She’s So Cold

Hi again Fabs!

I thought this little sleeveless, short jumpsuit was adorable when I picked it up and tried it on, I thought you might like it too.   It’s the December group gift from HORL, and this is in addition to her daily advent calendar!

Is a little chilly out here without even a sweater, but I didn’t want to cover up the cute.  This is the Sally jumpsuit it all it’s Christmas plaid, with a little fluffy border at the top and a gold belt.  It’s one piece!  It comes rigged for:

I’m trying my darndest to keep my head above water, I think  I might just make it (once I get through today and tomorrow).  So, since I was very interested in the outfit on the notecard I got from {amiable},  I went over to this event called Tinsel: A Winter Market. When I arrived, I found loads and loads of free gifts, all you need to do to bring them home is join the free group and collect them!  I’m wearing a bunch of them in this warm gingerbready photo!

Oh Fabbies, I snatched this gift up so fast and put it on immediately.  I don’t blog Pink Cream Pie often, I think most of the bloggers are in the group, but I just couldn’t sit quietly aside on this one.

Lastly, I have a cool pair of earrings I picked up on Marketplace for only 10L, these Punk earrings from Ascent.  They come with a full metal hud too PLUS they’re animated.  You can choose between animated and non, but the animated ones swing slightly and just look so fun, like they’re moving when you walk.

Morning Fabs!

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in my household, but we do take this weekend to honor and be thankful for my Mom, whom I lost years ago at this time of year.  She was a tremendous cook, and I don’t enjoy cooking, but I suck it up and cook all day in her honor.   The best part is when my son and I make my great great grandmother’s famous chocolate sauce and laugh about how dramatic my Mom was in the kitchen. 😉

I thought today would be a great day to blog about a lovely store I shopped at for ages that is leaving the grid.  We are losing The Secret Store. 😦  She sent a NC, she’s moving forward with her creative illustrator journey IRL.  I hope all wonderful things for her future!  She announced a sale through December 1st as she departs.

I ran over immediately and all the feels kicked in as a I saw so many items I own (but have packed away in my old Maitreya box).  I wanted to shop though, and I found some lovely items that work on my Lara X. Most of the store is sized in older mesh sizes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

Her store is set up so that singles are 25L-50L and her fatpacks are 150L-250L.  I purchased this Misha oversized coat for only 50L.  It comes with a full hud of sweater designs and you have the ability to turn the undershirt on or off too.  This one is sized for generic mesh sizes and comes with an alpha.

I also purchased these Emily Cuffed jeans for 50L.  I tried on all the sizes, and the Belleza Freya size fit perfectly on my Lara X.

We’re moving on in to snowy season, my favorite Second Life season, and I’m loving all my new cold weather wear.  I’ve got 2 great free gifts for you today.

There’s a ton of things I love about snowy regions in SL.  My body IRL feels cooler when the snow is coming down in SL.  The atmosphere and the pictures are really nice too.  I love the way the shadows reflect on the snow.

The Heat Is On

Well Fabs, it’s all good and well that I can wear warm clothes and pose in snowy sims, but here in RL Florida, and I’m sure on the other side of the world, the heat is on.  I’m not talking about an actual heater, I’m talking about the sun.  It’s going to be warm here through Thanksgiving (which is so hard for cooking that meal!) but if you’re vacationing in Miami, the weather will be perfect for hopping rooftop parties.

Air con always on

My dress has built in air conditioning though!  This was a gift from Punk Justus for Halloween month, but I thought it would also be perfect for the holidays in a warm climate.  It comes with the dress and the sparkle add on and the sparkle just makes me look like a tropical holiday tree with lights!  It will be perfect for those hot and steamy late spring and summer parties too. 😉   It’s completely free over at Punk Justus, no group is needed. Identity Crisis

I’ve got an ocean vibe going today. We can thank Beachy for the heads up on this Wanderlust sale item. She saw this in the gallery and sent me the link because she knew my kitty avatar has a secret desire to be an octopussy or a a Cecaelia. Off I went to Jinx where I bought the Cecaelia Bento Avatar for Littles for only $50L! There is also a version for regular avatars at the same price (Yep got that one too!).

A Cecaelia is A mythical creature that is a variation of merfolk, with the body of a human and the lower body of an octopus or squid instead of a fish tail.You could call a cat with tentacles a Flerken but those have tentacles that come from inside your mouth. Makes my throat hurt, lol.

This is such a great fantasy piece. It has a hud to change the textures to the one of your choosing. And an AO comes with it. That lets you sit or fly around/dance in different positions. Folks, this is one from a highly creative individual who put so much detail into it.

After I grabbed this I decided I needed some new fur (skin). I went to a few places and wound up buying the tuxedo skin in fuchsia from Darkmoon Dinkie Fashion Shop. It’s well over the $75L price limit that we usually post but so worth it. My silver bengal skin just didn’t look quite right with the tail.
