Dilettante or Not?

It’s another Fabulous Friday readers! I get to play in SL all day because in addition to the heat wave the monsoon season has arrived. Not really monsoons but lots of thunderstorms; it just feels like a monsoon. In addition to my shopping errands this morning I did a bit of exploring and found a serene harbor in a sim named Midnight Oasis. I haven’t explored the entire place yet but what I did visit is stunning. Everywhere you turn there are magnificent Mediterranean vistas and many places that photographers will love. I highly recommend a visit.

Free Spirited

Cheeky Wow! started a new round on July 7th. Many of the booths have at least one item for $69L and several have free gifts. One of my long time favorite designers, Shanti Bohemian, has a booth there. My carefree top and skirt, the Poppy Bohemian outfit, is Shanti’s $69L offer at the event. Its the kind of outfit you want to wear when you feel like twirling around because you’ll look so darling. The lovely texture on it is very detailed.

Baby Blue Ain’t Your Color

Says who? I mean I adore the Keith Urban song but who says I can’t have blue hair if I want it. Exile‘s Fifty Linden Friday offer solved that dilemma. Kate is a casual style with a dark to light gradient in 5 colors. The blue really compliments my outfit.

Another Score on Shoes!

Pure Poison offers this striking pair of shoes today for Fifty Linden Friday. Exquisite barely describes the Luisa Sandals! Decorated with two rows of delicate flowers the included hud is massive allowing you to change many different parts to match whatever you’re wearing.

Good day my lovely witches and wizards! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE all things Harry Potter? I have been a Potter-maniac since I grew up with the series as a child and this week I was able to collect a few free and on-sale goodies in SL that are HP-inspired! What a treat!

Goodies from Muggleborn

At least one store in SL that is partially inspired by the Harry Potter series is Muggleborn, although it certainly takes an adult twist on the theme. Note that Muggleborn is an Adult-rated sim and if you are not over 18 you definitely cannot visit it; there are a number of adult-only themed items sold here. Aside from that warning, however, I absolutely LOVE this store! They even have this AMAZING top, shorts and ties set on their lucky boards to play for all to win. It includes a top, shorts and a tie. There are different styling/ stripping options for the top and tie, and the shorts can be adjusted for male/trans avatars as well. The tie also has different styling options. Each item comes with an HUD to change the colour pattern to the respective four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff). Do you want to build a…sandcastle?

Hi there! Today I decided to pop over to Witchwood to see what was new. As I’m sure you know, Witchwood is the home of Petite Morte and Oubliette. There were some great bargains and gifts to be had, but what I stuck around for was the lucky boards! Each store has 4 boards so you can walk back and forth and stalk 8 boards at the same time. I won at both stores, but wanted to show you this really fabulous bikini that I got for free from one of Petite Mort’s lucky boards.

So we have to PLAY! After I won my gorgeous new bikini, I hung around at the Witchwood sim a bit longer. Who doesn’t love building a sandcastle on the beach? That was a hypothetical question, because EVERYONE loves building sandcastles on the beach. Should we talk about the bikini now? Okay well, it’s really cute. Hi guys! I have a quickie for you today. Just a pretty little dress that will make you feel like a princess and a lovely necklace.

I picked up this fun and flouncy dress at Shoenique. The flower on the front is removable and the white spot on the skirt isn’t really there, it’s just a little bit of light from my windlight setting. It is the April free group gift but it is still available and I don’t imagine that it will go away soon because there is a whole wall of past group gifts as well. You’re Gonna Be Okay

It has been a pretty unstable summer for the whole North American continent.  It seems if you weren’t earthquaking, you were in a fire zone, a heat wave or a hurricane.  With all of these out of control conditions, there are a lot of misplaced critters out there including the crazy amount of deer in my city.  This year, I didn’t even complain that the deer ate my entire front flower bed.  They needed it, and I left them some water too.  I hope they find their way back home before winter!
