Through Anything

No matter what, my guy and I can make it through anything. Through thick and through thin, through the crashing of planes, the exploding of bombs, a new world regime! Anything at all could happen, and we’d come out on top, and look awesome while doing so. Okay, I admit that was a bit dramatic, but thanks to Second Life we can live through our stories. Thanks to Contraption, DRD, and Birth, we can look the part too!

I do love it when Blue and I find unique, whimsical, and otherwise outside the ordinary items inexpensively or better yet for free in Second Life.  Keep reading for info about each of these fantastic group gifts, and peep the full list of credits and links at the end. Contraption

The foundation of my look for this post, and Blue’s, is this amazing jacket by Contraption. Not only is it highly detailed, it comes sized to fit both male and female avatars. It also includes a hud that allows you to change the metallic embellishments to gold or silver. This special edition version of the “Atreus Waistcoat” is free to all Le’Homme group members for the month of February. The Le’Homme Magazine group is free to join. DRD

Death Row Designs aka DRD recently put out this cool as hell unisex cap as a free group gift. I love all the individual patches that add the detail of this hat. It comes in black, and navy blue. It’s able to be resized, and can be worn by male and female avatars. To get yours, you’ll need to join the free-to-join Death Row Designs group and click the gift vendor while wearing your group tag.

Birth

Finally, the detailed mandala-like design shaved into the back of Blue’s head just so happens to be a current Mens Stuff Hunt gift available at Birth. The Mens Stuff Hunt is a free hunt that runs until February 29th. This unique unisex hair base prize at Birth comes in 3 styles, each able to be tinted.

Breathing Space

Sometimes we all need a little breathing space. A moment of quiet zen to take a deep breath, visualize our safe place, and find inner peace. My “hunting buddy” took me to a little sim spot called La Vie and I went inside one of the little buildings and thought ahhhh this is breathing space. It was just that little corner where you could take space for yourself and relax!

Where it started.

I found this skirt… at Treze. It’s a new-to-me store and I happened upon this gift skirt there. The group is free to join and then you can pick up the skirt for free. It comes in several sizes in this lovely little print. A Maitreya size was not included, however I found that the Slink Physique size fit my mesh body perfectly. And for the price of free, it’s worth picking this pretty skirt up, to try on the sizes and see if one of the sizes will work for you!

I thought I’d take a few minutes to catch my breath before the craziness starts tonight. My sweet, little friend is having such a peaceful snooze… I’m starting to feel the need for a nap myself!

Redecorating with 31 favors…

While I was on “leave”, It seems that Love redecorated the FabFree Info Hub. She added a quaint little ice cream bar on the side of the building. If I wasn’t on a diet (stupid doctors), I’d be eating the ice cream instead of serving it.

Eclipse

I was in the path of the Solar Eclipse yesterday, and was lucky enough to have a chance to view it because my local library had a viewing event and was providing free eclipse glasses for individuals to check out for 15 minute intervals. By lucky chance, I was able to check out my 15 minutes at the peak of the eclipse and see it in all its glory. It was an amazing sight!

A few creators have made gifts that seem to commemorate the event and it seemed appropriate to show them off!

Mandala…

Kib Designs is giving away a free Mandala dress (the group is free to join) if you stop by their main-store. The Mandala has come to represent or be a general generic term for any diagram, chart, or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos… a microcosm of the universe. It seems an appropriate and beautiful gift at the moment given the impact of the solar eclipse on so many people as they rushed to get to see it.

August Eclipse 2017

Chop Zuey was not to be outdone as far as gifts, and the creator has made a special texture change set of jewelry, specifically to commemorate the event, called “August Eclipse.”

There are two gifts… the diadem is a free to all gift and is fully customizable and texture change. You can pick it up in the free to all gift section by buying it for 0L.

There is also a Chop Zuey group gift, which is the jewelry set, in the group gift section. This set includes the choker, earrings, and bracelets, all texture change just like the diadem. The group is 350L to join, but Chop Zuey sets out frequent gifts for both men and women, making the group well worth joining.
