Her Blahness

Hello FabFree Readers!  As much as I love red.. and even green on occasion, I am getting a little tired of wearing red and green, and green and red!  I was really happy to find a couple of free gifts that were still holiday themed, but in different colours.  Today… I’m in black, gold and red!

Starting with my boots…

These very well made winter boots by Fri.day are red, black white and gold and are free (priced at 0L) under the giant Christmas Tree at The Arcade.  They are compatible with my Maitreya Lara body (I’m sure they’ll work with whatever you are wearing!), and include an alpha layer for those on the system body too.

My Nutcracker Pants!

I picked up these awesome Nutcracker Pants by Sn@tch for free in the Kittycats Advent Calendar.  These are compatible with system bodies and include an OMEGA applier.  A texture change HUD is included for several different colours, but I went with coal, because it showed the gold nutcracker design down the sides of the legs best. As Kathryn mentioned in a previous post…  if you are trying to stuff your pants into a pair of boots, appliers are really the way to go!

Hey FabFree! As you can see my puppy made it home safe and sound after his walkabout to Serena’s and then his untimely abduction by Carson.  He’s exhausted poor thing, not even enough energy to play with his favourite ball, but I made him pose for the photo so you could see he was returned safely!  I’m sure once he wakes up, he’ll be ready for another adventure.  Who knows where he will wind up this afternoon!

Running Out of Advent Time!

It’s the Truth, I tell you!

My hairstyle today is courtesy of Truth who put their Irena and Irenka hairstyles under the holiday Pompom hats and sent them out to the inworld Truth group.  This is similar to the previous hair gift that Sheidey has been showing off in her posts [HERE], and [HERE], but with a holiday pom pom hat ;).  A full selection of colour huds for hair and texture change for the hat is included.

Also in Truth  group notices right now, you’ll find the Bangs Collection which is a great way to add a little versatility to any of your Truth hair!  I am wearing the Swept Right Narrow bangs with my Irenka hair today and it really changed up the look.  There are several different types of bangs (or fringe as some of you around the world call it) and as like the PomPom Hat gift, there is a full selection of colour huds!  I can’t wait to try it with the other kajillion Truth hairstyles I have been collecting.  It will be like new hair all over again!  There is a fee of 350L to join currently, but it’s worth it!

Winter Decor

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

At Neve you can join their free inworld group and pick up the Holiday 2016 outfit as a free gift!  It is one piece that includes the blouse, belted skirt and cardigan.  A texture change hud is included that will allow you to change textures on four pieces with several different choices.  In my second closer up photo you can see that the texturing is fab!

Curl Your Hair!

A Little Summer in the Winter

I think Love’s mood of needing a minute away from the Holiday rush may be catching.

I love this time of year but after all the snow and reindeer and Santa red… I needed some Summer. And isn’t that one of the niftiest things about Second Life… Summer, or Spring or Fall when ever you want it.

I found my “Off” day outfit at the Wash Cart Sale at JK Style’s cart. This is the “Janet” outfit. Not only do you get the sweater and the jeans AND the boots for the 10L price tag. But you also get a HUD to change the color of the sweater to one of five colors. That’s a pretty sweet deal. The outfit comes with alphas for the boots and the top and the sweater comes in the standard Mesh sizes XS-L.

Even as I’m complaining about the Holiday rush, I’m taking advantage of the fantastic Christmas Advent at KittyCats. These are the  “Frost” Hoop earring from Swear, Lapoint & Bastchild. Long name… great earrings. These large hoops come with a HUD to change the metal, the bead and the charm. All told that’s six metals, five beads and four charms.

My equine companion for my escape comes from Come Soon Poses. This is Gacha machine #4  located just outside the shop and it’s a tiny 25L to play. “Best Friends” comes with the horse and pose and a huge fully build complete scene.

Who says there’s a dress code for tree decorating?

So, am I the only one that will sometimes put on pretty lingerie and heels, and then do something like decorate my Christmas tree dressed like that…alone? Well, if you haven’t, you should!

My lingerie is yet another fabulous KittyCatS Advent gift, this time, from Blacklace. The Katy : Red and White set is available, free for everyone, in day number 13. You get every possible system layer you could think of, cute little mesh bow attachments (you get a good view of the one on the back in one of my other pictures), as well as an Omega appliers hud for the mesh bodies and body parts that are Omega compatible. I actually went over to the Omega store to get the hud to set up my SLink feet to be Omega enabled so I could use the hud for the stockings.

Speaking of stockings, I needed sexy shoes to compliment them and my new lingerie. The Lindy Shoes booth at the Wash Cart Sale totally helped me out there. I picked up the Oreil shoes in red, for SLink high feet, for only L$10! This is why I love the Wash Cart Sale. You really can’t beat a great bargain 🙂 There are a variety of shoes and boots for you to grab from this booth, both for SLink feet, as well as system feet.

Now, while you are at the Wash sim for the Cart Sale, picking up your shoes, make sure you head over to the new monday booth for some sweet tattoos and funky face paints. New monday is actually a new project from our very own Julianna Seriman, blogger extraordinaire, turned body artist 🙂 I really liked how the Sweet Rose tattoo I picked up, for only L$10, ended up being framed perfectly with the back of my bra. Like they were meant to go together. Oh, and if you are into Fantasy type RP, you really should take a look at the face paints that are at the booth. You really let your imagination run wild Juli!

OK, lastly, the festive tree I am decorating. It is 1 part of a 3 part gift, again free from the KittyCatS Advent, for day 8, from Zanze. You get a pose and decor set, of which I am showing off the tree and ornaments, the pose that you get is for 2 people, and is really cute. You also get a gift for the guys, and a gift for the ladies. See, everyone will be happy!

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
