The Bearded Guy and the Secret Garden

Simple Gifts

Every good story should start with the line, “let me tell you about The Bearded Guy and a Secret Garden.”  Such is the case with today’s outfit.

I started my morning as I always do, reading the FabFree blog to see what my blogging sisters have been up to.  Well, it turns out that Sister Arielle had been over to the Secret Garden, and that reminded me that I, too, needed to get on over there to see what goodies can be launched from those precious machines.  You can read about her adventures with the Mooh machine here.

While I have to admit that I was not at all fond of the Gacha ban, I really don’t mind the “next up” (there are so many names now) machines.  For one, I thought at least 20 times, wow, I just saved a fat ton of Linden.  In the Gacha days, I would never buy hair or clothes at a machine because I am very specific about my hair color, and I don’t like wasting precious Linden on clothes and accessories I will never wear.  Imagine my delight when I landed at the Demicorn spot at the Secret Garden and the three machines were humming in tandem!  Each 50L a pull, I scored three dresses that I will wear (red, pink and white), 2 rare pink bears, a black bear, and 2 gift boxes.  It was a such a nice score without anything I wouldn’t actually want!

Once I finish reading the blogs, I check out all the sales for the day, and, since it’s Saturday, there are lots of things to occupy my virtual purse.  I headed over to The Bearded Guy for some sale props, and that was the first time I had been to his store.  HOLY TOLEDO!  The Group is 75L to join, but there is an ENTIRE WALL of group gifts AND a 1500L Gift Card for group members.  I bought this scene, Cute Palacio Backdrop, with the Gift Card.  The scenes range in prices but the 1500L Gift Card will buy one fatpack or several single scenes.  I did the latter because I have a “thing” for pink.

So now that shopping is over, I can go listen to Rasbury Rearwin play the guitar in a seriously cute outfit!!!

Settling Into Fall

Hey FabFree! I am enjoying the fall season and decorating my home with lovely fall goodies. Before I jump into the decor I’ve found, I have an amazing free fall mug and drink to share.

Now it’s time to share some amazing fall decor. I am loving the pumpkin season too! I got most of my decor from the Fall Festival at Malus Park which is a wonderful event to stock up on fall goodies. They have many giftboxes scattered around the event that cost 25L and under at the Fall Festival, which ends on October 16th. 

I also grabbed the banner from the Halloween Shop & Hop. The deals under 75L I am showing in decor today are:

  • The pot of pretty orange flowers is a 25L deal from Finca at the Fall Festival.
  • The beautiful fall leaves painting is 25L from Cwtch at the Fall Festival.
  • The two pumpkins that are breaking open with green ivy and brown leaves falling out of them cost 70L each, and you can find them at the Noveny booth at the Fall Festival.
  • Finally, the “Happy Halloween” banners are a free gift from Finca at the Halloween Shop & Hop.

Feelin’ Fall

It’s officially Autumn!  That calls for some fun decorating around our SL homes.  There are always so many pretty items that appear this time of year that I can definitely say that I own too many.  That doesn’t matter, really… I’ve got a never ending amount of storage and an infinite appetite for all things Fall.  Let’s get into it so you can make your space fallish too!

The Apple Never Falls Far

There are some new gifts at Apple Fall!  Always generous with their goodies, you’ll be able to find this stag head and pumpkin urn there for free.  You don’t even need to join the group, just buy for 0L.  As always with Apple Fall items, the quality is absolutely brilliant and it’s all so goshdarn pretty.  You’ll find these gifts at the landing point.

Scream it Out

And since we’re welcoming Fall, that clearly calls for a pretty banner strewn nonchalantly in your entranceway (or anywhere else you so desire!)  I picked up this pretty one over at Finca.  I joined the group for free, then clicked on the vendors in the group gift section.  There are a few other really nice items too to decorate with.
