Psycho Bytes

I was doing that thing I do, where I check out the other nearby stores around the store that I happen to be visiting. That’s how I found myself in Psycho:Byts. I’ve never heard of this store before but it’s neato. Naturally the wall of free gifts caught my attention. These aren’t group gifts but rather subscrib-o-matic gifts, so no need to use up one of these precious group slots. Just click the vendor and it’ll ask if you want to subscribe. Once you’ve agreed to that, keep clicking on any of the gifts that you want and it’ll verify your subscriber status and deliver the gift for free.

I’m showing two of the free gifts that I grabbed. One is the aforementioned little green men on my top. This top has the best shine and hangs so nice. It comes in one unlabeled size that fit me perfectly. I’m also wearing the free gift eyeliner. It includes eight shades in a Lelutka applier, each featuring a nice pop of color on the upper lid.

I Shall Wear Purple & Shine!

Happy Monday! I won’t wait till I’m old to wear purple. I’ll wear it any time I like. I know we’ve all heard at least some part of the poem, “Warning”, by Jenny Joseph. It’s been a favorite of mine for some time now though I never knew its name. “Warning” begins with the words, “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.”. It ends with “But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised when suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.”

Practicing

Here’s the deal, Artic Storm, always has two free MM boards and a Lucky Letter board that don’t require a group to slap. The store also participates in a number of sales and hunts. There is always lots going on in the store. I went over the slapped the MM boards the other night and once the target was met the prize was delivered to me. Score! I can practice wearing purple. The Shine dress comes with a set of matching panties. This lovely & sexy purple dress will indeed have you shining as it comes with a diamond & shine overlay. As you can see it has a very deep neckline. What you don’t see in my picture are the hip high side slits or the open back of the dress. And, the price is just right to make you give up a few minutes of your time to visit the store.

I’ll Put a Hex on You

I love following group chats in several of the freebie and discount groups I’m a member of. In one of those chats someone posted that there were free gifts at new to me store, Hexumbra.

Sedona Feeling

Hey Hey Fab Fam! It is tooooo hot in my part of the real world and yet here I am in the deserts of Second Life. At least these sands are pretty and I can roam them in the comfort of my AC. A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Time really flies in Second Life! I remember when Heaux was a brand new store and now they are celebrating their 4th Birthday! And are inviting you to celebrate with them!

In Search of Magic

It’s time for a bit of dreaming, FabFree.  It’s all about wide open spaces, secret passageways into the woods and magical happenings for me today.  I don’t know.  It could be all the rain I’m trying to escape from, but whatever it is, I could use a bit of magic.

Day Job

Poor Vinny had to get a day job to pay for his fun in SL, luckly he got hired on right away at Bellisseria Dept. of Solid Waste.

I know it looks like he has had the shirt he is wearing forever but really it’s a brand new free gift from Kiki Kaikai with ventalation holes for the hot days picking up garbage cans in Bellisseria.

He was meeting friends at the bar after work so he added a button up under the t-shirt for a dressed up look, hopefully it’s not the same t-shirt he was wearing to collect trash, both versions are included.

Pinker Than Pink

OMG!! Second Life is filled with Barbie mania. It’s mostly pink things and I love my pink thangs. When I was much younger I spent hours with Barbie. She had a custom wardrobe courtesy of my mom who spent the summer making Barbie’s clothing. I remember asking here if I was getting a Barbie. She told me one of her neighbors had asked her to make the clothes for one of my friends who apparently was getting one. At the time I figured I could could at least play with my friend’s doll. Surprise, surprise! All of Barbie’s handmade clothes were under the Christmas tree along with a Barbie Doll!! Anyhoo, I had a lot of fun putting this post together pulling things from sales and the marketplace. Let’s dive in!

Pinking It Up

You’ve most likely seen a couple of posts about Barbie stuff. See Starla’s post & Aline’s post. Today’s look started with a SL Marketplace search for Barbie with a little help from one one of our own Fabbies! My dress, from Gin’s Boutique, on the MP, is a sort of throwback to the early days of SL with it’s flexi skirt. None-the-less it’s super cute! When I got this dress the other day it was free. Now the price has gone up to $150. The dress has a bodysuit and a one sized flexi skirt. The body suit fits Maitreya, Legacy, & Legacy Perky.

More Pink Than You Can Stand

As I made my shopping rounds I squealed all girly like when I saw even more Barbie stuff! I’ve always wanted a sporty pink car so I paid $60L for it at A Touch of Magic. The car is driveable so if you need to run up or down the California coast you’re all set. It’s a basic car so there are no huds with all kinds of car info like speed etc. Take care when driving around the grid because you may be speeding! It comes with a male character you can drive around with but he doesn’t get to drive; you do. Take that Ken!

Then I saw the Animated  Doll Package just a few steps away. Every respectable blogger should have a doll box. You never know when you’ll need one. It’s a box you need to rez and then sit in. It includes a female doll character to keep you company. This one was also $60L.

Next I traipsed over to Granola where I grabbed this great billboard out for Fifty Linden Friday. I mean who wants to go to the real world?? This is a warning sign for me. Maybe I’ll place in my Linden home’s yard.

I’ll admit, I’m probably more likely to decorate a pool table than be any competition when playing.  Lucky for me, decorative is easy in this great dress that fits like a glove, and it’s free.
