeze in my hair and the surf on my face….

Chillin’ With the E.B.

Happy Monday, Fabulouses! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start. Now that my computer is up and running again (crossed fingers and toes), I can tell my favorite readers about two free gifts that are available, just in time for the arrival of spring weather. Sparkling Earrings

I decided to jazz up my outfit with a fanciful pair of dangling earrings that brought to mind the Eagles’ song Peaceful Easy Feeling. I love the ornate twists and turns in the silver metal, which are accented with aquamarine crystals. If gold is more your style, you are in luck because the package includes both metal types. Best of all, these Gothica Earrings are currently on sale at the promo price of only 70L at Baubles! by Phe. I’m not sure how long the promotion will last, so if you want to scoop up these jewels for yourself, I’d suggest heading on over to Baubles soon.

Fancy Free

One of the best parts of balmy weather is being able to slide on a pair of comfy flip flops, and feel the breezes caress my toes. After being caged up all winter in boots, my feet relish the freedom offered by sandals. With a moment’s notice I can slip off my footwear, and dangle my tootsies in the surf, or feel the warmth of sun-drenched sand on the soles of my feet. Just in time for my peaceful, easy day, I discovered these free Sandy FlipFlops from Drops.
