Back At One

Goodness, I blinked and it went from before Thanksgiving to days into December. And I know that another blink will take me past Christmas. I have no idea where the time went or even what Advent Calendars I want to participate in this year. There is a LOT going on, FabFree. It’s time to take a deep breath and go back to basics.

The hair that I’m wearing is a free group gift from URSIDXE. But wait, haven’t we seen this hair before? Yup! I blogged it back in August. Back then it was an event gift, now it is a free group gift in the store. So if you missed it then, you definitely want to grab in now. Ah, a beautiful skin. I do love a fresh pretty skin. This one is from Le Voltage and it’s a free group gift, just outside of the store. The group is free to join and you’ll find some other free gifts there on the wall along with it. I’m wearing the newest one, Joyce, and it includes everything that you need – a fatpack of skintones and ears and some makeup, plus freckles which I’m wearing. It’s quite lovely.

This book made me giggle, so here we are. It is one of the numerous free gifts on the current hunt happening over at Belle Epoque. The hunt has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I was waiting for the dust to settle before I blogged a bit of it myself. There are cakes hidden all over the sim, 5 from Belle Epoque and 1 each from 14 other creators. Search high and low, collect the cakes, get free stuff. There is no group join required and the gifts are all free. The book is by Ruinyou Ruinme and comes in another title too, plus each has a hold for the left and right hand. The Belle Epoque hunt is scheduled to last through December 14th.

We’re moving on in to snowy season, my favorite Second Life season, and I’m loving all my new cold weather wear.  I’ve got 2 great free gifts for you today.

There’s a ton of things I love about snowy regions in SL.  My body IRL feels cooler when the snow is coming down in SL.  The atmosphere and the pictures are really nice too.  I love the way the shadows reflect on the snow.

To stay warm on my winter tours, I picked up this great puffy bomber jacket from MOoH!.  Even better?  It’s a fatpack of lovely plaids and it’s a group gift for Fab Free, which, of course, is free to join.   Thanks to our in-world group I was reminded you have to pay 1L which is refunded for it to deliver.  It comes in all these sizes:

Hey Fabs! I won this free outfit months ago, and I spent time looking for a wintry song I could use in the warm weather to title this post, then had to go find a snowy SIM for the picture. It was all kinds of a struggle and I gave up, but this outfit is still available to win, and all the snowy SIMS are back so I picked a new song and I’m blogging it so you can win it too.

It’s a little silly to go on a snowy hike through the forest in a teeny mini skirt, but that’s the best part about SL, innit? It’s freezing and snowing but I’m warm inside and that counts.

Faida

I haven’t shopped the 25L Tuesday sale in a while but today this amazing dress from Faida caught my eye. I just love the lace and the way it drapes. The official sale list shows the dress in black because that’s the vendor picture, but for 25L you get to pick between blue, purple, and or scarlet shade. I was a bit sad at first because it’s quite lovely in black, but this red is pretty great as well. Pick one color, for 25L today.

Exit Light

I saw that it is an anniversary round of the Disturbed event, so I headed over to look around. This is a pretty cool event and there aren’t gifts at every booth, but I’d say that there are enough to make it worth a visit for sure. I’m wearing these free things from Disturbed:

• Free eyes from Delicate Sins in four creepy colors as BOM, Lelutka applier, and Omega applier
• Free scarring on my forehead from brainrot which is beautifully done and extends up onto my head a bit more than you can see here
• Free “black goop” by MoC which is exactly what it sounds like and leaking out of my mouth and eye

It seems that some gifts require a group join and some gifts are free with no group needed. I don’t know which is which because I just joined the free Disturbed group and clicked away, ain’t nobody got time to activate and deactivate the group tag to see which gifts need it and which don’t. I can tell you with certainty though that all of these things are free.

Fifty Lindens

All I could do is visit my very favorite weekly sale and come here to show off my bargains. I’m wearing two great items from the weekend’s Fifty Linden Fridays list. This hair from Wasabi is definitely a must have, and includes bunches of sizes and a fatpack of colors/streaks/the whole shebang. The other items that I found irresistible is this dress from Cheezu. You can pick between this pink shade or a nice brown and I had a moment of indecision before going with the pink. It is so sweet and pretty and looks so soft, plus it comes with a fatpack of colors for the ribbon. Both my hair and my dress were only 50L for the Fifty Linden Fridays sale, which lasts through the weekend.

Jury Duty (Not!!)

I am just lucky today in RL and I hope to stalk some lucky chairs and mania boards today. I was summoned for jury duty and was concerned about how it would affect my week. You know how pesky RL can be some days. Luckily I called the number provided and learned that the case was canceled and I did not have to report to the courthouse. I confess I did a joyful, lucky dance!

I love the MOoh! store group! Delriada, the creative force behind the brand, is always on time with group gifts and monthly raffles. The group does have a join fee of $100L but it is well worth it.
