Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Merry Christmas Fabs!  I actually don’t celebrate Christmas, per se, but we follow the traditions I admire about the holiday for sure.  A small tree, cooking and baking from scratch, and all of the goodwill and cheer (which I try to follow all year long).  The happiness and joy is so needed everywhere, so let’s not stop here hey?  Let’s keep the holiday spirit alive until the next holiday season, shall we?

Glitz and glamour

I felt it was apropos to don my best for the special day, so here I am in all my glitz and glamour.  My outfit is a free gift, of course, straight from Santa himself!  He stopped over at Palomma Plaza and he left a pile of gifts for all the good boys and girls.  (There are gifts for both 😉 ).  I brought home some lovely things, but wanted to show off these.

Which Planet?

Yoga Pants

Well Fabs, back to the daily grind.  It’s Monday, after all, and these errands aren’t going to run themselves.  I’d love to say I’m all shopped out after Black Friday, but  ….. lol, we all know better than that!  Some sales will last for a few more days, some will be over, but these free gifts are out year round.

Fat and happy

I’ve eaten my food and finished my shopping, it’s time to slap on some yoga pants and get back to it.  I came across a bunch of great gifts as a result of my shopping habit though.  The Black Friday sale at Orphic (which should be over) was for the group only.  I had wanted to join her group for ages, but this sale forced my hand. 😉  Fortunately it was only 50L to join (it had been more expensive!) and I came home with a bunch of great gifts in addition to the things I bought.  Most of what I’m wearing is a group gift.

I Make My Own Sunshine

Hey Fabs!  Another exciting day for all of us in Second Life, Azlyn from Yasum is giving back as she always does, by having one of her 1L balloon dog hunts!

Shine

This gift Yasum gives us every few months always brings me life, and has me feeling sunshiney no matter the weather.  Every couple of months, she brings her event outfits into her mainstore new release room and lets us buy one color for one linden!  All you have to do is locate the balloon dog, and then you can buy the color underneath for 1L.  There’s many to find this time, she’s got 11 dollarbies over there for us!  I’m wearing 3 of them this in this picture.

My top and skirt are separates but from the same outfit, named Havany.  They’re fuzzy and soft and fit oh so well.  The skirt also comes with these cute little bars on it to hang ornaments, and 2 ornaments (with a metal hud) are included.  They each come sized for:

A few of the dollarbies are in this fuzzy blue texture, so I also added this bucket hat that’s in this ‘hunt’.  You know me and hats!  The Maeve hat is actually part of a set with a dress, which you can also pick up for 1L.  The clothes in the hunt/sale are for female bodies only, but the hats have a male and female size and are resizable.

It’s Christmas Eve!  My favourite day.  I much prefer it to Christmas Day, because of all the anticipation and preparations.  I’ve put on some finery and have a pile of whipped cream, so I’m ready to be awake til midnight keeping wait for Christmas to come.   What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

Feeling Triggered

I knew I needed the latest group gift at Triggered the moment I saw it.  A deep sparkly blue? Christmas Party

So of course this happened to me.  I got all dolled up to go to a holiday party, called my uber, and then the uber got a flat.  Thankfully I’m just across the frozen pond from the party, but I don’t trust the ice.  I’ve got to walk alllllllllll the way around without a coat and drag my beautiful gown through all this snow, ugh.

Budget glam

One of the benefits of doing additional work on the blog is that often I have to TP around the grid to check SLURLS and signs and such.  I ended up over at GAW and discovered a wall of gifts and also a wall of promos.  This gorgeous gown is one of the promos and it only cost ONE LINDEN.  Yep!  I snatched this up so quick, because you can never have enough gorgeous gowns.  No group join was needed, even.  It comes sized for:

Black Mirror

I don’t get around to very many malls in Second Life anymore, there aren’t as many as they used to be, but I know of one that’s celebrating being open for a year, and Progeny Mall has free gifts to celebrate.

I came home with some cute things, and a lot of them are even in my size.  This Hecate outfit by Roja’s, for instance.  This is a great little outfit that you can wear year round, although I’ll probably save it for the next spooky time of year.  It actually isn’t a pentagram, more like a Star of David, but it also has a cool damask skull design texture.  The outfit comes in this red color, and includes the strappy top, skirt and boots, as well as horns and wings (not shown).  It comes sized for:

I also picked up some new make-up, this Blood Curse make-up from Warri Store.  It comes in separate layers, eyeshadow, eyeliner (red or black) and altogether as a full face BOM.   Full face for the win, since I can’t find a mirror anywhere!

Oh happy day! I love those days where you’ve been looking and hoping and wishing for one of your favorite stores to drop a new gift, and today is that day!

Boho Chic

Dami has been one of my favorite stores since the good ‘ol gacha days.  I still search every gacha market for goodies from Dami when I go.  So yeah, a new gift dropped on us yesterday afternoon and I couldn’t be happier.  This is the REINA outfit and it comes with the sweater and pants in these textures.  The more I wore it the more I loved it.  The sweater comes as most Dami clothes do, with an arm in the pocket pose.  It’s also really beneficial to have mesh nails that you can wear on separate hands for these occasions lol.

I Can See Clearly Now

Sing it with me everyone, “It’s gonna be a bright (bright) sunshiny day!”

Of course this was the first song that popped into my head when I tried on this new outfit!  I mean, it doesn’t hurt that the color is named ‘sun’ but it sure is bright and lovely isn’t it?  Then I wanted to find something to hold while posing and I found this sunny day set in my inventory, and now here we are.

And almost free gifts!  I got a notice from Yasum the other day, that it’s taken her ‘too long’ to get her new releases into the store from recent events, and to apologize for that, she put out a bunch of gifts.  That Azlyn is too kind, and she really loves her customer base. There are a bunch of gifts now at Yasum, and you can get them all for 1L each!  This is the Sabine Top and Pants (and suspenders) and it’s absolutely perfect.  I love the fluffy top – because you know I love that all things fluffy, I knew this was the gift I had to wear for this post.  It comes sized for:
