Always Remember

Today is a day of remembrance for the USA. It is Memorial Day where we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.  As you can see I’m sitting in a patch of poppies. Why, Cre? The poppy has long been a source of remembrance and been associated with Memorial Day in the US as well as other countries such as the UK, Canada, & Austrailia.

The day turned into a three day weekend for many where tons of barbeque are consumed. Memorial Day is unofficially the beginning of the summer season. In some parts of the world it’s spring but here in the subtropics it’s full on summer. It’s hot & sticky.

Off to the Beach!

I try to go to Luna Chelsea a few times a week to slap the Mania board. The prize is a $99L store gift card. You probably know the drill by now. No group is needed for the board. There are always weekly offers priced at $99L and the gift card store has items that are priced at $99L and below. Today I am wearing the Ulva swimsuit/bikini. It’s one of the current $99 L daily specials. These vendors usually are available for several days so don’t tarry or you’ll miss it. If you miss a special the good news is that new ones will go up on the vendors immediately.

Some call this a bikini while others say it’s a swimsuit. Either way it’s a great find I picked up by using one of the $99L gift cards. It was completely free. There are all kinds of nice touches on Ulva. It comes with a hud full of textures, some prints and others solids. It’s great for beach season!

Hot Pink!

I’m in a pink mood today as you can clearly see. Thanks to the designers participating in the Tres Chic 9th Anniversary for gifting me & all of you. Today I wandered over to New York City for shopping and sightseeing. I could have gone out into one of the many forests of SL but I didn’t feel like dealing with critters. On second thought there are people critters in NYC. Oh well, I forgot my cootie spray is in my hotel room.

I have gift from Tres Chic to show you. First up is this lovely outfit from Casadel (it’s a new to me store). The Lydia outfit comes in 2 pieces: the top & skirt. I love the top with its’ open sides delicately tied with a string. The front looks like a regular shirt top with a cute collar and buttons but those open sides sets it apart. It’s refreshing to see something that’s a bit different. The skirt is pleated with a wide waistband. You will need to join the free event group and wear the tag to grab all the free gifts there.

Keep Me Hanging On

It’s a hot sunny day and summer isn’t even here yet. I headed to the coast to bask in the nice ocean breezes. You can’t blame a chick for wanting to stay cool and look totally fabulous at the same time.

And of course, I have another gorgeous dress to frolic in. It’s another free group gift from the free to join Basalia’s Fine Fashions (BFF) store group. Some would say it’s breezy while others say sexy. Whatever you think this dress is just too tropical to pass up. The Charlene Hibiscus bare hips dress is sized for Maitreya only. All of the clothing there is rigged for Maitreya. Group gifts are fairly regular an she also provides a gift for Fab Free now & then.

After reading Aline’s post about the free hair from Stealthic at Palomma Plaza I hurried over there to pick up the four hairstyles. You do have to join the free Palomma Plaza group to get any of the gifts there. Today I am wearing the Cadence style. It comes with both large and small versions and six color change huds! Nice score, Aline!

I Dreamed I Was . . .

I wonder how many of you remember the Maidenform bra commercials?? A woman in her underwear would be doing something totally inappropriate while saying, “I dreamed I was a ____ in my Maidenform bra!” I guess I could say I’m having a Maidenform moment. Like I could say “I dreamed I was a Victoria’s Secret supermodel in my Maidenform like bra”. There ya go!

You too, can dream to be anything you desire. None of this screams Maidenform but it gave me this vibe. Trust me, there was never a bra like this on sale. My flowy lingerie is courtesy of WebDew‘s lucky chairs. You don’t need a group to grab any prizes in the lucky chairs so it’s a free outfit.

In the Land of Nod (Almost)

In both worlds, like hair & shoes, you can never have enough jammies to wear. They come in different versions  but that is a plus for a jammie lover like me. And it’s just in time for Valentine’s or Anti-Valentine day.  Luckily, this cute set was on sale today at On A Lark. The pajamas and slippers are selling for $25L each. I don’t know how warm one can stay in these. I mean, they are pretty brief. Then again, ya know, you don’t have to worry about the weather being too cold or too hot in SL so it’s pretty much purrfect!

The heart pjs come as a cropped top and shorts. And the slippers are one size only. I did have to edit the slippers to get them on my feet. Also, I had to do a bit of alpha cuts for the top & shorts.

Feeling Like a Princess

It’s shopping day! No, I mean Saturday but there is lots to shop for. I picked up this gorgeous gown this morning and want to tell you all about it. One of the many weekend sales events is Wanderlust where items are $50L or less. It runs today & tomorrow.

While perusing the ads I came upon this offer from Noble Creations. The Princess Dress consists of a bra top and dress. A handy dandy alpha is included and it works perfectly for me. The texture on the dress is so fine & elegant. There are a number of colors to choose from at this price. I don’t wear gowns much in SL but sometimes it’s just fun to get all glammed up. And at this low price you can stuff your closet with as many colors as you like.

Salute!!

Hello! It’s Tuesday and that means sales. Weeeeee! I hit the 25L Tuesday sales today. I saw this cute top and shorts that expressed feelings I sometime have and HAD to have them. There are a lot of good finds for today. So get your Linden dollars and shop your heart out.

I’m not entirely sure who I’m saluting but a few from my past years of virtuality deserve this. My outfit from Stiff named Quezia, is on sale today. Each piece sells for $25L today. There are a number of different colors to chose from. I chose a darker color in a reddish brown tone. I figured I have way too many black outfits. Both the top and shorts fit my Maitreya body & shape perfectly. There are a few great details on this outfit but my favorite part is the wording on the shorts!
