Old Fashioned Holiday

Happy Boxing Day Fabs!  To celebrate, I brought a box of cupcakes to the holiday gathering.  Yeah I know it’s not the purpose of Boxing Day but I’m on a economic strike, and these days I only buy virtual goods, so I made my own meaning, plus  ummmm cupcakes! ♥

You know whenever someone is looking for modest clothes in world, our group screams out S@BBIA!  Well, she has some pretty high class modest clothes, a lot of her designs pull from old CoCo Chanel designs and I love them.  Classy and sophisticated, she has winner in this December group gift.  Her group is always free to join, too!  It’s rigged for:

Merry Christmas 2025 from FabFree

We at FabFree would like to extend our Holiday greetings to our wonderful readers.  It’s the most wonderful time of the year here in Second Life, and this year may have been the most most wonderful when it comes to the generosity of designers and community members.  I feel like we were snowed under a pile of gifts, which shows me that the spirit of giving is alive and well.

I’d also like to take a moment to thank everyone in the FabFree Family for a wonderful year of blog fun.  This December has been especially exciting when it comes to the number of views we received on the FabFree blog.  Before I gush incessantly about it (which I have already in our inworld group chat), I want to take a moment to just remind everyone that this blog is run by 5 gals who do it all for free.  We don’t get paid and we get no revenue for our blog posts – we do it because we love to share what we find!

This December was the biggest month for viewership on the blog in our 18 year history, and this December 1st (the day the Advent list goes live) was our biggest ever, almost tripling the amount of views in one day from last year.  This makes me especially proud, because 5 years ago FabFree was set to wind down operations.   We soldiered on, and I’m happy to report that we have grown our reader base, grown our group membership, and grown in our mission to keep bringing affordable finds to everyone!

Personally, I’d like to extend my gratitude to my blog team (for keeping the amazing posts and finds coming), my chat mods (for keeping our chat on track), our FabFree designers (for offering us wonderful free gifts) , and all our community members (for keeping FabFree a lively, happy, chatty, fun place).

Wishing you all the very best this Holiday Season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, The Winter Solstice, or any other wonderful celebration that brings light to this world.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Merry Christmas Fabs!  I actually don’t celebrate Christmas, per se, but we follow the traditions I admire about the holiday for sure.  A small tree, cooking and baking from scratch, and all of the goodwill and cheer (which I try to follow all year long).  The happiness and joy is so needed everywhere, so let’s not stop here hey?  Let’s keep the holiday spirit alive until the next holiday season, shall we?

Glitz and glamour

I felt it was apropos to don my best for the special day, so here I am in all my glitz and glamour.  My outfit is a free gift, of course, straight from Santa himself!  He stopped over at Palomma Plaza and he left a pile of gifts for all the good boys and girls.  (There are gifts for both 😉 ).  I brought home some lovely things, but wanted to show off these.

Van Down By The River

Hey hey Fabs, everyone baking cookies and getting ready for Santa?  It’s been too hot and humid IRL for me to make my annual meringue cookies, but Santa gets plenty from the rest of you I hope.  Besides, I don’t need to bribe Santa with cookies, I’m on the NICE list!  Porta, on the other hand ….

Vroom!

So I had so much I wanted to blog in this picture today, but I had to choose wisely and I just HAD to show off my new van! LOL.  Every year the MUGMAS calendar is my favorite (well, it’s in a tie with UNA, and some others … lol) and I generally blog it at the end of the season.  MUGMAS lasts for 12 days and you can get past gifts!  The group is 250L to join, but gah, the adorable stuff I bring home every year!  These are some of the gifts I’ve gotten:

I love that both of their calendars are 100% holiday themed.  I look forward to it every year.  All the items in both calendars (that have been released so far) are on display in each store, so you can still join and bring them all home with you.
