You Can Never Hold Back Spring

Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods!  Now, if we could only get some of those April showers, we’ll be in business.  In RL it’s dry as a bone, but thankfully, you can always find a beautiful spring setting in SL.

That’s what my shirt is telling me to do, so who am I to ignore it? 😉  I am enjoying my day though, because I’ve got a fresh new outfit to wear, and it was totally free!

Well, if it isn’t already almost a week into March, this year is flying by so far!  I’ve got a free dress in a gorgeous shade of green I thought would be perfect for a blog this month.

I just happened upon this gift, so I have no idea how long it’s been there or will continue to be, so if you want it, the time to go is as soon as you finish reading this post!

Natural glamor

I was at FlowerDreams the other day and noticed they had a 500L gift card available for their group members.  Yep, the group is free, so I snatched that up, attached it, added it to my store credit, and I went shopping! (You can find it on a sign just outside of the gifts building).

I really love her flowy part flexi gowns, but I don’t have the occasion in world to wear them often, so I went shopping in the casual building.  I chose the Diane dress, and it was 300L for the fatpack, which made it free with the 500L credit!  Now the fatpack is all very slight shades of pastels, they are very light.  This dress is pink, but in some lights it’s difficult to tell.  I also thought the sleeves were thoughtful, you can change them between 8 different patterns of lace or you can keep them solid like the dress.  It comes rigged for:

First let’s talk about my dress.  It’s the Florya Dress, and it’s a group gift from Dark Cat.  It’s a fatpack and has a bunch of solid and patterned textures in the hud.  It’s located on the group gift wall (it’s a caspervend scroll thing so scroll if you don’t see it).  The Dark Cat group is 10L to join, a steal for a cute spring dress, hey!  It comes sized for:

Does anyone remember who said that?  When my brain is being weird, it is being WEIRD.  That was a quote from Snidley Whiplash from the cartoon Rocky and Bullwinkle!  (I hope Fuku is reading this post)  I went to Cupid’s Curse that Aline told you about HERE and came home with a ton of free gifts, and I didn’t even need a group!

A Place In The Sun

Welp, it’s Friday Fabs, and with that our cold front is over and our sunshine is back.  So this blog post goes out to all of you in cold northern climates who are searching for the sun.  It’s on it’s way!

In-between seasons

It’ll be in-between seasons for a while now, some super hot days, some with a nice cool breeze, but I don’t think I’ll have to cover up my succulents any longer.  I’ve got the perfect outfit for those in-between days, an adorable cropped fleece hoodie and shorts.  I got them over at Yasum, because it’s time for another Balloon Dog Hunt!

You don’t have to hunt very hard.  Head into the New Releases room, and find all the vendors with a big heart balloon over them.  Now, look for a purple balloon dog under one of the items.  That item should be marked down to 1L for you to buy!  I came home with 6 things, and I’m showing you 2 of them, the Mochi top and shorts.  They come sized for:

A Daisy A Day

Hi Fabs!

I totally missed Lunar New Year this year!  Although, it started on February 16th but generally lasts 15 days, so I’m not technically late.  This isn’t ‘Year of the Fire Horse’ related, but it’s a lovely free group gift I found on the wall at .cococat. and was given for Lunar New Year in 2024.

Proper

I do feel so proper and modest in this lovely full dress, I absolutely adore the black, white and yellow daisy pattern.  It’s only rigged for the Legacy body, but with some careful alpha-ing I was able to wear it on my Lara X.  It clips a little on the collar/neck, but if I alpha’d that part it would show a gap in my neck, so I just wore a hairstyle that covers the small clip.  Of course, you can always wear the free Legacy body in your library folder, but I like a challenge. 😉

I was also thrilled with this head scarf, this is another free group gift, but matches this dress perfectly.  It’s a beautiful daisy lace, and I love it so much.  I would have blogged ‘just’ the scarf if I thought you’d let me get away with it. 😉

Hey Fabs!  Happy Monday?  What on earth possessed me to spend my rare Sunday off working in the yard yesterday?  I’m sore and have some sun, but I guess it’s best to get it done now, so I can enjoy moments like the one in my photo when it’s time.

Leave it to SL fashion to make me look good when I don’t feel so good.  Last month I was so excited when I found a new group gift at Fashionably Dead, and suddenly there’s another one!  Typically I’m not big on lace, but oh my goodness do I love this top.  It is the most gorgeous (hand-stitched, I’m sure!) lace I’ve seen, and it comes as a giant fatpack of colors.  It comes rigged for:
